1Yesu wáyandika hika mu kulonga kuna khungu ya yanga dya mbuta. Mulumba-lumba wa batu balawu wámuzyeta yandi. Hanga wuzanzi mu masuwa wuzakadini mwamuna. Mulumba-lumba wa batu wosu ku tseki, bela-bela yi yanga dya mbuta.Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore.

2Kakala balonga mambu ma lawu mu bingana amana wekina bazimbwala muna malongi mandi:And He taught them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said,

3«Hinikinenu! Mukuni wálubuka mu kwenda mwanga mbutu.“Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.

4Buna kakala mwanga kheni, ndambu yahika yenda bwila mu nzila: banuni bisiya dya.And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

5Ndambu ya hika yenda bwila muma mwa matadi, muna mwakonda kala mafu ma lawu. Hanga yibufudi tswatsu, kikuma mafu mákalaku lawu;Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.

6kaasi ha kwátwa mwini, yáyokama amana yáyumuka mukuma yákalaku yi misodi.But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.

7Yahika yenda bwila ha kati kya tsaku. Tsaku záleya amana zákakidisaya, amana konda kuha keti kheni.Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings, and they yielded no crop.

8Kaasi kheni yikwawu yábwila mu mafu ma bukheti; yámena, yákola phi, ku tsuka yihe kheni: yimosi yálubula makumatatu, yikwawu makumasambanu, yikwawu hika khama.»Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop—one bearing thirtyfold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold.”

9Amana kakala zimbula: «Wuna wenina yi matu ma kuyukila, kayuka!»Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

13Yesu wubazimbwadi hika: «Lubatiku bakula kingana kyaki? Amana abweti lwalenda bakula bingana byosu?Then Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables?

14Mukuni kabati mwanga Ndinga ya Nzambi.The farmer sows the word.

15Bana benina mu kati kya nzila, mwena bawu yámwanganina Ndinga, kaasi muna kuyukilaya phi Satana wisi katula Ndinga meni yina bámwangiki mwena bawu.Some are like the seeds along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

16Amana kwena yina bámwanga muna muma mwa matadi, yi batu babana, buna bisi yuka Ndinga, batambwasiya yi kyesi,Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy.

17kaasi beku yi misodi mwena bawu meni, bisi zyama lwesi mu tangwa dimosi; amana yukani kiwayi kondilo munyanga wisa kikuma kya Ndinga ya Nzambi, kyekina kisinza kikuma kya bawu.But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

18Yikwawu yina yábwila ha kati kya tsaku; benina babana bisi yuka Ndinga,Others are like the seeds sown among the thorns. They hear the word,

19kaasi phasi za tsi, byesi bya bimvwama bya luvunu yi mabanza mahika ma mutindu yi mutindu bisiya kakidikisa Ndinga, amana yihesiku.but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

20Kaasi yahika yina yámwangana mu mafu ma bukheti; benina babana bisi yuka Ndinga ya Nzambi, batambudiya amana yibuti kheni; yimosi makumatatu, yikwawu makumasambanu, yikwawu khama.»Still others are like the seeds sown on good soil. They hear the word, receive it, and produce a crop—thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or a hundredfold.”

21Yesu wábazimbwala hika: «Mwinda, ku sina dya nzungu ya tuma bisiwa sya kondilo ku tsi ya thangi? Keku ha thandu ya muzanga wa mwinda?Jesus also said to them, “Does anyone bring in a lamp to put it under a basket or under a bed? Doesn’t he set it on a stand?

22Mukuma heku kima kyaswamana, kyakonda zayakana, heku kitsweki kyakonda tunguluka mu kati kya mwini.For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light.

23Honi mutu wenina yi matu ma kuyukila, kayuka!»If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

24Kakala bazimbwala hika: «Kebenu mu mana lwisi yuka! Bakwisa lutesila muna kitesu kina lwisi tesila benu-benu; amana bayíka hika kikuma kya benu.He went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you.

25Mukuma bahána kwena wuna wenina kedi yi kima; kaasi kwena wuna wukondi kima, bamúkatula keti kina kenina kyawu.»For whoever has will be given more. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”

26Yesu kakala zimbula hika: «Phila mosi yi Kipfumu kya Nzambi, kyenina hanga mutu wubati mwanga kheni mu kilanga kyandi.Jesus also said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground.

27Kanimba kondilo katokama, phipha yi mwini, kheni yisi mena amana yikodi konda kazaya keti khi mutindu.Night and day he sleeps and wakes, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he knows not how.

28Mafu mabati menisa kheni mawu meni: theti ngwalengi, kunima misambu, tsuka-tsuka mbongu yikodi.All by itself the earth produces a crop—first the stalk, then the head, then grain that ripens within.

29Buna kyisi benga kibundu, batambudi mbedi, mukuma tangwa dya kuhelakya dilungidini.»And as soon as the grain is ripe, he swings the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

30Yesu kakala zimbula hika: «Yi biki twalenda fwanikisa Kipfumu kya Nzambi? Yi khi mutindu wa kingana twalenda fwanikisakya?Then He asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God? With what parable shall we present it?

31Kifwanani yi kheni ya tidi, buna batimbudiya muna mafu, yenina kukeya kuluta kheni zoosu za mu mafu.It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds sown upon the earth.

32Kaasi buna bakuniya, yileyi, mihandi mikodi kuluta miti myosu myenina mu masamba amana yilubudi mihandi mya mbuta, keti banuni ba ku zilu bafwani kutunga mazamba ma bawu muna tsya kivula kyandi.»But after it is planted, it grows to be the largest of all garden plants and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air nest in its shade.”

33Muna lawu dya bingana bya mutindu meni wuna mwa mwamuna Yesu kakala balongila Ndinga ya Nzambi, bwosu buna báfwana kuyukila.With many such parables Jesus spoke the word to them, to the extent that they could understand.

34Kakalaku bazonzisa konda ni kata kingana; kaasi mu kingenga, kakala tendula moosu kwena balonguki bandi.He did not tell them anything without using a parable. But privately He explained everything to His own disciples.

35Muna masikidika ma kilumbu meni kina, Yesu wubazimbudi kwena balonguki bandi: «Tulabukenu ku sambwa dina.»When that evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side.”

36Kunima dya kusula mulumba-lumba wa batu, bámunata muna masuwa mana kákala. Hákala phi yi masuwa mahika hakimosi yi yandi.After they had dismissed the crowd, they took Jesus with them, since He was already in the boat. And there were other boats with Him.

37Kimbongila kimosi kya ngolu kyátukula, makaka menika dibunda kuna masuwa, hanga masuwa mazodi mabasa yi mamba.Soon a violent windstorm came up, and the waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was being swamped.

38Yandi wanimba kákala kuna manima ma masuwa, mutwa hana mbumbi ya mutwa. Bámutokamisa amana bámuzimbwala: «Mulongi, tukulukini amana ngeyi bubatiku kuheka pasi?»But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him and said, “Teacher, don’t You care that we are perishing?”

39Yesu wátokama, wákaya kimbongila, amana wáhana muswa kwena yanga dya mbuta: «Kala talala, dibata!» Kimbongila kyádibata amana talala dya lawu dyákota.Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.

40Kunima Yesu wábazimbwala: «Kikuma kya biki lwenina yi bweya bwabuna? Lweku kedi yi lukwikilu?»“Why are you so afraid?” He asked. “Do you still have no faith?”

41Hanga kitswi kibakwati, bábanga lawu, bakala dizimbwala bawu yi bawu: «Amana nati kenina yandundu, ni keti kimbongila, keti yanga dya mbuta byamulemvukilaka?»Overwhelmed with fear, they asked one another, “Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
