1. 1URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر نے مُجھے پکے ہُوئے پھلوں کی ایک ٹوکری دِکھائی۔BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: I saw a basket of summer fruit.
2. 2URDOUCVاُنہُوں نے مُجھ سے پُوچھا، ”اَے عامُوسؔ، تُو کیا دیکھتا ہے؟“ مَیں نے جَواب دیا، ”پکے ہُوئے پھلوں کی ایک ٹوکری۔“ تَب یَاہوِہ نے مُجھ سے فرمایا، ”میری قوم بنی اِسرائیل کا وقت پُورا ہو گیا ہے؛ اَب مَیں اُنہیں نہیں چھوڑوں گا۔“BSBBSB: “Amos, what do you see?” He asked. “A basket of summer fruit,” I replied. So the LORD said to me, “The end has come for My people Israel; I will no longer spare them.”
3. 3URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر فرماتے ہیں، ”اُس دِن، بیت المُقدّس کے نغمے ماتم میں تبدیل ہو جایٔیں گے۔ ہر طرف بہت سِی لاشیں پڑی ہوں گی اَور خاموشی چھائی ہوگی!“BSBBSB: “In that day,” declares the Lord GOD, “the songs of the temple will turn to wailing. Many will be the corpses, strewn in silence everywhere!”
4. 4URDOUCVتُم جو ضروُرت مندوں کو کُچلتے رہتے ہو اَور مُلک کے مسکینوں کو مٹاتے رہتے ہو، یہ کلام سُنو۔BSBBSB: Hear this, you who trample the needy, who do away with the poor of the land,
5. 5URDOUCVتُم کہتے ہو، ”نئے چاند کی عید کب گزرے گی تاکہ ہم اَپنا اناج فروخت کریں، سَبت کا دِن کب ختم ہوگا تاکہ ہم گیہُوں کے فروخت کے واسطے اَپنے کھتّے کھولیں؟“ تُم ایفہ کو چھوٹا اَور ثاقل کو ناپ میں بڑا کرتے ہو، اَور دغابازی کے ترازو سے ٹھگتے ہو،BSBBSB: asking, “When will the New Moon be over, that we may sell grain? When will the Sabbath end, that we may market wheat? Let us reduce the ephah and increase the shekel; let us cheat with dishonest scales.
6. 6URDOUCVتُم مسکینوں کو رُوپیہ سے اَور حاجت مند کو ایک جوڑی جُوتے سے خریدتے ہو، اَور گیہُوں کے ساتھ پھٹکن بھی بیچتے ہو۔BSBBSB: Let us buy the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the chaff with the wheat!”
7. 7URDOUCVیَاہوِہ یعقوب کی حشمت کی قَسم کھا کر فرماتے ہیں، ”جو کچھ اُنہُوں نے کیا ہے، مَیں اُن میں سے ایک کو بھی نہ بھُولوں گا۔BSBBSB: The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: “I will never forget any of their deeds.
8. 8URDOUCV”کیا اِس سبب سے زمین نہ تھرتھرائے گی، اَور اُن کے ہر باشِندے ماتم نہ کریں گے؟ سارا مُلک دریائے نیل کی مانند ہوگا جو اُفنے گی، پھر اُس میں لہریں اُٹھے گا، اَور پھر وہ مُلک مِصر کے دریائے کی مانند بالکُل پُرسکون ہو جایٔےگا۔“BSBBSB: Will not the land quake for this, and all its dwellers mourn? All of it will swell like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.
9. 9URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر اعلان کرتے ہیں، ”اُس دِن، مَیں آفتاب کو دوپہر کے وقت غروب کروں گا اَور زمین پر دِن میں ہی تاریکی کر دُوں گا۔BSBBSB: And in that day, declares the Lord GOD, I will make the sun go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the daytime.
10. 10URDOUCVمَیں تمہاری عیدوں کو ماتم میں اَور تمہارے نغموں کو نوحے میں تبدیل کر دُوں گا۔ اَور تُم سَب کو ٹاٹ پہناؤں گا اَور تُم سَب کے سَر کو گنجا کر دُوں گا۔ اَور اَیسا ماتم برپا کروں گا جَیسے اِکلوتے بیٹے کی خاطِر ہوتاہے اَور اُس کا اَنجام روزِ تلخ جَیسا ہوگا۔“BSBBSB: I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation. I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, and its outcome like a bitter day.
11. 11URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر فرماتے ہیں، ”وہ دِن آ رہے ہیں، جَب مَیں اُس مُلک میں قحط نازل کروں گا، جو نہ روٹی کا نہ پانی کا، بَلکہ خُدا کے کلام کا قحط ہوگا۔BSBBSB: Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, when I will send a famine on the land—not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
12. 12URDOUCVلوگ یَاہوِہ کے کلام کی تلاش میں، سمُندر سے سمُندر تک اَور شمال سے مشرق تک بھٹکتے پھریں گے؛ لیکن کہیں نہ پائیں گے۔BSBBSB: People will stagger from sea to sea and roam from north to east, seeking the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
13. 13URDOUCV”اُس دِن ”حسین عورتیں اَور جَوان مَرد پیاس سے بے ہوش ہو جایٔیں گے۔BSBBSB: In that day the lovely young women—the young men as well—will faint from thirst.
14. 14URDOUCVجو لوگ سامریہؔ کے خطا کی قَسم کھا کر کہتے ہیں، ’دانؔ کے معبُود کے حیات کی قَسم،‘ یا ’بیرشبعؔ کے معبُود کے حیات کی قَسم،‘ وہ اَیسے گریں گے گویا پھر کبھی نہ اُٹھیں گے۔“BSBBSB: Those who swear by the guilt of Samaria and say, ‘As surely as your god lives, O Dan,’ or, ‘As surely as the way of Beersheba lives’—they will fall, never to rise again.”
