4 ULB మేమక్కడి శిష్యులను కలుసుకొని అక్కడ ఏడు రోజులు ఉన్నాం. వారు ఆత్మ ద్వారా “నీవు యెరూషలేములో కాలు పెట్టవద్దు” అని పౌలుతో చెప్పారు. BSB BSB: We sought out the disciples in Tyre and stayed with them seven days. Through the Spirit they kept telling Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.

BSB BSB: But when our time there had ended, we set out on our journey. All the disciples, with their wives and children, accompanied us out of the city and knelt down on the beach to pray with us.

BSB BSB: Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘In this way the Jews of Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and hand him over to the Gentiles.’”
12 ULB ఈ మాట విన్నప్పుడు మేమూ, అక్కడివారూ యెరూషలేముకు వెళ్ళవద్దని పౌలును బతిమాలుకొన్నాం. BSB BSB: When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 ULB కానీ పౌలు, “ఇదేమిటి? మీరు ఏడ్చి నా గుండె బద్దలు చేస్తున్నారు? నేను ప్రభు యేసు నామం నిమిత్తం యెరూషలేములో బంధకాలకే కాదు, చనిపోవడానికి సైతం సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నాను” అని చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
14 ULB అతడు మనసు మార్చుకోడని గ్రహించాక మేము, “ప్రభువు చిత్తం జరుగుతుంది గాక” అని ఊరుకున్నాం. BSB BSB: When he would not be dissuaded, we quieted down and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”

BSB BSB: Some of the disciples from Caesarea accompanied us, and they took us to stay at the home of Mnason the Cypriot, an early disciple.
17 ULB మేము యెరూషలేము చేరినప్పుడు సోదరులు మమ్మల్ని సంతోషంతో చేర్చుకొన్నారు. BSB BSB: When we arrived in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us joyfully.
18 ULB మరునాడు పెద్దలంతా అక్కడికి వచ్చినపుడు పౌలు మాతో కలిసి యాకోబు దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు. BSB BSB: The next day Paul went in with us to see James, and all the elders were present.

BSB BSB: But they are under the impression that you teach all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or observe our customs.
22 ULB కాబట్టి మనమేం చేద్దాం? నీవు వచ్చిన సంగతి వారికి తప్పకుండా తెలుస్తుంది. BSB BSB: What then should we do? They will certainly hear that you have come.
23 ULB మేము నీకు చెప్పినట్టు చెయ్యి. మొక్కుబడి ఉన్న నలుగురు వ్యక్తులు మా దగ్గర ఉన్నారు. BSB BSB: Therefore do what we advise you. There are four men with us who have taken a vow.
24 ULB నీవు వారిని తీసుకుపోయి వారితో కూడ శుద్ధి చేసుకుని, వారు తల క్షౌరం చేయించుకోడానికి అయ్యే ఖర్చు నువ్వే భరించు. అప్పుడు నిన్ను గూర్చి తాము విన్న సమాచారం నిజం కాదనీ, నువ్వు కూడా ధర్మశాస్త్రాన్ని యథావిధిగా పాటించే వ్యక్తివనీ వీరు గ్రహిస్తారు. BSB BSB: Take these men, purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so they can have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know that there is no truth to these rumors about you, but that you also live in obedience to the law.

BSB BSB: As for the Gentile believers, we have written to them our decision that they must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality.”
26 ULB కాబట్టి పౌలు ఆ మరునాడు మొక్కుబడి ఉన్న ఆ వ్యక్తుల్ని వెంటబెట్టుకొని వెళ్ళి, వారితో కలిసి శుద్ధి చేసుకుని, దేవాలయంలో ప్రవేశించి, వారందరి పక్షంగా కానుక అర్పించే వరకూ శుద్ధిదినాలు నెరవేరుస్తానని చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: So the next day Paul took the men and purified himself along with them. Then he entered the temple to give notice of the date when their purification would be complete and the offering would be made for each of them.

30 ULB పట్టణమంతా గందరగోళంగా ఉంది. ప్రజలు గుంపులు గుంపులుగా పరుగెత్తుకు వచ్చి, పౌలును పట్టుకొని దేవాలయంలో నుండి బయటికి ఈడ్చి తలుపులు మూసేశారు. BSB BSB: The whole city was stirred up, and the people rushed together. They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut.
31 ULB వారు అతణ్ణి చంపడానికి ప్రయత్నించారు. యెరూషలేము నగరమంతా అల్లకల్లోలంగా ఉందని ప్రధాన సైన్యాధికారికి సమాచారం వచ్చింది. BSB BSB: While they were trying to kill him, the commander of the Roman regiment received a report that all Jerusalem was in turmoil.

And since the commander could not get at the truth because of the uproar, he ordered that Paul be brought into the barracks.
35 ULB పౌలు మెట్ల మీదికి వచ్చినప్పుడు ప్రజలు గుంపులుగా పోగై దాడికి దిగడం వలన సైనికులు అతణ్ణి మోసుకుపోవలసి వచ్చింది. BSB BSB: When Paul reached the steps, he had to be carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the mob.
36 ULB ఎందుకంటే అతణ్ణి చంపమని ఆ జనసమూహం కేకలు వేస్తూ వారి వెంటబడ్డారు. BSB BSB: For the crowd that followed him kept shouting, “Away with him!”
37 ULB వారు పౌలుని కోటలోకి తీసుకు పోతుండగా అతడు ఆ సేనాధిపతిని, “నేను నీతో ఒక మాట చెప్పవచ్చా?” అని అడిగాడు. అందుకు అతడు, “నీకు గ్రీకు భాష తెలుసా?’ BSB BSB: As they were about to take Paul into the barracks, he asked the commander, “May I say something to you?” “Do you speak Greek?” he replied.
38 ULB ఇంతకు ముందు నాలుగు వేలమంది ఉగ్రవాదులను తీసుకుని అరణ్యంలోకి పారిపోయిన ఐగుప్తీయుడివి నువ్వే కదా?” అని అడిగాడు. BSB BSB: “Aren’t you the Egyptian who incited a rebellion some time ago and led four thousand members of the Assassins into the wilderness?”
39 ULB అందుకు పౌలు, “నేను కిలికియలోని తార్సు పట్టణానికి చెందిన యూదుణ్ణి. ఒక మహా పట్టణపు పౌరుణ్ణి. నాకు ఈ ప్రజలతో మాటలాడే అవకాశం ఇవ్వమని నిన్ను వేడుకుంటున్నాను” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: But Paul answered, “I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no ordinary city. Now I beg you to allow me to speak to the people.”
