Luke 4 (URDOUCV)

1یِسوعؔ پاک رُوح سے بھرے ہویٔے یردنؔ سے لَوٹے اَور پاک رُوح کی ہدایت سے بیابان میں گیٔے۔Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2اَور چالیس دِن تک اِبلیس کے ذریعہ آزمائے جاتے رہے۔ اُن دِنوں میں آپ نے کُچھ نہ کھایا اَور جَب وہ دِن پُورے ہویٔے تو حُضُور کو بھُوک لگی۔where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.

3تَب اِبلیس نے اُن سے کہا، ”اگر آپ خُدا کے بیٹے ہیں تو اِس پتّھر سے کہیں کہ روٹی بَن جائے۔“The devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”

4یِسوعؔ نے جَواب دیا، ”لِکھّا ہے: ’اِنسان صِرف روٹی ہی سے زندہ نہیں رہتا۔‘ “But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”

5اَور اِبلیس نے اُنہیں ایک اُونچے مقام پر لے جا کر پل بھر میں دُنیا کی تمام سلطنتیں دِکھا دیں۔Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.

6اَور اِبلیس نے حُضُور سے کہا، ”میں یہ سارا اِختیار اَور شان و شوکت تُجھے عطا کر دُوں گا کیونکہ یہ میرے سُپرد کیٔے گیٔے ہیں اَور مَیں جسے چاہُوں دے سَکتا ہُوں۔“I will give You authority over all these kingdoms and all their glory,” he said. “For it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.

7لہٰذا اگر آپ میرے آگے سَجدہ کریں گے تو یہ سَب کُچھ آپ کا ہو جائے گا۔“So if You worship me, it will all be Yours.”

8یِسوعؔ نے جَواب میں اُس سے کہا، ”لِکھّا ہے: ’تُو اَپنے خُداوؔند خُدا ہی کو سَجدہ کر اَور صِرف اُسی کی خدمت کر۔‘ “But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”

9اَور پھر اِبلیس یِسوعؔ کو یروشلیمؔ میں لے گیا اَور بیت المُقدّس کے سَب سے اُونچے مقام پر کھڑا کرکے کہنے لگاکہ، ”اگر آپ خُدا کے بیٹے ہیں تو یہاں سے اَپنے آپ کو نیچے گرا دیں۔Then the devil led Him to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down from here.

10کیونکہ لِکھّا ہے: ” ’وہ اَپنے فرشتوں کو تمہارے متعلّق حُکم دے گا کہ وہ آپ کی خُوب حِفاظت کریں؛For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully,

11اَور وہ آپ کو اَپنے ہاتھوں پر اُٹھا لیں گے، تاکہ آپ کے پاؤں کو کسی پتّھر سے ٹھیس نہ لگنے پایٔے۔‘“and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”

12یِسوعؔ نے جَواب دیا، ”فرمایا گیا ہے: ’تُم خُداوؔند اَپنے خُدا کی آزمائش نہ کرو۔‘“But Jesus answered, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

13جَب اِبلیس اَپنی ہر آزمائش ختم کر چُکا تو کُچھ مُناسب عرصہ تک کے لیٔے یِسوعؔ کو چھوڑکر چلا گیا۔When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.

14پھر یِسوعؔ رُوح کی قُوّت سے معموُر، ہوکر صُوبہ گلِیل واپس ہویٔے اَور چاروں طرف کے سارے علاقہ میں آپ کی شہرت پھیل گئی۔Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.

15وہ اُن کے یہُودی عبادت گاہوں میں تعلیم دیتے اَور سَب لوگ حُضُور کی تعریف کرتے تھے۔He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by everyone.

16پھر حُضُور ناصرتؔ میں آئے جہاں آپ نے پرورِش پائی تھی اَور اَپنے دستور کے مُطابق سَبت کے دِن یہُودی عبادت گاہ میں گیٔے۔ وہ پڑھنے کے لیٔے کھڑے ہویٔےThen Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. And when He stood up to read,

17تو آپ کو یَشعیاہ نبی کا صحیفہ دیا گیا۔ حُضُور نے اُسے کھولا اَور وہ مقام نکالا جہاں یہ لِکھّا تھا:the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:

18”خُداوؔند کا رُوح مُجھ پر ہے، اُس نے مُجھے مَسح کیا ہے تاکہ میں غریبوں کو خُوشخبری سُناؤں۔ اُس نے مُجھے بھیجا ہے تاکہ میں قَیدیوں کے لیٔے رِہائی اَور اَندھوں کو بینائی کی خبر دُوں، کُچلے ہوؤں کو آزادی بخشوں۔“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed,

19اَور خُداوؔند کے سالِ مقبُول کا اعلان کروں۔“to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

20پھر یِسوعؔ نے صحیفہ بند کرکے خادِم کے حوالہ کر دیا اَور بیٹھ گیٔے۔ اَورجو لوگ یہُودی عبادت گاہ میں مَوجُود تھے، اُن سَب کی آنکھیں حُضُور پر لگی تھیں۔Then He rolled up the scroll, returned it to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him,

21اَور حُضُور اُن سے کہنے لگے، ”یہ نوشتہ جو تُمہیں سُنایا گیا، آج پُورا ہو گیا۔“and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

22اَور سَب نے آپ کی تعریف کی اَور اُن پُرفضل باتوں پرجو حُضُور کے مُنہ سے نکلتی تھیں تعجُّب کرکے کہتے تھے، ”کیا یہ یُوسیفؔ کا بیٹا نہیں؟“All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.

23یِسوعؔ نے اُن سے کہا، ”تُم ضروُر یہ مثال مُجھ پر کہو گے: کہ اَے حکیِم، ’اَپنا تو علاج کر! جو باتیں ہم نے کَفرنحُومؔ میں ہوتے سُنی ہیں اُنہیں یہاں اَپنے آبائی شہر میں بھی کر۔‘ “Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.’”

24اَور یِسوعؔ نے اُن سے کہا، ”میں تُم سے سچ سچ کہتا ہُوں کہ کویٔی نبی اَپنے آبائی شہر میں مقبُول نہیں ہوتا۔Then He added, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.

25یہ حقیقت ہے کہ ایلیّاہ کے زمانہ میں بہت سِی بیوائیں اِسرائیلؔ میں تھیں، جَب ساڑھے تین بَرس تک بارش نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے تمام مُلک میں سخت قحط پڑا تھا۔But I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.

26تو بھی ایلیّاہ اُن میں سے کسی کے پاس نہیں بَلکہ صیؔدا کے ایک شہر صارفت کی ایک بِیوہ کے پاس بھیجا گیا تھا۔Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to the widow of Zarephath in Sidon.

27اَور الِیشعؔ نبی کے زمانہ میں اِسرائیلؔ میں بہت سے کوڑھی تھے لیکن سِوائے نَعمانؔ کے جو سِیریؔا کا باشِندہ تھا اُن میں سے کویٔی پاک صَاف نہ کیا گیا۔“And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”

28جو لوگ یہُودی عبادت گاہ میں مَوجُود تھے، اِن باتوں کو سُنتے ہی غُصّہ سے بھر گیٔے۔On hearing this, all the people in the synagogue were enraged.

29وہ اُٹھے اَور اُنہُوں نے یِسوعؔ کو شہر سے باہر نکال دیا اَور پھر آپ کو اُس پہاڑی کی چوٹی پر لے گیٔے جِس پر اُن کا شہر آباد تھا تاکہ یِسوعؔ کو وہاں سے نیچے گرا دیں۔They got up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the cliff.

30لیکن یِسوعؔ اُن کے درمیان سے نکل کر چلے گیٔے۔But Jesus passed through the crowd and went on His way.

31پھر یِسوعؔ گلِیل کے ایک شہر کَفرنحُومؔ کو چلے گیٔے جہاں وہ سَبت کے دِن تعلیم دیتے تھے۔Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.

32اَور لوگ یِسوعؔ کی تعلیم سُن کر دنگ رہ گیٔے کیونکہ حُضُور صاحبِ اِختیار کی طرح تعلیم دے رہے تھے۔They were astonished at His teaching, because His message had authority.

33یہُودی عبادت گاہ میں ایک شخص تھا جِس میں بدرُوح تھی۔ وہ بڑی اُونچی آواز سے چِلّانے لگا،In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,

34”اَے یِسوعؔ ناصری، یہاں سے چلے جایٔیں! آپ کو ہم سے کیا کام؟ کیا آپ ہمیں ہلاک کرنے آئے ہیں؟ میں جانتا ہُوں کہ آپ کون ہیں؟ آپ ہی خُدا کے قُدُّوس ہیں!““Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

35”خاموش ہو جا!“ یِسوعؔ نے بدرُوح کو جِھڑکا اَور کہا، اَور اِس آدمی میں سے ”نکل جا!“ اِس پر بدرُوح نے اُس آدمی کو اُن کے درمیان زمین پر پٹکا اَور اُسے ضرر پہُنچائے بغیر اُس میں سے نکل گئی۔But Jesus rebuked the demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!” At this, the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without harming him.

36سَب لوگ حیرت زدہ ہوکر ایک دُوسرے سے کہنے لگے کہ، ”یہ کیسا کلام ہے؟ وہ اِختیار اَور قُدرت کے ساتھ بدرُوحوں کو حُکم دیتاہے اَور وہ نکل جاتی ہیں!“All the people were overcome with amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

37اَور آس پاس کے ہر علاقہ میں حُضُور کی شہرت بڑی تیزی پھیل گئی۔And the news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding region.

38یہُودی عبادت گاہ سے نکل کر یِسوعؔ شمعُونؔ کے گھر پہُنچے۔ شمعُونؔ کی ساس تیز بُخار میں مُبتلا تھی۔ شاگردوں نے یِسوعؔ سے اُسے ٹھیک کرنے کی درخواست کی۔After Jesus had left the synagogue, He went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. So they appealed to Jesus on her behalf,

39اَور یِسوعؔ نے اُس کی طرف جُھک کر بُخار کو جِھڑکا اَور وہ اُتر گیا۔ وہ فوراً اُٹھی اَور اُن کی خدمت میں لگ گئی۔and He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And she got up at once and began to serve them.

40سُورج ڈُوبتے ہی لوگ گھروں سے مُختلف بیماریوں والے مَریضوں کو یِسوعؔ کے پاس لائے اَور آپ نے ایک ایک پر ہاتھ رکھے اَور اُنہیں شفا بخشی۔At sunset, all who were ill with various diseases were brought to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them.

41اَور بدرُوحیں بھی چِلّاتی ہُوئی، اَور یہ کہتی ہُوئی کہ، ”تُو خُدا کا بیٹا ہے!“ کیٔی لوگوں میں سے نکل جاتی تھیں چونکہ اُنہیں مَعلُوم تھا کہ، وہ المسیح ہیں۔ یِسوعؔ اُنہیں جھڑکتے تھے اَور بولنے نہ دیتے تھے۔Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.

42صُبح ہوتے ہی یِسوعؔ نکل کر کسی ویران جگہ چلے جاتے تھے۔ لوگ ہُجوم در ہُجوم آپ کو ڈھونڈتے ہُوئے آپ کے پاس آ جاتے تھے اَور آپ کو روکنے کی کوشش کرتے تھے کہ ہمارے پاس سے نہ جایٔیں۔At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place, and the crowds were looking for Him. They came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving.

43لیکن یِسوعؔ نے اُن سے کہا، ”مُجھے دُوسرے شہروں میں بھی خُدا کی بادشاہی کی خُوشخبری سُنانا ضروُری ہے کیونکہ مَیں اِسی مقصد سے بھیجا گیا ہُوں۔“But Jesus told them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well, because that is why I was sent.”

44اَور یِسوعؔ یہُودیؔہ صُوبہ کے یہُودی عبادت گاہوں میں مُنادی کرتے رہے۔And He continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.
