1. 1URDOUCVخُونی شہر پر افسوس، وہ جھُوٹ اَور غارت گری سے بھرا ہُواہے وہ کبھی جُرم سے باز نہیں رہتا!BSBBSB: Woe to the city of blood, full of lies, full of plunder, never without prey.
2. 2URDOUCVچابک کے چٹخنے کی آواز، پہیّوں کی کھڑکھڑاہٹ، گھوڑوں کی ٹاپ، اَور رتھوں کے ہچکولوں کی آواز!BSBBSB: The crack of the whip, the rumble of the wheel, galloping horse and bounding chariot!
3. 3URDOUCVحملہ آور لشکر، تلواروں کی چمک، اَور بھالوں کی جھلک! مقتولوں کے ڈھیر، لاشوں کے انبار، بے شُمار لاشیں، جِن سے لوگ ٹھوکریں کھاتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: Charging horseman, flashing sword, shining spear; heaps of slain, mounds of corpses, dead bodies without end—they stumble over their dead—
4. 4URDOUCVیہ سَب اُس کسبی اَور فاحِشہ کی بدکاری کے سبب سے ہے، جِس نے فاحِشہ پن سے قوموں کو، اَور جادُو سے لوگوں کو غُلام بنا لیا ہے۔BSBBSB: because of the many harlotries of the harlot, the seductive mistress of sorcery, who betrays nations by her prostitution and clans by her witchcraft.
5. 5URDOUCVقادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ فرماتے ہیں کہ مَیں تیرا مُخالف ہُوں۔ مَیں تُجھے تمہارے مُنہ تک ننگا کروں گا۔ اَور قوموں کو تیرا ننگا پن دِکھاؤں گا، اَور مملکتوں کو تمہاری برہنگی دِکھاؤں گا۔BSBBSB: “Behold, I am against you,” declares the LORD of Hosts. “I will lift your skirts over your face. I will show your nakedness to the nations and your shame to the kingdoms.
6. 6URDOUCVمَیں تمہارے اُوپر گندگی ڈالُوں گا، میں نفرت کا سلُوک کروں گا تُجھے رُسوا کروں گا۔BSBBSB: I will pelt you with filth and treat you with contempt; I will make a spectacle of you.
7. 7URDOUCVجو کویٔی تُجھ پر نظر کرےگا بھاگ جائے گا، اَور کہے گا نینوہؔ برباد ہو رہاہے، کون اُس کے لیٔے ماتم کرےگا؟ مَیں تمہارے لیٔے تسلّی دینے والا کہاں سے لاؤں؟BSBBSB: Then all who see you will recoil from you and say, ‘Nineveh is devastated; who will grieve for her?’ Where can I find comforters for you?”
8. 8URDOUCVکیا تُو تھیبیس سے بڑھ کر ہے، جو دریائے نیل پر بسا ہُواہے، اَور اُس کے چاروں طرف پانی ہے؟ ندی اُس کی مُحافظ تھی، اَور پانی اُس کی دیوار تھا۔BSBBSB: Are you better than Thebes, stationed by the Nile with water around her, whose rampart was the sea, whose wall was the water?
9. 9URDOUCVکُوشؔ اَور مِصر اُس کی بے اِنتہا طاقت تھے؛ فُوطؔ اَور لیبیا اُس کے حمایتی تھے۔BSBBSB: Cush and Egypt were her boundless strength; Put and Libya were her allies.
10. 10URDOUCVتو بھی وہ اسیر ہُوا اَور جَلاوطنی میں گیا۔ ہر گلی کے نکّڑ پر اُس کے دُودھ پیتے بچّے پٹک کر ٹکڑے کر دئیے گیٔے۔ اُس کے مُعزّز لوگوں پر قُرعہ ڈالے گیٔے، اَور اُس کے سارے بُزرگ زنجیروں میں جکڑ دئیے گیٔے۔BSBBSB: Yet she became an exile; she went into captivity. Her infants were dashed to pieces at the head of every street. They cast lots for her dignitaries, and all her nobles were bound in chains.
11. 11URDOUCVتُو بھی متوالا ہو جائے گا؛ تُو دُشمن سے بچنے کے لیٔے پناہ مانگے گا اَور خُود کو چُھپائے گا۔BSBBSB: You too will become drunk; you will go into hiding and seek refuge from the enemy.
12. 12URDOUCVتمہارے سارے قلعے اَنجیر کے درختوں کی مانند ہوں گے جِن پر پہلی فصل کے پکے پھل لگے ہُوں؛ جَب اُن کو ہلایا جاتا ہے، تو کھانے والے کے مُنہ میں پھل گرتا ہے۔BSBBSB: All your fortresses are fig trees with the first ripe figs; when shaken, they fall into the mouth of the eater!
13. 13URDOUCVاَپنے جنگی بہادروں کو دیکھ۔ تمہارے مَرد عورتیں بَن گیٔے ہیں! تمہارے مُلک کے پھاٹک تمہارے دُشمنوں کے لیٔے کھُل گیٔے ہیں؛ آگ اڑبنگوں کو کھا گئی۔BSBBSB: Look at your troops—they are like your women! The gates of your land are wide open to your enemies; fire consumes their bars.
14. 14URDOUCVمحاصرے کے لیٔے پانی بھر لے، اَپنے قلعوں کو مضبُوط کر! مٹّی تیّار کر، روند کر مَسالہ بنا، اینٹ کے سانچے کی مرمّت کر!BSBBSB: Draw your water for the siege; strengthen your fortresses. Work the clay and tread the mortar; repair the brick kiln!
15. 15URDOUCVوہاں آگ تُجھے کھا جائے گی؛ تلوار تُجھے کاٹ ڈالے گی اَور ٹِڈّی کی طرح تُجھے کھا جائے گی۔ ٹِڈّیوں کی طرح اَپنا شُمار بڑھا!BSBBSB: There the fire will devour you; the sword will cut you down and consume you like a young locust. Make yourself many like the young locust; make yourself many like the swarming locust!
16. 16URDOUCVتُم نے اَپنے سوداگروں کو آسمان کے سِتاروں سے زِیادہ بڑھا لیا ہے، لیکن وہ ٹِڈّیوں کی طرح چٹ کرکے اُڑ جاتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: You have multiplied your merchants more than the stars of the sky. The young locust strips the land and flies away.
17. 17URDOUCVتمہارے مُحافظ ٹِڈّیوں کے غول کی مانند ہیں، تمہارے سردار ٹِڈّیوں کے غول کی طرح ہیں جِس کی ٹِڈّیاں سردی کے دِن دیوار کے شگافوں میں پناہ لیتی ہیں۔ لیکن سُورج نکلتے ہی اُڑ جاتی ہیں، کویٔی نہیں جانتا کہاں۔BSBBSB: Your guards are like the swarming locust, and your scribes like clouds of locusts that settle on the walls on a cold day. When the sun rises, they fly away, and no one knows where.
18. 18URDOUCVاَے اشُور کے بادشاہ، تمہارے چرواہے اُونگھتے ہیں؛ تمہارے سردار آرام سے سَو رہے ہیں۔ تمہاری رعایا پہاڑوں پر مُنتشر ہو گئی اُنہیں جمع کرنے والا کویٔی نہیں۔BSBBSB: O king of Assyria, your shepherds slumber; your officers sleep. Your people are scattered on the mountains with no one to gather them.
19. 19URDOUCVکویٔی چیز تمہارے زخموں کو شفا نہیں دے سکتی؛ تیرا زخم لاعلاج ہے۔ جو کویٔی تمہارے بارے میں سُنتا ہے وہ تمہاری بربادی پر خُوش ہوکر تالی بجاتا ہے، کیونکہ کون ہے جِس نے تیرا ظُلم نہیں سہا؟BSBBSB: There is no healing for your injury; your wound is severe. All who hear the news of you applaud your downfall, for who has not experienced your constant cruelty?
