Freedom in Christ 2 TNT Beholde I Paul saye vnto you that yf ye be circumcised Christ shall proffit you nothinge at all. BSB BSB: Take notice: I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.
3 TNT I testifie agayne to every man which is circumcised that he is bounde to kepe the whole lawe. BSB BSB: Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
4 TNT Ye are gone quyte from Christ as many as are iustified by the lawe and are fallen from grace. BSB BSB: You who are trying to be justified by the law have been severed from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
5 TNT We loke for and hope in the sprite to be iustified thorow fayth. BSB BSB: But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the hope of righteousness.
7 TNT Ye did runne well: who was a let vnto you that ye shuld not obey the trueth? BSB BSB: You were running so well. Who has obstructed you from obeying the truth?
8 TNT Even that counsell that is not of him that called you. BSB BSB: Such persuasion does not come from the One who calls you.
9 TNT A lytell leven doth leven the whole lompe of dowe. BSB BSB: A little leaven works through the whole batch of dough.
10 TNT I have trust towarde you in the Lorde that ye wyll be none other wyse mynded. He that troubleth you shall beare his iudgement what soever he be. BSB BSB: I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is troubling you will bear the judgment, whoever he may be.
11 TNT Brethren yf I yet preache circucision: why do I then yet suffre persecucion? For then had the offence which the crosse geveth ceased. BSB BSB: Now, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.
12 TNT I wolde to God they were seperated from you which trouble you. BSB BSB: As for those who are agitating you, I wish they would proceed to emasculate themselves!
13 TNT Brethren ye were called in to (libertie) only let not youre libertie be an occasion vnto the flesshe but in love serve one another. BSB BSB: For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.
14 TNT For all the lawe is fulfilled in one worde which is this: thou shalt love thyne neghbour as thy selfe. BSB BSB: The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
15 TNT Yf ye byte and devoure one another: take hede lest ye be consumed one of another. BSB BSB: But if you keep on biting and devouring one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another.
Walking by the Spirit (Ezekiel 36:16–38; Romans 8:9–11)
16 TNT I saye walke in the sprete and fulfill not the lustes of the flesshe. BSB BSB: So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 TNT For the flesshe lusteth contrary to the sprete and the sprete cotrary to the flesshe. These are contrary one to the other so that ye cannot do that which ye wolde. BSB BSB: For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want.
18 TNT But and yf ye be ledde of the sprete then are ye not vnder the lawe. BSB BSB: But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 TNT The dedes of the flesshe are manyfest whiche are these advoutrie fornicacion vnclenes wantannes BSB BSB: The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;
20 TNT ydolatrye witchecraft hatred variaunce zele wrath stryfe sedicion sectes BSB BSB: idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions,
21 TNT envyinge murther dronkenes glottony and soche lyke: of the which I tell you before as I have tolde you in tyme past that they which comit soche thinges shall not inherite the kyngdome of God. BSB BSB: and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 TNT But the frute of sprete is loue ioye peace longesufferinge gentlenes goodnes faythfulnes BSB BSB: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 TNT meknes temperancye. Agaynst suche ther is no lawe. BSB BSB: gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 TNT They ye are Christis have crucified the flesshe with the appetites and lustes BSB BSB: Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 TNT Yf we lyve in the sprete let vs walke in the sprete. BSB BSB: Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.
26 TNT Let vs not be vayne glorious provokinge one another and envyinge one another. BSB BSB: Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying one another.
