Luke 12 (THAFB)

Jesus began to speak first to His disciples: “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

9แต่คนที่ปฏิเสธเราต่อหน้ามนุษย์ ก็จะถูกปฏิเสธต่อหน้าทูตสวรรค์ของพระเจ้าBut whoever denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

13คนหนึ่งในฝูงชนกล่าวกับพระองค์ว่า “อาจารย์ โปรดบอกพี่ชายของข้าพเจ้าให้แบ่งมรดกกับข้าพเจ้าด้วย”Someone in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

14แต่พระองค์กล่าวกับเขาว่า “ท่าน ใครตั้งเราให้เป็นผู้พิพากษาหรือผู้แบ่งทรัพย์สินให้พวกคุณ?”But Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed Me judge or executor between you?”

15แล้วพระองค์กล่าวกับพวกเขาว่า “จงระวัง! จงระวังตัวให้พ้นจากความโลภทุกอย่าง เพราะชีวิตของคนเราไม่ได้ขึ้นอยู่กับการมีทรัพย์สมบัติมากมาย”And He said to them, “Watch out! Guard yourselves against every form of greed, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

18แล้วเขาก็พูดว่า ‘ฉันจะทำอย่างนี้ ฉันจะรื้อยุ้งฉางของฉันแล้วสร้างให้ใหญ่กว่าเดิม และจะเก็บข้าวกับทรัพย์สินทั้งหมดไว้ที่นั่นThen he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and will build bigger ones, and there I will store up all my grain and my goods.

20“แต่พระเจ้ากล่าวกับเขาว่า ‘คนโง่ คืนนี้จิตของเจ้าจะถูกเรียกคืนจากเจ้า แล้วสิ่งที่เจ้าเตรียมไว้จะเป็นของใคร?’But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be required of you. Then who will own what you have accumulated?’

23เพราะชีวิตสำคัญกว่าอาหาร และร่างกายสำคัญกว่าเสื้อผ้าFor life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

24จงพิจารณาดูฝูงกา พวกมันไม่หว่าน ไม่เกี่ยว ไม่มีคลังหรือยุ้งฉาง แต่พระเจ้าก็เลี้ยงพวกมัน พวกคุณมีค่ามากกว่านกสักเพียงใด!Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn; yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than the birds!

25มีใครบ้างในพวกคุณที่เพียงกังวลก็สามารถเพิ่มความสูงให้ตนเองได้หนึ่งศอก?Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

26ถ้าพวกคุณทำแม้แต่สิ่งเล็กน้อยเช่นนี้ไม่ได้ แล้วจะกังวลเรื่องอื่นทำไม?So if you cannot do such a small thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.

29“อย่ามัวแสวงหาว่าจะกินอะไรหรือดื่มอะไร และอย่ากังวลAnd do not be concerned about what you will eat or drink. Do not worry about it.

30เพราะบรรดาประชาชาติในโลกแสวงหาสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด แต่พระบิดาของพวกคุณรู้ว่าพวกคุณต้องการสิ่งเหล่านี้For the Gentiles of the world strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31แต่จงแสวงหาอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า แล้วสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมดจะเพิ่มให้แก่พวกคุณBut seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you.

33จงขายสิ่งที่พวกคุณมี และให้แก่คนขัดสน จงเตรียมถุงเงินที่ไม่มีวันเก่าไว้สำหรับตนเอง คือทรัพย์สมบัติในสวรรค์ที่ไม่มีวันหมด ที่ซึ่งไม่มีขโมยเข้าใกล้และไม่มีแมลงทำลายSell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

34เพราะทรัพย์สมบัติของพวกคุณอยู่ที่ไหน ใจของพวกคุณก็จะอยู่ที่นั่นด้วยFor where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

35“จงคาดเอวเตรียมพร้อม และจุดตะเกียงไว้Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning.

36จงเป็นเหมือนคนที่กำลังรอเจ้านายของตนกลับจากงานแต่งงาน เพื่อว่าเมื่อเขามาถึงและเคาะประตู พวกเขาจะเปิดให้ทันทีThen you will be like servants waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.

41เปโตรถามพระองค์ว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ท่านเล่าอุปมานี้ให้พวกเราฟัง หรือให้ทุกคนฟัง?”“Lord,” said Peter, “are You addressing this parable to us, or to everyone else as well?”

42องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้ากล่าวว่า “ถ้าอย่างนั้น ใครคือผู้จัดการที่ซื่อสัตย์และมีปัญญา ซึ่งเจ้านายจะตั้งให้ดูแลคนในบ้าน เพื่อแจกอาหารให้พวกเขาตามเวลา?And the Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their portion at the proper time?

45แต่ถ้าผู้รับใช้คนนั้นคิดในใจว่า ‘เจ้านายของฉันยังไม่กลับมาอีกนาน’ แล้วเริ่มทุบตีคนรับใช้ชายและหญิง ทั้งกิน ดื่ม และเมามายBut suppose that servant says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and he begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk.

46เจ้านายของผู้รับใช้คนนั้นจะกลับมาในวันที่เขาไม่คาดคิดและในเวลาที่เขาไม่รู้ แล้วจะฟันเขาเป็นสองท่อน และให้เขารับส่วนเดียวกับคนที่ไม่ซื่อสัตย์The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.

49“เรามาเพื่อโยนไฟลงบนแผ่นดินโลก และเราอยากให้ไฟนั้นลุกขึ้นแล้ว!I have come to ignite a fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

50แต่เรามีบัพติศมาที่จะต้องรับ และเรารู้สึกกดดันเพียงใดจนกว่าสิ่งนั้นจะสำเร็จ!But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

55เมื่อมีลมใต้พัดมา พวกคุณก็พูดว่า ‘อากาศจะร้อนจัด’ แล้วก็เป็นเช่นนั้นAnd when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It will be hot,’ and it is.

56คนหน้าซื่อใจคด! พวกคุณรู้จักตีความลักษณะของแผ่นดินและท้องฟ้า แล้วทำไมจึงไม่รู้จักตีความเวลานี้?You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and sky. Why don’t you know how to interpret the present time?

57“ทำไมพวกคุณไม่ตัดสินด้วยตนเองว่าอะไรถูกต้อง?And why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?

58เพราะเมื่อท่านกำลังไปกับคู่กรณีต่อหน้าผู้มีอำนาจตัดสินคดี จงพยายามอย่างเต็มที่ที่จะตกลงกับเขาระหว่างทาง เพื่อไม่ให้เขาลากท่านไปหาผู้พิพากษา แล้วผู้พิพากษามอบท่านให้เจ้าหน้าที่ และเจ้าหน้าที่โยนท่านเข้าคุกMake every effort to reconcile with your adversary while you are on your way to the magistrate. Otherwise, he may drag you off to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and the officer may throw you into prison.

59เราบอกท่านว่า ท่านจะออกจากที่นั่นไม่ได้เลยจนกว่าจะจ่ายเหรียญสุดท้ายครบ”I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the very last penny.”
