12ถ้าเราบอกเรื่องทางโลกแก่พวกคุณแล้วพวกคุณยังไม่เชื่อ พวกคุณจะเชื่อได้อย่างไรถ้าเราบอกเรื่องทางสวรรค์?If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?

13ไม่มีใครขึ้นไปสวรรค์ นอกจากผู้ที่ลงมาจากสวรรค์ คือบุตรมนุษย์ ผู้อยู่ในสวรรค์No one has ascended into heaven except the One who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.

17เพราะพระเจ้าไม่ได้ส่งพระบุตรเข้ามาในโลกเพื่อพิพากษาโลก แต่เพื่อให้โลกรอดผ่านพระองค์For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

18คนที่เชื่อในพระองค์ไม่ถูกพิพากษา ส่วนคนที่ไม่เชื่อก็ถูกพิพากษาแล้ว เพราะเขาไม่ได้เชื่อในพระนามของพระบุตรผู้บังเกิดเพียงองค์เดียวของพระเจ้าWhoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

19การพิพากษาเป็นอย่างนี้ คือ ความสว่างได้เข้ามาในโลก แต่ผู้คนรักความมืดมากกว่าความสว่าง เพราะการกระทำของพวกเขาชั่วร้ายAnd this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil.

20เพราะทุกคนที่ทำชั่วเกลียดความสว่าง และไม่เข้ามาหาความสว่าง เพื่อไม่ให้การกระทำของตนถูกเปิดโปงEveryone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

25แล้วสาวกของยอห์นเกิดโต้เถียงกับชาวยิวบางคนเรื่องการชำระตัวThen a dispute arose between John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the issue of ceremonial washing.

The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him, and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

31“ผู้ที่มาจากเบื้องบนอยู่เหนือทุกคน ผู้ที่มาจากแผ่นดินโลกก็เป็นของแผ่นดินโลก และพูดเรื่องของแผ่นดินโลก ผู้ที่มาจากสวรรค์อยู่เหนือทุกคนThe One who comes from above is above all. The one who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth. The One who comes from heaven is above all.

32พระองค์เป็นพยานถึงสิ่งที่พระองค์ได้เห็นและได้ยิน แต่ไม่มีใครยอมรับคำพยานของพระองค์He testifies to what He has seen and heard, yet no one accepts His testimony.

34ผู้ที่พระเจ้าส่งมานั้นพูดถ้อยคำของพระเจ้า เพราะพระเจ้าประทานพระวิญญาณอย่างไม่จำกัดFor the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

35พระบิดารักพระบุตร และมอบทุกสิ่งไว้ในมือของพระองค์The Father loves the Son and has placed all things in His hands.

36คนที่เชื่อในพระบุตรมีชีวิตนิรันดร์ แต่คนที่ไม่เชื่อฟังพระบุตรจะไม่ได้เห็นชีวิต และความโกรธของพระเจ้ายังคงอยู่เหนือเขา”Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him.”
