1. 1URDOUCVاَے نینوہؔ، ایک حملہ آور تُجھ پر چڑھ آیا ہے، اَپنے قلعہ کو محفوظ رکھ، راہ کی نگہبانی کر، کمر کس لے، اَور اَپنی ساری طاقت کو جمع کر۔BSBBSB: One who scatters advances against you, O Nineveh. Guard the fortress! Watch the road! Brace yourselves! Summon all your strength!
2. 2URDOUCVیَاہوِہ یعقوب کی ساری شان و شوکت کو، اِسرائیل کی شان کی مانند بحال کرےگا، اگرچہ غارت کرنے والوں نے اُنہیں غارت کر دیا ہے اَور اُن کے تاک کی شاخوں کو اُجاڑ دیا ہے۔BSBBSB: For the LORD will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, though destroyers have laid them waste and ruined the branches of their vine.
3. 3URDOUCVتیّاری کے دِن اُس کے جنگی بہادروں کی ڈھالیں سُرخ ہیں؛ جنگی مَرد قِرمزی لباس پہنے ہیں۔ تیّاری کے دِن اُن کے رتھوں کی فولاد چمچماتی ہے؛ صنوبر کے نیزے لہرا رہے ہیں۔BSBBSB: The shields of his mighty men are red; the valiant warriors are dressed in scarlet. The fittings of the chariots flash like fire on the day they are prepared, and the spears of cypress have been brandished.
4. 4URDOUCVراستوں پر رتھ تیزی سے دَوڑ رہے ہیں، وہ چَوک کے میدان میں اِدھر سے اُدھر دَوڑ رہے ہیں۔ وہ مشعلوں کی مانند دِکھائی دیتے ہیں؛ وہ بجلی کی مانند کوند رہے ہیں۔BSBBSB: The chariots dash through the streets; they rush around the plazas, appearing like torches, darting about like lightning.
5. 5URDOUCVوہ اَپنے مُنتخب فَوجیوں کو بُلاتا ہے، پر وہ اَپنے راستوں پر ٹھوکر کھاتے ہیں۔ اَور شہرپناہ سے ٹکراتے ہیں؛ حِفاظت کرنے والی آڑ اَپنی جگہ پر رکھ دی گئی ہے۔BSBBSB: He summons his nobles; they stumble as they advance. They race to its wall; the protective shield is set in place.
6. 6URDOUCVدریاؤں کے پھاٹک کھُل جاتے ہیں، اَور محل ڈھیر ہوکر رہ جاتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: The river gates are thrown open and the palace collapses.
7. 7URDOUCVیہ طے ہو چُکاہے کہ شہر والے، جَلاوطنی میں لے جائے جایٔیں۔ اُن کی لونڈیاں قُمریوں کی طرح ماتم کریں، اَور چھاتِیاں پیٹیں۔BSBBSB: It is decreed that the city be exiled and carried away; her maidservants moan like doves, and beat upon their breasts.
8. 8URDOUCVنینوہؔ ایک حوض کی مانند ہے، اُس کا پانی نکالا جا رہاہے۔ لوگ چِلاّتے ہیں، ”ٹھہرو، ٹھہرو،“ پر کویٔی مُڑ کر نہیں دیکھتا۔BSBBSB: Nineveh has been like a pool of water throughout her days, but now it is draining away. “Stop! Stop!” they cry, but no one turns back.
9. 9URDOUCVچاندی لُوٹو! سونا لُوٹو! مال کی کویٔی اِنتہا نہیں، خزانوں میں دولت کثرت سے ہے!BSBBSB: “Plunder the silver! Plunder the gold!” There is no end to the treasure, an abundance of every precious thing.
10. 10URDOUCVوہ خالی ہے، لُوٹ لیا گیا ہے، ویران ہے! دِل پگھل جاتے ہیں، گھُٹنے لڑکھڑاتے ہیں، جِسم کانپتے ہیں، ہر چہرہ زرد ہو جاتا ہے۔BSBBSB: She is emptied! Yes, she is desolate and laid waste! Hearts melt, knees knock, bodies tremble, and every face grows pale!
11. 11URDOUCVاَب شیر کی ماند کہاں ہے، وہ جگہ جہاں وہ اَپنے بچّوں کو خُوراک کھِلاتے تھے، شیر، شیرنی اَور اُن کے بچّے کہاں گیٔے، جہاں وہ بے خوف پھرا کرتے تھے؟BSBBSB: Where is the lions’ lair or the feeding ground of the young lions, where the lion and lioness prowled with their cubs, with nothing to frighten them away?
12. 12URDOUCVشیرببر اَپنے بچّوں کے لیٔے بہت شِکار مارتا تھا، اَور اَپنی شیرنی کے لیٔے شِکار کا گلا گھونٹتا تھا، اَور اَپنی ماندوں کو شِکار سے، اَور غاروں کو پھاڑے ہوئے جانوروں سے بھر دیتا تھا۔BSBBSB: The lion mauled enough for its cubs and strangled prey for the lioness. It filled its dens with the kill, and its lairs with mauled prey.
13. 13URDOUCVقادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ فرماتے ہیں، ”مَیں تیرا مُخالف ہُوں، مَیں تمہارے رتھوں کو دُھواں بنا دُوں گا، اَور تلوار تمہارے جَوان شیروں کو نگل جائے گی۔ میں زمین پر تمہارے لیٔے کویٔی شِکار نہیں چھوڑوں گا۔ تمہارے قاصِدوں کی آوازیں، پھر کبھی سُنایٔی نہ دیں گی۔“BSBBSB: “Behold, I am against you,” declares the LORD of Hosts. “I will reduce your chariots to cinders, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
