Proverbs 14 (ULB)

1జ్ఞానం ఉన్న స్త్రీ తన ఇంటిని చక్కబెట్టుకుంటుంది. మూర్ఖురాలు చేతులారా తన కాపురం నాశనం చేసుకుంటుంది.Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.

2యెహోవాపట్ల భయం, భక్తి ఉన్నవాడు నిజాయితీగా మసులుకుంటాడు. కపటంగా ప్రవర్తించే వాడు ఆయనను తిరస్కరిస్తాడు.He who walks in uprightness fears the LORD, but the one who is devious in his ways despises Him.

3మూర్ఖుల నోటిలో గర్వం అనే బెత్తం ఉన్నది. జ్ఞానం గలవారి నోటి నుంచి వచ్చే మాటలు వారిని కాపాడతాయి.The proud speech of a fool brings a rod to his back, but the lips of the wise protect them.

4ఎద్దులు లేకపోతే కొట్లలో ధాన్యం ఉండదు. ఎద్దులు బలంగా ఉంటే అధిక రాబడి వస్తుంది.Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but an abundant harvest comes through the strength of the ox.

5నమ్మకమైన సాక్షి అబద్ధం పలకడు. కపట సాక్షికి అబద్ధాలు చెప్పడమే ఇష్టం.An honest witness does not deceive, but a dishonest witness pours forth lies.

6బుద్ధిహీనుడు జ్ఞానం కోసం వెదికినా అది దొరకదు. తెలివిగలవాడు తేలికగా జ్ఞానం పొందుతాడు.A mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

7బుద్ధిహీనుడి దగ్గర మంచి మాటలు ఏమీ దొరకవు కనుక వాడితో స్నేహం చేయవద్దు.Stay away from a foolish man; you will gain no knowledge from his speech.

8వివేకం ఉన్నవారు తమ ప్రవర్తన విషయంలో జ్ఞానం కలిగి జాగ్రత్తగా ప్రవర్తిస్తారు. బుద్ధి లేనివారు తమ మూర్ఖత్వంతో మోసపూరిత కార్యాలు జరిగిస్తారు.The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way, but the folly of fools deceives them.

9మూర్ఖులు చేసే అపరాధ పరిహార బలి వారిని ఎగతాళి చేస్తుంది. యథార్థవంతులు ఒకరిపట్ల ఒకరు దయ కలిగి ఉంటారు.Fools mock the making of amends, but goodwill is found among the upright.

10ఎవడి హృదయంలో ఉండే దుఃఖం వాడికే తెలుస్తుంది. ఒకడి సంతోషంలో బయటి వ్యక్తి పాలు పొందలేడు.The heart knows its own bitterness, and no stranger shares in its joy.

11దుర్మార్గుడి ఇల్లు నాశనం అవుతుంది. యథార్థవంతుల గుడారం స్థిరంగా నిలుస్తుంది.The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.

12ఒకడు తనకు నచ్చినదే సరియైనదిగా భావిస్తాడు. అయితే చివరికి అది నాశనానికి నడిపిస్తుంది.There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

13ఒకడు బయటికి నవ్వుతో ఉన్నప్పటికీ హృదయంలో దుఃఖం ఉండవచ్చు. సంతోషం చివరికి శోకంగా మారిపోవచ్చు.Even in laughter the heart may ache, and joy may end in sorrow.

14భక్తిహీనుడి మార్గాలు చివరికి వాడికే వెగటు కలుగుతాయి. మంచి వ్యక్తి తన ప్రవర్తన పట్ల సంతృప్తి చెందుతాడు.The backslider in heart receives the fill of his own ways, but a good man is rewarded for his ways.

15తెలివితక్కువవాడు ప్రతి విషయాన్నీ నమ్ముతాడు. వివేకం గలవాడు తన ప్రవర్తన విషయంలో జాగ్రత్త వహిస్తాడు.The simple man believes every word, but the prudent man watches his steps.

16జ్ఞానం ఉన్నవాడు కీడుకు భయపడి దాని నుంచి దూరంగా వెళ్తాడు. మూర్ఖుడు అహంకారంతో భయం లేకుండా తిరుగుతాడు.A wise man fears and turns from evil, but a fool is careless and reckless.

17తొందరగా కోపం తెచ్చుకునేవాడు తన మూర్ఖత్వం ప్రదర్శిస్తాడు. చెడు ఆలోచనలు చేసేవాడు ద్వేషానికి గురౌతాడు.A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a devious man is hated.

18బుద్ధిహీనులు తమ మూర్ఖత్వమే ఆస్తిగా కలిగి ఉంటారు. వివేకం ఉన్నవారు జ్ఞానాన్ని కిరీటంగా ధరించుకుంటారు.The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

19చెడ్డవారు మంచివారి ఎదుట, భక్తిహీనులు నీతిమంతుల గుమ్మాల ఎదుట నిలబడతారు.The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

20దరిద్రుణ్ణి వాడి పొరుగువాడే అసహ్యించుకుంటాడు. ధనవంతుణ్ణి ప్రేమించే వాళ్ళు చాలామంది.The poor man is hated even by his neighbor, but many are those who love the rich.

21పేదవారిని ఆదరించేవాడు ధన్యజీవి. తన పొరుగువాణ్ణి తిరస్కరించేవాడు పాపం చేసినట్టే.He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who shows kindness to the poor.

22కీడు తలపెట్టేవారు కూలిపోతారు. మేలు చేసే వారికి దయ, సత్యం ప్రాప్తిస్తాయి.Do not those who contrive evil go astray? But those who plan goodness find loving devotion and faithfulness.

23కష్టంతో కూడిన ఏ పని చేసినా ఫలితం దక్కుతుంది. వ్యర్ధమైన మాటలు దరిద్రానికి నడుపుతాయి.There is profit in all labor, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

24ఐశ్వర్యం జ్ఞానులకు కిరీటం వంటిది. బుద్ధిహీనుల మూర్ఖత్వం వారికి మరింత మూర్ఖత్వం తెచ్చిపెడుతుంది.The crown of the wise is their wealth, but the effort of fools is folly.

25నిజాలు పలికే సాక్షి మనుషులను కాపాడతాడు. అబద్ధాలు చెప్పేవాడు కేవలం మోసగాడు.A truthful witness saves lives, but one who utters lies is deceitful.

26యెహోవాపట్ల భయం, భక్తి కలిగి ఉన్నవారు ఎంతో ధైర్యంగా ఉంటారు. వారి సంతానానికి ఆశ్రయం దొరుకుతుంది.He who fears the LORD is secure in confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.

27యెహోవా పట్ల భయభక్తులు జీవం కలిగించే ఊట. దాని మూలంగా వారు మరణం ఉచ్చుల్లో నుండి తప్పించు కుంటారు.The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.

28జనాభా పెరుగుదల రాజులకు ఘనత కలిగిస్తుంది. ప్రజల క్షీణత రాజుల పతనానికి కారణం.A large population is a king’s splendor, but a lack of subjects is a prince’s ruin.

29వివేకం గలవాడు త్వరగా కోపం తెచ్చుకోడు. ముక్కోపికి మూర్ఖత్వమే బహుమతిగా దక్కుతుంది.A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man promotes folly.

30సాత్వికమైన మనస్సు శరీరానికి జీవం పెంచుతుంది. అసూయ ఎముకలు కుళ్ళిపోయేలా చేస్తుంది.A tranquil heart is life to the body, but envy rots the bones.

31దరిద్రుణ్ణి కష్టపెట్టేవాడు వాడి సృష్టికర్త అయిన దేవుణ్ణి దూషించినట్టే. పేదవారిని ఆదరించేవాడు దేవుణ్ణి ఘనపరుస్తున్నాడు.Whoever oppresses the poor taunts their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors Him.

32కీడు కలిగినప్పుడు తమ చెడ్డ పనుల వల్ల భక్తిహీనులు నశిస్తారు. నీతిమంతునికి సత్య సమయంలో కూడా ఆశ్రయం దొరుకుతుంది.The wicked man is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous man has a refuge even in death.

33తెలివిగలవాడి హృదయంలో జ్ఞానం సుఖంగా నివసిస్తుంది. బుద్ధిహీనులు తమ మనసులో ఉన్నది తొందరగా బయటపెతారు.Wisdom rests in the heart of the discerning; even among fools she is known.

34ప్రజలు ఘనత పొందడానికి వారి న్యాయవర్తన కారణం అవుతుంది. అపరాధ ప్రవర్తన ప్రజలను అవమానాల పాలు చేస్తుంది.Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

35తెలివి గల సేవకుడు రాజుల అభిమానం చూరగొంటాడు. అవమానం కలిగించే సేవకుడి పై రాజు కోప పడతాడు.A king delights in a wise servant, but his anger falls on the shameful.
