1 ULB ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो, ख़ुदावन्द का शुक्र करो, क्यूँकि वह भला है; और उसकी शफ़क़त हमेशा की है! BSB BSB: Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
2 ULB कौन ख़ुदावन्द की कु़दरत के कामों काबयान कर सकता है, या उसकी पूरी सिताइश सुना सकता है? BSB BSB: Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?
3 ULB ~मुबारक हैं वह जो 'अद्ल करते हैं, और वह जो हर वक़्त सदाक़त के~काम करता है। BSB BSB: Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.
4 ULB ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, उस करम से जो तू अपने लोगों पर करता है मुझे याद कर, अपनी नजात मुझे इनायत फ़रमा, BSB BSB: Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,
5 ULB ताकि मैं तेरे बरगुज़ीदों की इक़बालमंदी देखें और तेरी क़ौम की ख़ुशी में ख़ुश रहूँ। और तेरी मीरास के लोगों के साथ फ़ख़्र करूँ। BSB BSB: that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.
6 ULB हम ने और हमारे बाप दादा ने गुनाह किया; हम ने बदकारी की, हम ने शरारत के काम किए! BSB BSB: We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
7 ULB हमारे बाप-दादा मिस्र में तेरे 'अजाइब न समझे; उन्होंने तेरी शफ़क़त की कसरत को याद न किया; बल्कि समन्दर पर या'नी बहर-ए-कु़लज़ुम पर बाग़ी हुए। BSB BSB: Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.
8 ULB तोभी उसने उनको अपने नाम की ख़ातिर बचाया, ताकि अपनी कु़दरत ज़ाहिर करे BSB BSB: Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.
9 ULB उसने बहर-ए-कु़लज़ुम को डाँटा और वह सूख गया। वह उनकी गहराव में से ऐसे निकाल ले गया जैसे वीरान में से. BSB BSB: He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.
10 ULB ~और उसने उनको 'अदावत रखने वाले के हाथ से बचाया, और दुश्मन के हाथ से छुड़ाया। BSB BSB: He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 ULB समन्दर ने उनके मुख़ालिफ़ों को छिपा लियाः उनमें से एक भी न बचा। BSB BSB: The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.
12 ULB ~तब उन्होंने उसके क़ौल का यक़ीन किया; और उसकी मदहसराई करने लगे। BSB BSB: Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.
13 ULB ~फिर वह जल्द उसके कामों को भूल गए, और उसकी मश्वरत का इन्तिज़ार न किया। BSB BSB: Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.
14 ULB ~बल्कि वीरान में बड़ी हिर्स की, और सेहरा में ख़ुदा को आज़माया। BSB BSB: They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.
15 ULB ~फिर उसने उनकी मुराद तो पूरी कर दी, लेकिन उनकी जान को सुखा दिया। BSB BSB: So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.
16 ULB ~उन्होंने ख़ेमागाह में मूसा पर, और ख़ुदावन्द के पाक मर्द हारून पर हसद किया। BSB BSB: In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17 ULB ~फिर ज़मीन फटी और दातन को निगल गई, और अबिराम की जमा'अत को खा गई, BSB BSB: The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.
18 ULB और उनके जत्थे में आग भड़क उठी, और शो'लों ने शरीरों को भसम कर दिया। BSB BSB: Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.
19 ULB उन्होंने होरिब में एक बछड़ा बनाया, और ढाली हुई मूरत को सिज्दा किया। BSB BSB: At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.
20 ULB यूँ उन्होंने ख़ुदा के जलाल को, घास खाने वाले बैल की शक्ल से बदल दिया। BSB BSB: They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.
21 ULB वह अपने मुनज्जी ख़ुदा को भूल गए, जिसने मिस्र में बड़े बड़े काम किए, BSB BSB: They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,
22 ULB और हाम की सरज़मीन में 'अजाइब, और बहर-ए-कु़लजु़म पर दहशत अंगेज़ काम किए। BSB BSB: wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23 ULB इसलिए उसने फ़रमाया, मैं उनको हलाक कर डालता, अगर मेरा बरगुज़ीदा मूसा मेरे सामने बीच में न आता कि मेरे क़हर को टाल दे, ऐसा न हो कि मैं उनको हलाक करूँ। BSB BSB: So He said He would destroy them—had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.
24 ULB और उन्होंने उस सुहाने मुल्क को हक़ीर जाना, और उसके क़ौल का यक़ीन न किया। BSB BSB: They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.
25 ULB ~बल्कि वह अपने डेरों में बड़बड़ाए, और ख़ुदावन्द की बात न मानी। BSB BSB: They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.
26 ULB ~तब उसने उनके ख़िलाफ़ क़सम खाई कि मैं उनको वीरान में पस्त करूँगा, BSB BSB: So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,
27 ULB और उनकी नसल की क़ौमों के बीच और उनको मुल्क मुल्क में तितर बितर करूँगा। BSB BSB: to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
28 ULB वह बा'ल फ़गू़र को पूजने लगे, और बुतों की कु़र्बानियाँ खाने लगे। BSB BSB: They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.
29 ULB यूँ उन्होंने अपने आ'माल से उसको ना ख़ुश किया, और वबा उनमें फूट निकली। BSB BSB: So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
30 ULB तब फ़ीन्हास उठा और बीच में आया, और वबा रुक गई। BSB BSB: But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.
31 ULB और यह काम उसके हक़ में नसल दर नसल, हमेशा के लिए रास्तबाज़ी गिना गया। BSB BSB: It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
32 ULB ~उन्होंने उसकी मरीबा के चश्मे पर भी नाख़ुश किया, और उनकी ख़ातिर मूसा को नुक़सान पहुँचा; BSB BSB: At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.
33 ULB ~इसलिए कि उन्होंने उसकी रूह से सरकशी की, और मूसा बे सोचे बोल उठा। BSB BSB: For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.
34 ULB उन्होंने उन क़ौमों को हलाक न किया, जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने उनको हुक्म दिया था, BSB BSB: They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
35 ULB ~बल्कि उन कौमों के साथ मिल गए, और उनके से काम सीख गए; BSB BSB: but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
36 ULB और उनके बुतों की परस्तिश करने लगे, जो उनके लिए फंदा बन गए। BSB BSB: They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
37 ULB बल्कि उन्होंने अपने बेटे बेटियों को, शयातीन के लिए कु़र्बान किया: BSB BSB: They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
38 ULB ~और मासूमों का या'नी अपने बेटे बेटियों का खू़न बहाया,. जिनको उन्होंने कना'न के बुतों के लिए कु़र्बान कर दियाः और मुल्क खू़न से नापाक हो गया। BSB BSB: They shed innocent blood—the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.
39 ULB ~यूँ वह अपने ही कामों से आलूदा हो गए, और अपने फ़े'लों से बेवफ़ा बने। BSB BSB: They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.
40 ULB ~इसलिए ख़ुदावन्द का क़हर अपने लोगों पर भड़का, और उसे अपनी मीरास से नफ़रत हो गई; BSB BSB: So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 ULB ~और उसने उनकी क़ौमों के क़ब्ज़े में कर दिया, और उनसे 'अदावत रखने वाले उन पर हुक्मरान हो गए। BSB BSB: He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 ULB उनके दुशमनों ने उन पर ज़ुल्म किया, और वह उनके महकूम हो गए। BSB BSB: Their enemies oppressed them and subdued them under their hand.
43 ULB ~उसने तो बारहा उनको छुड़ाया, लेकिन उनका मश्वरा बग़ावत वाला ही रहा और वह अपनी बदकारी के वजह से पस्त हो गए। BSB BSB: Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.
44 ULB तोभी जब उसने उनकी फ़रियाद सुनी, तो उनके दुख पर नज़र की। BSB BSB: Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.
45 ULB ~और उसने उनके हक़ में अपने 'अहद को याद किया, और अपनी शफ़क़त की कसरत के मुताबिक़ तरस खाया। BSB BSB: And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.
46 ULB ~उसने उनकी ग़ुलाम करने वालों के दिलमें उनके लिए रहम डाला। BSB BSB: He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.
47 ULB ~ऐ ख़ुदावन्द, हमारे ख़ुदा! हम को बचा ले, और हम को क़ौमों में से इकट्ठा कर ले, ताकि हम तेरे पाक नाम का शुक्र करें, और ललकारते हुए तेरी सिताइश करें। BSB BSB: Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.
48 ULB ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल का ख़ुदा, इब्तिदा से हमेशा तक मुबारक हो! ख़ुदावन्द की हम्द करो*। BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
