1 ULB ሁከቱ ካበቃ በኋላ፣ ጳውሎስ ደቀ መዛሙርቱን አስጠርቶ አበረታታቸው። ከዚያም ተሰናበታቸውና ወደ መቄዶንያ ለመሄድ ተነሣ። BSB BSB: When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples. And after encouraging them, he said goodbye to them and left for Macedonia.
2 ULB በእነዚያም አካባቢዎች እያለፈ ያመኑትን እጅግ ካበረታታ በኋላ፣ ወደ ግሪክ ገባ። BSB BSB: After traveling through that area and speaking many words of encouragement, he arrived in Greece,
3 ULB በዚያም ሦስት ወር ከቈየ በኋላ፣ ወደ ሶርያ በመርከብ ለመሄድ እያሰበ ሳለ፣ አይሁድ አሤሩበት፤ ስለዚህ በመቄዶንያ አድርጎ ለመመለስ ወሰነ። BSB BSB: where he stayed three months. And when the Jews formed a plot against him as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia.
4 ULB እስከ እስያ የሸኙትም የቤርያው ሱሲጳጥሮስ፣ ከተሰሎንቄ የመጡት አርስጥሮኮስና ሲኮንዱስ፣ የደርቤኑ ጋይዮስ፣ ጢሞቴዎስ፣ እንዲሁም ከእስያ የመጡት ቲኪቆስና ጥሮፊሞስ ነበሩ። BSB BSB: Paul was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy, and Tychicus and Trophimus from the province of Asia.
5 ULB እነዚህ ሰዎች ግን ቀድመውን በጢሮአዳ ጠበቁን። BSB BSB: These men went on ahead and waited for us in Troas.
6 ULB እኛም ከቂጣ በዓል ቀን በኋላ፣ ከፊልጵስዩስ በመርከብ ተነሥተን በዐምስት ቀን ውስጥ ጢሮአዳ ደረስንባቸው፤ እዚያም ሰባት ቀን ተቀመጥን። BSB BSB: And after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we sailed from Philippi, and five days later we rejoined them in Troas, where we stayed seven days.
8 ULB በተሰበሰብንበትም ሰገነት ላይ ብዙ መብራቶች ነበሩ። BSB BSB: Now there were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered.
9 ULB አውጤኪስ የሚባል ወጣትም በመስኮት ተቀምጦ ሳለ፣ እንቅልፍ ጭልጥ አድርጎ ወሰደው። ጳውሎስ ንግግሩን ባስረዘመ ጊዜ፣ ይህ ወጣት ገና ተኝቶ እንዳለ ከሦስተኛው ፎቅ ወደቀ፤ ሲያነሡትም ሞቶ ነበር። BSB BSB: And a certain young man named Eutychus, seated in the window, was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell from the third story and was picked up dead.
10 ULB ጳውሎስ ግን ወርዶ በላዩ ተዘረጋበት፣ ዐቀፈውም። ከዚያም፣ “በሕይወት ስላለ ከዚህ በኋላ አትታወኩ” አለ። BSB BSB: But Paul went down, threw himself on the young man, and embraced him. “Do not be alarmed!” he said. “He is still alive!”
11 ULB እንደ ገናም በደረጃ ወደ ላይ ወጣ፤ እንጀራ ቈርሶም በላ። እስኪነጋ ድረስም ለረዥም ጊዜ ከእነርሱ ጋር ከተነጋገረ በኋላ፣ ተለይቶአቸው ሄደ። BSB BSB: Then Paul went back upstairs, broke bread, and ate. And after speaking until daybreak, he departed.
12 ULB ወጣቱንም በሕይወት እያለ አመጡት፤ በዚህም እጅግ ተጽናኑ። BSB BSB: And the people were greatly relieved to take the boy home alive.
13 ULB እኛም ራሳችን ጳውሎስን በመርከብ ለማሳፈር ወዳሰብንበት ወደ አሶን ቀድመን በመርከብ ሄድን። እርሱም ያሰበው ይህንኑ ነበር፤ በመርከብ ለመሄድ ዐቅዶ ነበርና። BSB BSB: We went on ahead to the ship and sailed to Assos, where we were to take Paul aboard. He had arranged this because he was going there on foot.
14 ULB በአሶን ሲያገኘንም፣ ወዳለንበት መርከብ አስገብተነው ወደ ሚሊጢን ጕዞአችንን ቀጠልን። BSB BSB: And when he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene.
15 ULB ከዚያም በመርከብ ተነሣንና በማግስቱ ኪዩ በምትባለዋ ደሴት ትይዩ ደረስን። በሚቀጥለውም ቀን ወደ ሳሞን ደሴት ጎራ ብለን፣ በማግስቱ ወደ ሚሊጢን ከተማ ገባን፤ BSB BSB: Sailing on from there, we arrived the next day opposite Chios. The day after that we arrived at Samos, and on the following day we came to Miletus.
16 ULB ጳውሎስም በእስያ ውስጥ ጊዜ ሳያባክን፣ ኤፌሶንን ዐልፎ በመርከብ ለመሄድ ወስኖ ነበርና፤ ምክንያቱም በተቻለው መጠን ሁሉ ለበዓለ ኀምሳ በኢየሩሳሌም ለመገኘት ቸኵሎ ነበር። BSB BSB: Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, because he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.
17 ULB ሰዎችንም ከሚሊጢን ወደ ኤፌሶን ልኮ፣ የቤተ ክርስቲያን ሽማግሌዎችን ወደ ራሱ አስጠራቸው። BSB BSB: From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church.
18 ULB ወደ እርሱ በመጡም ጊዜ፣ እንዲህ አላቸው፤ “ወደ እስያ ከገባሁበት ከመጀመሪያው ቀን ጀምሮ፣ ዘወትር እንዴት ከእናንተ ጋር እንደ ኖርሁ እናንተ ራሳችሁ ታውቃላችሁ። BSB BSB: When they came to him, he said, “You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I arrived in the province of Asia.
19 ULB ራሴን እጅግ ዝቅ በማድረግና በእንባ፣ ከአይሁድ ሤራ የተነሣ በገጠመኝ መከራም ውስጥ ጌታን ማገልገል አላቋረጥሁም። BSB BSB: I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, especially in the trials that came upon me through the plots of the Jews.
20 ULB ጠቃሚ የሆነውን ነገር ሁሉ ለእናንተ ከመግለጽና በአደባባይም ሆነ ቤት ለቤት በመዞር እናንተን ከማስተማር ወደ ኋላ እንዳላልሁ ታውቃላችሁ። BSB BSB: I did not shrink back from declaring anything that was helpful to you as I taught you publicly and from house to house,
21 ULB በንስሓ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ስለ መመለስና በጌታችን በኢየሱስ ስለ ማመን አይሁድንና ግሪኮችን እንዴት ሳስጠነቅቃቸው እንደ ነበር ታውቃላችሁ። BSB BSB: testifying to Jews and Greeks alike about repentance to God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 ULB እንግዲህ ተመልከቱ፤ እዚያ ምን እንደሚጠብቀኝ ሳላውቅ፣ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ታስሬ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም እሄዳለሁ፤ BSB BSB: And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.
23 ULB ነገር ግን መንፈስ ቅዱስ እስራትና መከራ እንደሚቆየኝ በየከተማው ይመሰክርልኛል። BSB BSB: I only know that in town after town the Holy Spirit warns me that chains and afflictions await me.
24 ULB ነገር ግን ሩጫዬንና ከጌታ ኢየሱስ የተቀበልሁትን የእግዚአብሔርን ጸጋ ወንጌል የመመስከር አገልግሎት እስከምጨርስ ድረስ፣ እንደ ውድ ነገር በመቍጠር፣ ለሕይወቴ አልሳሳላትም። BSB BSB: But I consider my life of no value to me, if only I may finish my course and complete the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus—the ministry of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
25 ULB እንግዲህ ተመልከቱ፤ የእግዚአብሔርን መንግሥት እየሰበክሁ በመካከላችሁ የዞርሁትን የእኔን ፊት ሁላችሁ ዳግመኛ እንደማታዩ ዐውቃለሁ። BSB BSB: Now I know that none of you among whom I have preached the kingdom will see my face again.
26 ULB ስለዚህ ከማንም ሰው ደም ንጹሕ እንደ ሆንሁ ዛሬ እመሰክርላችኋለሁ፤ BSB BSB: Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
27 ULB ምክንያቱም የእግዚአብሔርን ፈቃድ ሁሉ ለእናንተ ከመግለጽ ወደ ኋላ ብዬ አላውቅም። BSB BSB: For I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole will of God.
28 ULB ስለዚህ በገዛ ራሱ ደም የገዛትን የጌታን ጉባኤ ትጠብቁ ዘንድ፣ ስለ ራሳችሁና መንፈስ ቅዱስ ጠባቂ አድርጎ እናንተን ለሾመበት፣ ለመንጋው ሁሉ ተጠንቀቁ። BSB BSB: Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.
29 ULB እኔ ከሄድሁ በኋላ፣ ለመንጋው ርኅራኄ የሌላቸው አጥፊ ተኵላዎች በመካከላችሁ እንደሚገቡ ዐውቃለሁ። BSB BSB: I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
30 ULB ከእናንተ መካከልም እንኳ ደቀ መዛሙርትን የራሳቸው ተከታዮች ለማድረግ አንዳንድ ሰዎች መጥተው ጠማማ ነገሮችን እንደሚናገሩ ዐውቃለሁ። BSB BSB: Even from your own number, men will rise up and distort the truth to draw away disciples after them.
31 ULB ስለዚህ ተጠንቀቁ። ሳላቋርጥ ቀንና ሌሊት፣ ሁላችሁንም ሦስት ዓመት በእንባ እንዳገለገልኋችሁም አስታውሱ። BSB BSB: Therefore be alert and remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.
32 ULB አሁንም ለእግዚአብሔርና ሊያንጻችሁ፣ እንዲሁም በቅዱሳን ሁሉ መካከል ርስትን ሊሰጣችሁ ለሚችለው ለጸጋው ቃል ዐደራ እሰጣችኋለሁ። BSB BSB: And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.
33 ULB የማንንም ብር፣ ወርቅ ወይም ልብስ አልተመኘሁም። BSB BSB: I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.
34 ULB እነዚህ እጆቼ የእኔንም፣ ከእኔ ጋር የነበሩትንም ሰዎች ፍላጎት ሲያሟሉ እንደ ነበር እናንተ ራሳችሁ ታውቃላችሁ። BSB BSB: You yourselves know that these hands of mine have ministered to my own needs and those of my companions.
35 ULB ደካሞችን በሥራ እንዴት እንደምትረዱ፣ “ከሚቀበል ይልቅ የሚሰጥ የተባረከ ነው” የሚለውንም የጌታ ኢየሱስን ቃል እንዴት እንደምታስታውሱ በሁሉም ረገድ አርኣያ ሆንኋችሁ። BSB BSB: In everything, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus Himself: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
36 ULB ጳውሎስ ይህን ሁሉ ካለ በኋላ፣ ተንበርክኮ ከሁሉም ጋር ጸለየ። BSB BSB: When Paul had said this, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.
37 ULB ሁሉም እጅግ በማልቀስ ዐንገቱ ላይ ተጠምጥመው ሳሙት። BSB BSB: They all wept openly as they embraced Paul and kissed him.
38 ULB ፊቱን ዳግመኛ እንደማያዩ መናገሩም ከሁሉ በላይ አሳዘናቸው። ከዚያም እስከ መርከቡ ድረስ ሸኙት። BSB BSB: They were especially grieved by his statement that they would never see his face again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
