BSB BSB: Now there was a Benjamite, a powerful man, whose name was Kish son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah of Benjamin.

He and the servant went through the region of Shaalim, but they were not there. Then they went through the land of Benjamin, and still they did not find them.

BSB BSB: “If we do go,” Saul replied, “what can we give the man? For the bread in our packs is gone, and there is no gift to take to the man of God. What do we have?”
8 ULB వాడు సౌలుతో <<అయ్యా, వినండి. నా దగ్గర పావు తులం వెండి ఉంది, మనకు దారి చెప్పినందుకు దాన్ని ఆ దైవజనునికి ఇస్తాను>> అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: The servant answered him again. “Look,” he said, “I have here in my hand a quarter shekel of silver. I will give it to the man of God, and he will tell us our way.”
9 ULB ఇప్పుడు ప్రవక్తగా ఉన్నవాడిని గతంలో దీర్ఘదర్శి అని పిలిచేవాడు. ఇదివరకూ ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఎవరైనా దేవుని నుండి ఏదైనా విషయం తెలుసుకోవాలని ఆశించి వెళ్లే సమయంలో <<మనం దీర్ఘదర్శి దగ్గరకి వెళ్దాం పదండి>> అని చెప్పుకోవడం పరిపాటి. BSB BSB: (Formerly in Israel, a man on his way to inquire of God would say, “Come, let us go to the seer.” For the prophet of today was formerly called the seer.)
10 ULB అప్పుడు సౌలు <<నువ్వు చెప్పింది బాగుంది. వెళ్దాం పద>> అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: “Good,” said Saul to his servant. “Come, let us go.” So they set out for the city where the man of God was.
11 ULB వారు దైవజనుడు ఉండే ఊరికి బయలుదేరారు. ఊరిలోకి వెళ్తుండగా నీళ్లు తోడుకోవడానికి వచ్చిన యువతులు వారికి ఎదురుపడినప్పుడు <<ఇక్కడ దీర్ఘదర్శి ఉన్నాడా?>> అని అడిగారు. BSB BSB: And as they were climbing the hill to the city, they met some young women coming out to draw water and asked, “Is the seer here?”
12 ULB అందుకు వారు <<ఇదిగో అతడు ఈ దగ్గరలోనే ఉన్నాడు. తొందరగా వెళ్ళి కలుసుకోండి. ఈ రోజే అతడు ఊర్లోకి వచ్చాడు. ఈ రోజే ఉన్నత స్థలం లో ప్రజల పక్షంగా బలి అర్పిస్తాడు. BSB BSB: “Yes, he is ahead of you,” they answered. “Hurry now, for today he has come to the city because the people have a sacrifice on the high place.
13 ULB మీరు ఊర్లోకి వెళ్ళగానే అతడు భోజనం చేయడానికి కొండ ప్రాంతానికి వెళ్లక ముందే మీరు అతణ్ణి కలుసుకోవచ్చు. అతడు వచ్చేంత వరకూ ప్రజలు భోజనం చేయరు, అతడు బలిని ఆశీర్వదించిన తరువాతే పిలిచిన వారు భోజనం చేస్తారు. మీరు త్వరగా వెళ్ళండి, అతణ్ణి కలుసుకోడానికి ఇదే సరైన సమయం.>> అని చెప్పారు. BSB BSB: As soon as you enter the city, you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people will not eat until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; after that, the guests will eat. Go up at once; you will find him.”
14 ULB వారు ఊళ్లోకి వెళ్ళగానే కొండ ప్రాంతానికి వెళ్తున్న సమూయేలు వారికి ఎదురయ్యాడు. BSB BSB: So Saul and his servant went up toward the city, and as they were entering it, there was Samuel coming toward them on his way up to the high place.
15 ULB సౌలు అక్కడకు రేపు వస్తాడని యెహోవా సమూయేలుకు చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: Now on the day before Saul’s arrival, the LORD had revealed to Samuel,
16 ULB ఎందుకంటే <<నా ప్రజల విన్నపం నాకు చేరింది. నేను వారిని పట్టించుకొంటున్నాను. కాబట్టి ఫిలిష్తీయుల చేతిలోనుండి నా ప్రజలను విడిపించడానికి నా ప్రజలైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులపై అతణ్ణి రాజుగా అభిషేకించడానికి రేపు ఇదే సమయానికి నేను బెన్యామీను దేశంలో నుండి ఒక వ్యక్తిని నీ దగ్గరికి రప్పిస్తాను.>> BSB BSB: “At this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you are to anoint him ruler over My people Israel; he will save them from the hand of the Philistines. For I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me.”
17 ULB సౌలు సమూయేలుకు కనబడినప్పుడు, యెహోవా <<ఇతడే నేను నీతో చెప్పిన వ్యక్తి. ఇతడే నా ప్రజలను పరిపాలిస్తాడు>> అని అతనితో చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him, “Here is the man of whom I spoke; he shall rule over My people.”
18 ULB సౌలు పురద్వారంలో సమూయేలును కలుసుకుని <<దీర్ఘదర్శి ఉండేది ఎక్కడ? దయచేసి నాకు చూపించండి>> అని అడిగినప్పుడు, BSB BSB: Saul approached Samuel in the gateway and asked, “Would you please tell me where the seer’s house is?”
19 ULB సమూయేలు సౌలును చూసి <<నేనే దీర్ఘదర్శిని. కొండ ప్రాంతానికి వెళ్ళండి, ఈరోజు మీరు నాతో కలసి భోజనం చెయ్యాలి. రేపు నీ సందేహం తీర్చి నేను నిన్ను పంపిస్తాను. BSB BSB: “I am the seer,” Samuel replied. “Go up before me to the high place, for you shall eat with me today. And when I send you off in the morning, I will tell you all that is in your heart.
20 ULB మూడు రోజుల క్రితం తప్పిపోయిన నీ గాడిదలను గూర్చి విచారించవద్దు, అవి దొరికాయి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ఇష్టం ఎవరి పైన ఉంది? నీపైనా, నీ తండ్రి సంతానం పైనే కదా>> అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: As for the donkeys you lost three days ago, do not worry about them, for they have been found. And upon whom is all the desire of Israel, if not upon you and all your father’s house?”
21 ULB అప్పుడు సౌలు <<నేను బెన్యామీను గోత్రానికి చెందినవాణ్ణి కదా. నా గోత్రం ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రాల్లో అల్పమైనది కదా. నా కుటుంబం బెన్యామీను గోత్రపు వారందరిలో అల్పులు కదా? నాతో ఈ విధంగా ఎందుకు మాట్లాడుతున్నావు?>> అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: Saul replied, “Am I not a Benjamite from the smallest tribe of Israel, and is not my clan the least of all the clans of Benjamin? So why would you say such a thing to me?”
22 ULB అయితే సమూయేలు సౌలును, అతని పనివాణ్ణి భోజనపు గదిలోకి వెంటబెట్టుకుని వెళ్ళి తాను పిలిచిన ముప్ఫై మంది ఉన్న మొదటి వరుసలో వారిని కూర్చోబెట్టి BSB BSB: Then Samuel took Saul and his servant, brought them into the hall, and seated them in the place of honor among those who were invited—about thirty in all.
23 ULB వంటవాణ్ణి చూసి <<నేను ఉంచమని చెప్పి నీ చేతికి ఇచ్చిన దాన్ని తీసుకురా>> అని చెప్పినప్పుడు, BSB BSB: And Samuel said to the cook, “Bring the portion I gave you and told you to set aside.”
24 ULB అ వంటవాడు తొడ ఎముకను, దానిపైన ఉన్న మాంసాన్ని తీసుకువచ్చి సౌలుకు వడ్డించాడు. సమూయేలు సౌలుతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. <<చూడు, మనం కలుసుకొనే సమయం కోసం దాచిపెట్టిన దాన్ని నీకు వడ్డించాను. పిలిచిన వాళ్ళు వచ్చినప్పటినుంచి దీన్ని ఈ సందర్భానికి నీ కోసం ఉంచాలని నేను వంటవాడితో చెప్పాను>> అన్నాడు. ఆ రోజు సౌలు సమూయేలుతో కలసి భోజనం చేశాడు. BSB BSB: So the cook picked up the leg and what was attached to it and set it before Saul. Then Samuel said, “Here is what was kept back. It was set apart for you. Eat, for it has been kept for you for this occasion, from the time I said, ‘I have invited the people.’” So Saul dined with Samuel that day.
25 ULB పట్టణ ప్రజలు కొండపై నుండి కిందికి దిగుతున్న సమయంలో సమూయేలు తన ఇంటిపై సౌలుతో మాట్లాడుతున్నాడు. BSB BSB: And after they had come down from the high place into the city, Samuel spoke with Saul on the roof of his house.
26 ULB తరువాతి రోజు తెల్లవారుజామున సమూయేలు<<నేను నీకు వీడ్కోలు చెప్పడానికి మిద్దెమీదికి రా>> అని సౌలును పిలవగా సౌలు లేచాడు. తరువాత వారిద్దరూ బయలుదేరి BSB BSB: They got up early in the morning, and just before dawn Samuel called to Saul on the roof, “Get ready, and I will send you on your way!” So Saul got ready, and both he and Samuel went outside together.
27 ULB ఊరి చివరకూ వస్తుండగా సమూయేలు సౌలుతో <<నీ పనివాణ్ణి మనకంటే ముందుగా వెళ్ళమని చెప్పు. దేవుడు నీతో చెప్పమన్నది నేను నీకు తెలియజేసేవరకూ నువ్వు ఇక్కడే ఆగిపో>> అని చెప్పగా సౌలు పనివాణ్ణి ముందుగా పంపివేశాడు. BSB BSB: As they were going down to the edge of the city, Samuel said to Saul, “Tell the servant to go on ahead of us, but you stay for a while, and I will reveal to you the word of God.” So the servant went on.
