1. 1URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر نے مُجھے یہ دِکھایا: شاہی حِصّے کی فصل کٹنے کے بعد، جَب دُوسری فصل آنے والی تھی، تَب یَاہوِہ ٹِڈّیوں کا ایک غول تیّار کر رہے تھے۔BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.
2. 2URDOUCVجَب ٹِڈّیاں زمین کی سَب گھاس کو بالکُل چٹ کر گئیں، تَب مَیں نے زور سے چِلّاکر فریاد کی، ”اَے یَاہوِہ قادر، مُعاف کریں، یعقوب کیسے زندہ رہ سَکتا ہے؟ وہ تو بہت ہی چھوٹاہے!“BSBBSB: And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
3. 3URDOUCVپس یَاہوِہ نے رحم کیا اَور اَپنے کام کو روک دیا۔ اَور فرمایا، ”اَب اَیسا نہیں ہوگا۔“BSBBSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.
4. 4URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر نے مُجھے یہ دِکھایا: یَاہوِہ قادر نے اِنصاف کرنے کے لیٔے آگ کو بُلایا۔ اَور اُس آگ نے گہرے سمُندر کو سُکھا دیا اَور زمین کو نگل گئی۔BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
5. 5URDOUCVتَب مَیں چِلّایا، ”اَے یَاہوِہ قادر، مَیں آپ سے مِنّت کرتا ہُوں، اِسے روک دیجئے! یعقوب کیسے زندہ رہ سَکتا ہے؟ وہ تو بہت ہی چھوٹاہے۔“BSBBSB: Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
6. 6URDOUCVتَب یَاہوِہ نے اُس آفت کو ٹال دیا، اَور پھر یَاہوِہ قادر نے فرمایا، ”اَب اَیسا نہیں ہوگا۔“BSBBSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.
7. 7URDOUCVپھر خُداوؔند نے مُجھے یہ دِکھایا: خُداوؔند اَپنے ایک ہاتھ میں ایک ساہول لئے ہُوئے ساہول کی ایک دیوار پر کھڑے ہیں۔BSBBSB: This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.
8. 8URDOUCVاَور یَاہوِہ نے مُجھ سے پُوچھا، ”اَے عامُوسؔ، تُمہیں کیا دِکھائی دے رہاہے؟“ مَیں نے جَواب دیا، ”ایک ساہول،“ تَب خُداوؔند نے مُجھ سے فرمایا، ”دیکھو، مَیں اَپنی قوم بنی اِسرائیل میں ساہول لگاؤں گا اَور اَب مَیں اُن کو سزا دئیے بغیر نہ چھوڑوں گا۔BSBBSB: “Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD. “A plumb line,” I replied. “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:
9. 9URDOUCV”اِصحاقؔ کے اُونچے مقامات تباہ کئے جایٔیں گے اَور بنی اِسرائیل کے مُقدّس مقام ویران ہو جایٔیں گے؛ اَور مَیں تلوار لے کر بنی یرُبعامؔ پر حملہ کروں گا۔“BSBBSB: The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”
10. 10URDOUCVتَب بیت ایل کے کاہِنؔ اماضیاہؔ نے شاہِ اِسرائیل یرُبعامؔ کو خبر بھیجی: ”عامُوسؔ نبی بنی اِسرائیل کے دِل میں آپ کے خِلاف فتنہ کھڑا کر رہاہے۔ مُلک اُس کی سَب باتوں کو برداشت نہیں کر سَکتا۔BSBBSB: Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,
11. 11URDOUCVکیونکہ عامُوسؔ یُوں کہہ رہاہے، ” ’یرُبعامؔ تلوار سے ماراجائے گا، اَور بنی اِسرائیل یقیناً! اَپنے وطن سے دُور ہوکر اسیری میں چلا جائے گا۔‘ “BSBBSB: for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
12. 12URDOUCVتَب اماضیاہؔ نے عامُوسؔ سے کہا، ”اَے نبی یعنی غیب کی باتیں کہنے والے، یہاں سے دفع ہو جا، اَور مُلکِ یہُودیؔہ کو بھاگ جا، وہیں اَپنی روٹی کما اَور وہیں اَپنی نبُوّت کر۔BSBBSB: And Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah; earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
13. 13URDOUCVاَب بیت ایل میں اَور نبُوّت نہ کرنا کیونکہ یہ بادشاہ کا پاک مَقدِس اَور سلطنت کی عبادت گاہ ہے۔“BSBBSB: But never prophesy at Bethel again, because it is the sanctuary of the king and the temple of the kingdom.”
14. 14URDOUCVعامُوسؔ نبی نے اماضیاہؔ کو جَواب دیا، ”مَیں نہ نبی تھا اَور نہ نبی کا بیٹا ہُوں، مَیں تو ایک چرواہا اَور گُولر کے درختوں کی دیکھ بھال کرنے والا تھا۔BSBBSB: “I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.
15. 15URDOUCVلیکن یَاہوِہ نے مُجھے ریوڑ کی دیکھ بھال کرنے کے کام سے بُلاکر مُجھ سے فرمایا، ’جاؤ، میری قوم بنی اِسرائیل سے نبُوّت کرو۔‘BSBBSB: But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
16. 16URDOUCVاِس لئے اَب تُم یَاہوِہ کا کلام سُن، تُم کہتے ہو، ” ’بنی اِسرائیل کے خِلاف نبُوّت نہ کر، اَور بنی اِصحاقؔ کے خِلاف کلام کرنا بند کر۔‘BSBBSB: Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17. 17URDOUCV”اِس لیٔے یَاہوِہ یُوں فرماتے ہیں، ” ’تمہاری بیوی شہر میں فاحِشہ بَن جائے گی، اَور تمہارے بیٹے اَور بیٹیاں تلوار سے قتل کئے جایٔیں گے۔ تمہاری زمین ناپ کر تقسیم کی جائے گی، اَور تُم خُود ایک بُت پرست مُلک میں مروگے۔ اَور یقیناً بنی اِسرائیل اَپنے وطن سے دُور، جَلاوطنی میں چلا جائے گا۔‘ “BSBBSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
