Laws for Grain Offerings (Leviticus 6:14–23)
WBS And when any will offer a meat-offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense upon it. BSB BSB: “When anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put frankincense on it,
WBS And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take out of it his handful of its flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD: BSB BSB: and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the frankincense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
WBS And the remnant of the meat-offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. BSB BSB: The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings to the LORD.
WBS And if thou shalt bring an oblation of a meat-offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. BSB BSB: Now if you bring an offering of grain baked in an oven, it must consist of fine flour, either unleavened cakes mixed with oil or unleavened wafers coated with oil.
WBS And if thy oblation shall be a meat-offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil. BSB BSB: If your offering is a grain offering prepared on a griddle, it must be unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed with oil.
WBS Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil upon it: it is a meat-offering. BSB BSB: Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.
WBS And if thy oblation shall be a meat-offering baked in the frying-pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil. BSB BSB: If your offering is a grain offering cooked in a pan, it must consist of fine flour with oil.
WBS And thou shalt bring the meat-offering that is made of these things to the LORD: and when it is presented to the priest, he shall bring it to the altar. BSB BSB: When you bring to the LORD the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he shall take it to the altar.
WBS And the priest shall take from the meat-offering a memorial of it, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD. BSB BSB: The priest is to remove the memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as a food offering, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
WBS And that which is left of the meat-offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy, of the offerings of the LORD made by fire. BSB BSB: But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings to the LORD.
WBS No meat-offering which ye shall bring to the LORD shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire. BSB BSB: No grain offering that you present to the LORD may be made with leaven, for you are not to burn any leaven or honey as a food offering to the LORD.
WBS As for the oblation of the first-fruits, ye shall offer them to the LORD: but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savor. BSB BSB: You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of firstfruits, but they must not go up on the altar as a pleasing aroma.
WBS And every oblation of thy meat-offering shalt thou season with salt: neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat-offering: with all thy offerings thou shalt offer salt. BSB BSB: And you shall season each of your grain offerings with salt. You must not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering; you are to add salt to each of your offerings.
WBS And if thou shalt offer a meat-offering of thy first-fruits to the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat-offering of thy first-fruits, green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears. BSB BSB: If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, you shall offer crushed heads of new grain roasted on the fire.
WBS And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense upon it: it is a meat-offering. BSB BSB: And you are to put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.
WBS And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of its beaten corn, and part of its oil, with all its frankincense: it is an offering made by fire to the LORD. BSB BSB: The priest shall then burn the memorial portion of the crushed grain and the oil, together with all its frankincense, as a food offering to the LORD.
