Hákala kitesu kya mafunda modi ma bangulu; bázyonda muna yanga dya mbuta.He gave them permission, and the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs, and the herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the water.

Yandi wuna wákala wazakama yi khwingi ya bitembu bya mbi hanga báyuka bweya.When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons sitting there, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

17Hanga bayandikini mu kubokwadila Yesu ni kakatuka mu kinzunga kya bawu.And the people began to beg Jesus to leave their region.

18Buna kakala kota mu masuwa, mutu wuna bálubula bitembu bya mbi wámubokwadila ndangu kakalaka yi yandi.As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by the demons begged to go with Him.

19Kaasi Yesu kátambwasaku, wumuzimbwadini: «Vutuka ku nzu yaku, kwena biwutu byaku amana wabámenika moosu mamana kakuhangidini Pfumu yi buna kakuyukidini kiwayi.»But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.”

28Mukuma kakala dizimbwala: «Yukani yisimba lwesi myawu meni miledi myandi, yíkola.»For she kept saying, “If only I touch His garments, I will be healed.”

29Muna mbala mosi, menga mámukangama amana wádiyuka muna lutu lwandi, ni wukodi mu makhasi mandi.Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

30Muna mbala mosi, Yesu wádiyuka mwena yandi-meni ni ngolu zimosi zimulubukini. Kahanga wubalungini muna mulumba-lumba wa batu amana wuyandikini mu kuzimbula: «Nati wusimbi miledi myama?»At once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked, “Who touched My garments?”

34Kaasi Yesu wumuzimbwadini: «Mwana wama wa mukhetu, lukwikilu lwaku lukuhuludini. Ndawenda mu ngemba amana kola mu makhasi maku.»“Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”

Kikuma kya biki wubati muyangisila hika Mulongi?»While He was still speaking, messengers from the house of Jairus arrived and said, “Your daughter is dead; why bother the Teacher anymore?”

36Kaasi Yesu kálandaku mana bakala zonza, wázimbula kwena Zayilusi: «Wuyukaku bweya, kwikila lwesi.»But Jesus overheard their conversation and said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

39Wákota amana wábazimbwala: «Kikuma kya biki mvwalangani yayi yi bidilu byabi? Mwana kafiku, wunimbiki.»He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.”

40Bawu bakala museya. Kaasi yandi wábakukwasa boosu, wutambudi lwesi tata yi ngudi wa mwana, yi balonguki bana bakala musindikila; amana wákota muna kákala mwana.And they laughed at Him. After He had put them all outside, He took the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and went in to see the child.

41Yesu wámusimba mwana kuna koku amana wumuzimbwadi: «Tadita kum!» Disongidila: «Mwana wa mukhetu, yikuzimbwadibwa, telama!»Taking her by the hand, Jesus said, “Talitha koum!” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”

42Muna mbala mosi, mwana wa mukhetu wátelama amana wáyandika kukangala; mvula kumi yi zodi kákala zawu. Mabanza mábavwalangana boosu.Immediately the girl got up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). And at once they were utterly astounded.

43Kaasi Yesu wátoma bakandisa ni keti mutu kazayabwoku, amana wuzimbudini: «Muhekenu bima bya kudya.»Then Jesus gave strict orders that no one should know about this, and He told them to give her something to eat.
