1పస్కా అనే పులియని రొట్టెల పండుగ సమీపించినప్పుడు,Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,

10అందుకు ఆయన, “మీరు పట్టణంలో ప్రవేశించినప్పుడు, నీళ్లకుండ ఎత్తుకుని వెళ్తున్న ఒక వ్యక్తి మీకు కలుస్తాడు, అతడు ప్రవేశించే ఇంటి వరకు అతన్ని వెంబడించి,He answered, “When you enter the city, a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him to the house he enters,

11ఆ ఇంటి యజమానితో, ‘నేను నా శిష్యులతో కలిసి పస్కా భోజనం చేయడానికి, అతిథుల గది ఎక్కడ ఉంది? అని బోధకుడు అడగమన్నాడు’ అని చెప్పండి.and say to the owner of that house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’

12అతడు అన్ని సదుపాయాలతో ఉన్న ఒక పెద్ద మేడగదిని మీకు చూపిస్తాడు. అక్కడ సిద్ధం చేయండి” అని చెప్పారు.And he will show you a large upper room, already furnished. Make preparations there.”

13వారు అక్కడికి వెళ్లి యేసు చెప్పినట్లుగా వాటిని కనుగొని పస్కా భోజనాన్ని సిద్ధం చేశారు.So they went and found it just as Jesus had told them. And they prepared the Passover.

16ఎందుకంటే, ఇది దేవుని రాజ్యంలో నెరవేరే వరకు, మరలా దీనిని నేను భుజించను అని మీకు చెప్తున్నాను” అన్నారు.For I tell you that I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

17ఆయన గిన్నెను తీసుకుని, కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించి, “ఇది తీసుకుని మీరందరు పంచుకోండి.After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

18దేవుని రాజ్యం వచ్చేవరకు మళ్ళీ ఈ ద్రాక్షరసం త్రాగనని మీతో చెప్పుతున్నాను” అన్నారు.For I tell you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”

19ఆ తర్వాత ఆయన ఒక రొట్టెను పట్టుకుని, కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించి దానిని విరిచి, వారికిచ్చి, “ఇది మీ కోసం ఇవ్వబడుతున్న నా శరీరం, నన్ను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోవడానికి దీనిని చేయండి” అని చెప్పారు.And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

22నిర్ణయం ప్రకారం మనుష్యకుమారుడు వెళ్లిపోతారు, కాని ఆయనను అప్పగించే వానికి శ్రమ!” అని అన్నారు.Indeed, the Son of Man will go as it has been determined, but woe to that man who betrays Him.”

23అలా చేయబోయేది ఎవరు అని వారు తమలో తాము ప్రశ్నించుకోవడం మొదలుపెట్టారు.Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.

24అంతలో ఎవరు గొప్ప అనే వివాదం వారిలో పుట్టింది.A dispute also arose among the disciples as to which of them should be considered the greatest.

25యేసు వారితో, “యూదేతరుల రాజులు వారి మీద ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తారు; వారి మీద అధికారం చేసేవారు తమను తాము ఉపకారులుగా పిలుచుకుంటారు.So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors.

26కానీ మీరు వారిలా ఉండవద్దు. దాని బదులు, మీలో గొప్పవాడు అందరిలో చిన్నవానిగా ఉండాలి, అధికారి దాసునిగా ఉండాలి.But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves.

27అసలు గొప్పవాడు ఎవరు, భోజనబల్ల దగ్గర ఉన్నవాడా, లేదా సేవ చేసేవాడా? భోజనబల్ల దగ్గర ఉన్నవాడు కాదా? కానీ నేనైతే మీ మధ్య సేవ చేసేవానిలా ఉన్నాను.For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.

28మీరైతే నా శోధన సమయంలో నాతో నిలిచి ఉన్నవారు.You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials.

29కాబట్టి నా తండ్రి నాకు రాజ్యం అనుగ్రహించినట్టుగా, నా రాజ్యంలో మీరు నా భోజనబల్ల దగ్గర కూర్చుని అన్నపానాలను పుచ్చుకొంటూ, సింహాసనాల మీద కూర్చుని ఇశ్రాయేలు పన్నెండు గోత్రాల వారికి తీర్పు తీర్చుటకు నేను మీకు నా రాజ్యాన్ని అనుగ్రహించాను.And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,

31“సీమోనూ, సీమోనూ, సాతాను గోధుమలను జల్లించినట్లు నిన్ను జల్లించాలని అడిగాడు.Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat.

32కానీ నీ విశ్వాసం తప్పిపోకుండా ఉండాలని నేను నీకోసం ప్రార్థించాను. అయితే నీవు స్థిరపడిన తర్వాత నీ సహోదరులను స్థిరపరచు” అని చెప్పారు.But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

33కానీ పేతురు, “ప్రభువా, నీతో కూడ చెరలోనికే కాదు చావటానికైనా నేను సిద్ధమే” అన్నాడు.“Lord,” said Peter, “I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death.”

34అందుకు యేసు, “పేతురూ, ఈ రోజే కోడి కూయక ముందే, నేను నీకు తెలియదని మూడుసార్లు చెప్తావు అని నీతో చెప్తున్నాను” అన్నారు.But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”

35ఇంకా ఆయన, “మీకు డబ్బు సంచి, సంచి, చెప్పులు లేకుండ నేను మిమ్మల్ని పంపినప్పుడు మీకు ఏమైనా తక్కువైనదా?” అని వారిని అడిగారు. దానికి వారు, “ఏమి తక్కువ కాలేదు” అన్నారు.Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out without purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.

36అందుకు ఆయన వారితో, “అయితే ఇప్పుడు ఒకవేళ మీ దగ్గర డబ్బు సంచి ఉంటే, దాన్ని తీసుకెళ్లాలి. ఒకవేళ మీ దగ్గర ఖడ్గం లేకపోతే, మీ పైవస్త్రాన్ని అమ్మి ఖడ్గాన్ని కొనుక్కోవాలి.“Now, however,” He told them, “the one with a purse should take it, and likewise a bag; and the one without a sword should sell his cloak and buy one.

37‘ఆయన అపరాధులలో ఒకనిగా ఎంచబడ్డాడు’ అని వ్రాయబడి ఉంది; నా విషయంలో ఇది నెరవేర్చబడాలి. అవును, నా గురించి వ్రాయబడినవి నెరవేరబోతున్నాయి” అని అన్నారు.For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.”

38శిష్యులు, “ఇదిగో ప్రభువా, ఇక్కడ రెండు ఖడ్గాలు ఉన్నాయి” అన్నారు. ఆయన వారితో, “అవి చాలు!” అని జవాబిచ్చారు.So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.

39భోజనమైన తర్వాత ఆయన బయలుదేరి తన అలవాటు ప్రకారం ఒలీవ కొండకు వెళ్లారు, ఆయన శిష్యులు ఆయనను వెంబడించారు. వారు అక్కడ చేరిన తర్వాత, ఆయన వారితో, “మీరు శోధనలో పడిపోకుండా ఉండడానికి ప్రార్థన చేయండి” అని చెప్పారు.Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.

41అలా చెప్పి వారి నుండి ఒక రాయి విసిరేంత దూరం వెళ్లి, మోకరించి ఇలా ప్రార్థించారు:And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,

42“తండ్రీ, నీ చిత్తమైతే, ఈ గిన్నెను నా నుండి తీసివేయి, అయినా నా చిత్తం కాదు, నీ చిత్త ప్రకారమే చేయి.”“Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

43అప్పుడు పరలోకం నుండి ఒక దూత ఆయనకు కనబడి ఆయనను బలపరిచాడు.Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.

44ఆయన బహు వేదనతో, మరింత పట్టుదలతో ప్రార్థన చేస్తున్నప్పుడు ఆయన చెమట రక్త బిందువుల్లా నేల మీద పడుతూ ఉంది.And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.

45ఆయన ప్రార్థనలో నుండి లేచి శిష్యుల దగ్గరకు తిరిగివచ్చి, వారు దుఃఖంతో అలసి, నిద్రిస్తున్నారని చూశారుWhen Jesus rose from prayer and returned to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.

46ఆయన వారితో, “మీరెందుకు నిద్రపోతున్నారు? శోధనలో పడిపోకుండా లేచి ప్రార్థన చేయండి” అని చెప్పారు.“Why are you sleeping?” He asked. “Get up and pray so that you will not enter into temptation.”

47ఆయన ఇంకా మాట్లాడుతుండగా, ప్రజలు గుంపుగా వచ్చారు, పన్నెండుగురిలో ఒకడైన యూదా అని పిలువబడే వాడు ముందుండి వారిని నడిపించాడు. వాడు యేసుని ముద్దు పెట్టుకోవడానికి ఆయన దగ్గరకు వచ్చాడు.While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.

48అయితే యేసు వానితో, “యూదా, నీవు ముద్దుతో మనుష్యకుమారుని అప్పగిస్తున్నావా?” అని చెప్పారు.But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”

49యేసుతో ఉన్నవారు జరుగబోయేది గ్రహించి, “ప్రభువా, వారిని ఖడ్గంతో నరకమంటావా?” అని ఆయనను అడిగారు.Those around Jesus saw what was about to happen and said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?”

50అంతలో వారిలో ఒకడు ప్రధాన యాజకుని సేవకుడిని కొట్టి, వాని కుడి చెవిని నరికాడు.And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.

51అయితే యేసు, “అంతటితో ఆపండి!” అని చెప్పి, వాని చెవిని ముట్టి స్వస్థపరిచారు.But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.

52యేసు తనను పట్టుకోవడానికి వచ్చిన ముఖ్య యాజకులతో, దేవాలయ కావలివారి అధికారులతో యూదా నాయకులతో, “నన్ను పట్టుకోవడానికి కత్తులతో కర్రలతో వచ్చారు, నేను ఏమైన తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తున్నానా?Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?

53నేను ప్రతిరోజు దేవాలయ ఆవరణంలో కూర్చుని బోధించేటప్పుడు నాపై ఒక చేయి కూడ వేయలేదు. అయినా ఇప్పుడు ఇది మీ సమయం, చీకటి పరిపాలిస్తున్న సమయం” అన్నారు.Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”

54వారు యేసును బంధించి, ప్రధాన యాజకుని ఇంటికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. అప్పుడు పేతురు దూరం నుండి వారిని వెంబడించాడు.Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.

55అక్కడ కొందరు ప్రాంగణం మధ్యలో మంటలు వేసి, కలిసి కూర్చున్నప్పుడు, పేతురు వారితో కూర్చున్నాడు.When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.

56అప్పుడు ఆ మంట వెలుతురులో ఒక దాసియైన అమ్మాయి అతన్ని తేరి చూసి, “ఇతడు కూడా అతనితో ఉన్నవాడే” అన్నది.A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.

57పేతురు దానిని నిరాకరించి, “అమ్మాయి, అతడు ఎవరో నాకు తెలియదు” అన్నాడు.But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.

58కొంతసేపు తర్వాత ఇంకొకడు అతన్ని చూసి, “నీవు కూడా వారిలో ఒకడివి” అన్నాడు. పేతురు, “నేను కాదు!” అన్నాడు.A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”

59ఇంచుమించు ఒక గంట సమయం తర్వాత మరొకడు, “వీడు గలిలయుడే, నిజంగానే వీడు కూడా అతనితో ఉన్నవాడే” అన్నాడు.About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”

60అందుకు పేతురు, “నీవు దేని గురించి మాట్లాడుతున్నావో నాకు తెలియదు” అని చెప్తుండగానే కోడి కూసింది.“Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.

61అప్పుడు ప్రభువు తిరిగి పేతురు వైపు చూశారు అప్పుడు పేతురు, “కోడి కూయక ముందే నేనెవరో నీకు తెలియదు అని మూడుసార్లు చెప్తావు” అని ప్రభువు తనతో చెప్పిన మాటలను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకుని,And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”

62బయటకు వెళ్లి ఎంతో బాధతో ఏడ్చాడు.And he went outside and wept bitterly.

63యేసును కావలివారు ఎగతాళి చేస్తూ, ఆయనను కొట్టారు.The men who were holding Jesus began to mock Him and beat Him.

64వారు ఆయన ముఖాన్ని కప్పి, “నిన్ను ఎవరు కొట్టారో ప్రవచించు!” అన్నారు.They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”

65ఆయనను దూషిస్తూ అనేక మాటలు అన్నారు.And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.

66ఉదయం కాగానే ప్రజానాయకుల సభ, ముఖ్య యాజకులు, ధర్మశాస్త్ర ఉపదేశకులు సమావేశమయ్యారు, యేసు వారి ముందు నడిపించబడ్డారు.At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,

67“నీవు క్రీస్తువైతే, మాతో చెప్పు” అన్నారు. అందుకు యేసు, “నేను మీతో చెప్పినా, మీరు నమ్మరు.“If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.

68ఒకవేళ నేను మిమ్మల్ని అడిగినా, మీరు నాకు జవాబు చెప్పరు.And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.

69కానీ ఇప్పటినుండి మనుష్యకుమారుడు శక్తిగల దేవుని కుడిచేతి వైపున కూర్చుంటాడు” అని వారితో చెప్పారు.But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”

70అందుకు వారందరు, “నీవు దేవుని కుమారుడవా?” అని అడిగారు. అందుకు ఆయన, “అని మీరే అంటున్నారు” అని వారితో చెప్పారు.So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”

71అందుకు వారు, “మనకు ఇంకా సాక్ష్యం ఏం అవసరం? స్వయంగా ఇతడే తన నోటితో పలకడం విన్నాం” అన్నారు.“Why do we need any more testimony?” they declared. “We have heard it for ourselves from His own lips.”
