Mark 4 (URDOUCV)

1یِسوعؔ پھر جھیل کے کنارے تعلیم دینے لگے اَور لوگوں کا اَیسا ہُجوم جمع ہو گیا۔ یِسوعؔ جھیل کے کنارے کشتی میں جا بیٹھے، اَور سارا ہُجوم خُشکی پر جھیل کے کنارے پر ہی کھڑا رہا۔Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore.

2تَب وہ اُنہیں تمثیلوں کے ذریعہ بہت سِی باتیں سِکھانے لگے، اَور اَپنی تعلیم دیتے ہویٔے آپ نے فرمایا:And He taught them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said,

3”سُنو! ایک بیج بونے والا بیج بونے نِکلا۔“Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.

4بوتے وقت کُچھ بیج، راہ کے کنارے، گِرے اَور پرندوں نے آکر اُنہیں چُگ لیا۔And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

5کُچھ پتھریلی زمین پر گِرے جہاں مٹّی کم تھی۔ چونکہ مٹّی گہری نہ تھی، وہ جلد ہی اُگ آئے۔Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.

6لیکن جَب سُورج نِکلا، تو جَل گیٔے اَور جڑ نہ پکڑنے کے باعث سُوکھ گیٔے۔But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

7کُچھ بیج کانٹے دار جھاڑیوں میں گِرے، اَور جھاڑیوں نے اُنہیں دبا لیا۔Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings, and they yielded no crop.

8مگر کُچھ بیج اَچھّی زمین پر گِرے۔ اَور اُگ کر بڑھے اَور بڑھ کر پھل لایٔے، کویٔی تیس گُنا، کویٔی ساٹھ گُنا، اَور کویٔی سَو گُنا۔“Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop—one bearing thirtyfold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold.”

9یِسوعؔ نے کہا، ”جِس کے پاس سُننے کے کان ہوں وہ سُن لے۔“Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

10جَب وہ تنہائی میں تھے، یِسوعؔ کے بَارہ شاگردوں اَور دُوسرے ساتھیوں نے آپ سے اِن تمثیلوں کے بارے میں پُوچھا۔As soon as Jesus was alone with the Twelve and those around Him, they asked Him about the parable.

11آپ نے اُن سے فرمایا، ”تُمہیں تو خُدا کی بادشاہی کے رازوں کو سمجھنے کی قابلیّت دی گئی ہے۔ لیکن باہر والوں کے لیٔے ساری باتیں تمثیلوں میں بَیان کی جاتی ہیں،He replied, “The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is expressed in parables,

12لہٰذا، ” ’وہ دیکھتے ہویٔے بھی، کُچھ نہیں دیکھتے؛ اَور سُنتے ہُوئے بھی کبھی کُچھ نہیں سمجھتے؛ اَیسا نہ ہو کہ وہ تَوبہ کریں اَور گُناہوں کی مُعافی حاصل کر لیں!‘“so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.’”

13پھر یِسوعؔ نے اُن سے کہا، ”اگر تُم یہ تمثیل نہیں سمجھے تو باقی سَب تمثیلیں؟ کیسے سمجھوگے؟Then Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables?

14بونے والا خُدا کے کلام کا بیج بوتا ہے۔The farmer sows the word.

15کُچھ لوگ جنہیں کلام سُنایا جاتا ہے راہ کے کنارے والے ہیں۔ جُوں ہی کلام کا بیج بویا جاتا ہے، شیطان آتا ہے اَور اُن کے دِلوں سے وہ کلام نکال لے جاتا ہے۔Some are like the seeds along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

16اِسی طرح، وہ لوگ پتھریلی جگہوں پر بوئے ہویٔے بیجوں کی طرح ہیں، وہ خُدا کے کلام کو سُنتے ہی خُوشی کے ساتھ سے قبُول کرلیتے ہیں۔Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy.

17مگر وہ کلام اُن میں جڑ نہیں پکڑ پاتا، چنانچہ وہ کُچھ دِنوں تک ہی قائِم رہتے ہیں۔ اَور جَب اُن پر اِس کلام کی وجہ سے مُصیبت یااِیذا برپا ہوتی ہے تو وہ فوراً گِر جاتے ہیں۔But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

18اَور دیگر، جھاڑیوں میں گِرنے والے بیج سے مُراد وہ لوگ ہیں، جو کلام کو سُنتے تو ہیں؛Others are like the seeds sown among the thorns. They hear the word,

19لیکن اِس دُنیا کی فکریں، دولت کا فریب اَور دُوسری چیزوں کا لالچ آڑے آکر اِس کلام کو دبا دیتاہے، اَور وہ بے نتیجہ ہو جاتا ہے۔but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

20جو لوگ، اُس اَچھّی زمین کی طرح ہیں جہاں بیج بویا جاتا ہے، وہ کلام کو سُنتے ہیں، قبُول کرتے ہیں، اَور پھل لاتے ہیں، بعض تیس گُنا، بعض ساٹھ گُنا، اَور بعض سَو گُنا۔“Still others are like the seeds sown on good soil. They hear the word, receive it, and produce a crop—thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or a hundredfold.”

21یِسوعؔ نے اُن سے کہا، ”کیا تُم چراغ کو اِس لیٔے جَلاتے ہو کہ اُسے ٹوکرے یا چارپائی کے نیچے رکھا جائے؟ کیا اِس لیٔے نہیں جَلاتے کہ اُسے چراغدان پر رکھا جائے؟Jesus also said to them, “Does anyone bring in a lamp to put it under a basket or under a bed? Doesn’t he set it on a stand?

22کیونکہ اگر کویٔی چیز چھپی ہویٔی ہے، تو اِس لیٔے کہ ظاہر کی جائے اَورجو کچھ ڈھکا ہُواہے تو اِس لیٔے کہ اُس کا پردہ فاش کیا جائے گا۔For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light.

23جِس کے پاس سُننے کے کان ہوں، وہ سُن لے۔“If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

24پھر آپ نے اُن سے فرمایا، ”تُم کیا سُنتے ہو اُس کے بارے میں غور کرو، جِس پیمانہ سے تُم ناپتے ہو، تُمہیں بھی اُسی ناپ سے ناپا جائے گا بَلکہ کُچھ زِیادہ ہی۔He went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you.

25کیونکہ جِس کے پاس ہے اُسے اَور بھی دیا جائے گا اَور اُس کے پاس اِفراط سے ہوگا لیکن جِس کے پاس نہیں ہے، اُس سے وہ بھی جو اُس کے پاس ہے، لے لیا جائے گا۔“For whoever has will be given more. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

26آپ نے یہ بھی فرمایا، ”خُدا کی بادشاہی اُس آدمی کی مانِند ہے جو زمین میں بیج ڈالتا ہے۔Jesus also said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground.

27رات اَور دِن چاہے، وہ سوئے یا جاگتا رہے، بیج اُگ کر آہستہ آہستہ بڑھتے رہتے ہیں اَور سے مَعلُوم بھی نہیں پڑتا، وہ کیسے اُگتے اَور بڑھتے ہیں۔Night and day he sleeps and wakes, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he knows not how.

28زمین خُود بخُود پھل لاتی ہے پہلے پتّی نکلتی ہے، پھر بالیں پیدا ہوتی ہیں اَور پھر اُن میں دانے بھر جاتے ہیں۔All by itself the earth produces a crop—first the stalk, then the head, then grain that ripens within.

29جِس وقت اناج پک چُکا ہوتاہے، تو وہ فوراً درانتی لے آتا ہے کیونکہ فصل کاٹنے کا وقت آ پہُنچا۔“And as soon as the grain is ripe, he swings the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

30پھر آپ نے فرمایا، ”ہم خُدا کی بادشاہی کو کِس چیز کی مانِند کہیں، یا کِس تمثیل کے ذریعہ سے بَیان کریں؟Then He asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God? With what parable shall we present it?

31وہ رائی کے دانے کی طرح ہے، جو زمین میں بوئے جانے والے بیجوں میں سَب سے چھوٹا ہوتاہے۔It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds sown upon the earth.

32مگر بوئے جانے کے بعد اُگتا ہے، تو پَودوں میں سَب سے بڑا ہو جاتا ہے، اَور اُس کی شاخیں، اِس قدر بڑھ جاتی ہیں کہ ہَوا کے پرندے اُس کے سایہ میں بسیرا کر سکتے ہیں۔“But after it is planted, it grows to be the largest of all garden plants and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air nest in its shade.”

33اِسی قِسم کی کیٔی تمثیلوں، کے ذریعہ آپ لوگوں سے اُن کی سمجھ کے مُطابق کلام کیا کرتے تھے۔With many such parables Jesus spoke the word to them, to the extent that they could understand.

34اَور بغیر تمثیل کے آپ اُنہیں کُچھ نہ کہتے تھے، لیکن جَب یِسوعؔ کے شاگرد تنہا ہوتے، تو وہ اُنہیں تمثیلوں کے معنی سمجھا دیا کرتے تھے۔He did not tell them anything without using a parable. But privately He explained everything to His own disciples.

35اُسی دِن جَب شام ہویٔی، آپ نے اَپنے شاگردوں سے فرمایا، ”جھیل کے اُس پار چلیں۔“When that evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side.”

36چنانچہ وہ ہُجوم کو رخصت کرکے، اَور آپ کو جِس حال میں وہ تھے، کشتی میں اَپنے ساتھ لے کر، روانہ ہویٔے۔ کُچھ اَور کشتیاں بھی اُن کے ساتھ تھیں۔After they had dismissed the crowd, they took Jesus with them, since He was already in the boat. And there were other boats with Him.

37اَچانک آندھی آئی، اَور پانی کی لہریں کشتی سے بُری طرح ٹکرانے لگیں، اَور اُس میں پانی بھرنے لگا۔Soon a violent windstorm came up, and the waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was being swamped.

38یِسوعؔ کشتی کے پچھلے حِصّہ میں ایک تکیہ لگا کر آرام فرما رہے تھے۔ شاگردوں نے آپ کو جگایا اَور کہا، ”اُستاد محترم، ہم تو ڈُوبے جا رہے ہیں۔ آپ کو ہماری کویٔی پروا نہیں ہے؟“But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him and said, “Teacher, don’t You care that we are perishing?”

39وہ جاگ اُٹھے، یِسوعؔ نے ہَوا کو حُکم دیا اَور لہروں کو ڈانٹا، ”خاموش رہ! تھم جا!“ ہَوا تھم گئی اَور بڑا اَمن ہو گیا۔Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.

40یِسوعؔ نے شاگردوں سے کہا، ”تُم اِس قدر خوفزدہ کیوں رہتے ہو؟ ایمان کیوں نہیں رکھتے؟““Why are you so afraid?” He asked. “Do you still have no faith?”

41مگر وہ حَد سے زِیادہ ڈر گیٔے اَور ایک دُوسرے سے کہنے لگے، ”یہ کون ہے کہ ہَوا اَور لہریں بھی اِن کا حُکم مانتے ہیں!“Overwhelmed with fear, they asked one another, “Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
