1 ULB ሌዋታንን በዓሳ መንጠቆ ልትይዘው ትችላለህ? ወይስ መንጋጋዎቹን በገመድ ታስራለህ? BSB BSB: “Can you pull in Leviathan with a hook or tie down his tongue with a rope?
2 ULB በአፍንጫው ገመድ ልታስገባ ወይም አገጩን በችካል ልትበሳው ትችላለህ? BSB BSB: Can you put a cord through his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook?
3 ULB አብዝቶስ ይለምንሃል? በለሰለሱ ቃላትስ ያናግርሃል? BSB BSB: Will he beg you for mercy or speak to you softly?
4 ULB የሁልጊዜ አገልጋይህ ለመሆን እንድትወስደው ከአንተ ጋር ስምምነት ያደርጋል? BSB BSB: Will he make a covenant with you to take him as a slave for life?
5 ULB ከወፍ ጋር እንደምትጫወት ከእርሱ ጋር ትጫወታለህ? ሴት አገልጋዮችህ እንዲጫወቱበት ታስርላቸዋለህ? BSB BSB: Can you pet him like a bird or put him on a leash for your maidens?
6 ULB ዓሳ አጥማጆችስ በእርሱ ላይ ይደራደራሉ? ለነጋዴዎችስ ያከፋፍሉታል? BSB BSB: Will traders barter for him or divide him among the merchants?
7 ULB ቆዳውን በአንካሴ ወይም ራሱን በዓሳ መውጊያ ጦር ልትበሳው ትችላለህ? አንድ ጊዜ ብቻ BSB BSB: Can you fill his hide with harpoons or his head with fishing spears?
8 ULB እጅህን በላዩ ላይ አድርግ፥ ያን ጊዜ ግብግቡን አትረሳውም፥ እንዲህ ያለውን ተግባርም አትደግመውም። BSB BSB: If you lay a hand on him, you will remember the battle and never repeat it!
9 ULB ተመልከት፥ ማንም ይህንን ለማድረግ ተስፋ ቢያደርግ ሐሰተኛ ነው፤ እርሱን በማየቱ ብቻ በድንጋጤ የማይወድቅ ማነው? BSB BSB: Surely hope of overcoming him is false. Is not the sight of him overwhelming?
10 ULB ሌዋታንን ለመቀስቀስ የሚደፍር የለም፤ ማንስ በፊቱ ሊቆም ይችላል? BSB BSB: No one is so fierce as to rouse Leviathan. Then who is able to stand against Me?
11 ULB እንድመልስለት ማንኛውንም ነገር አስቀድሞ ለእኔ የሰጠኝ ማነው? ከሰማይ በታች ያለው ሁሉ የእኔ ነው። BSB BSB: Who has given to Me that I should repay him? Everything under heaven is Mine.
12 ULB ስለ ሌዋታን እግሮች፥ ስለ ብርታቱና ስለተዋበው ቅርጹ ከመናገር ዝም አልልም። BSB BSB: I cannot keep silent about his limbs, his power and graceful form.
13 ULB ቆዳውን ማን ሊገፈው ይችላል? ድርብ መከላከያውንስ ማን ሊበሳው ይችላል? BSB BSB: Who can strip off his outer coat? Who can approach him with a bridle?
14 ULB አስፈሪ ጥርሶቹ የተገጠገጡበትን የፊቱን ደጆች ማን ሊከፍት ይችላል? BSB BSB: Who can open his jaws, ringed by his fearsome teeth?
15 ULB ጀርባው ተቀራርበው ከተጣበቁ ንብርብር ጋሻዎች የተሠራ ነው። BSB BSB: His rows of scales are his pride, tightly sealed together.
16 ULB አንደኛው ከሌላኛው ጋር እጅግ ከመቀራረቡ የተነሣ በመካከላቸው ነፋስ አያስገባም። BSB BSB: One scale is so near to another that no air can pass between them.
17 ULB እርስ በእርስ ተገናኝተዋል፥ ሊነቅሏቸው እስከማይቻልም ድረስ በአንድነት ተጣብቀዋል። BSB BSB: They are joined to one another; they clasp and cannot be separated.
18 ULB ከእንጥሽታው የብርሃን ብልጭታ ይወጣል፤ ዓይኖቹ እንደ ንጋት ጮራ ያበራሉ። BSB BSB: His snorting flashes with light, and his eyes are like the rays of dawn.
19 ULB የሚነድ ፍም፥ የእሳትም ትንታግ ከአፉ ይወጣል። BSB BSB: Firebrands stream from his mouth; fiery sparks shoot forth!
20 ULB በእሳት ላይ ተጥዶ በኃይል እንደሚንተከተክ ድስት ከአፍንጫው ጢስ ይወጣል። BSB BSB: Smoke billows from his nostrils as from a boiling pot over burning reeds.
21 ULB እስትንፋሱ ከሰሉን እንዲቀጣጠል ያደርገዋል፤ ከአፉም እሳት ይወጣል። BSB BSB: His breath sets coals ablaze, and flames pour from his mouth.
22 ULB ብርታት በአንገቱ ውስጥ አለ፥ ሽብርም በፊት ለፊቱ ይጨፍራል። BSB BSB: Strength resides in his neck, and dismay leaps before him.
23 ULB የሥጋው እጥፋቶች እርስ በእርሳቸው የተገጠገጡ ናቸው፤ በእርሱ ላይ ጸንተዋል፤ ሊያነቃንቋቸውም አይቻልም። BSB BSB: The folds of his flesh are tightly joined; they are firm and immovable.
24 ULB ልቡ እንደ ድንጋይ የጠነከረ ነው፤ በእርግጥም እንደ ወፍጮ መጅ ጠንካራ ነው። BSB BSB: His chest is as hard as a rock, as hard as a lower millstone!
25 ULB ቀና በሚልበት ጊዜ አማልክት እንኳ ይፈራሉ፤ ከፍርሃታቸውም የተነሣ ወደኋላቸው ይመለሳሉ። BSB BSB: When Leviathan rises up, the mighty are terrified; they withdraw before his thrashing.
26 ULB ሰይፍ ቢቆርጠው አንዳች አይሰማውም፤ ጦር፥ ቀስት፥ ወይም የትኛውም የጦር መሣሪያ ቢነጣጠርበት አይሰጋም። BSB BSB: The sword that reaches him has no effect, nor does the spear or dart or arrow.
27 ULB ብረትን እንደ አገዳ፥ ናስንም እንደ ነቀዘ እንጨት ይቆጥረዋል። BSB BSB: He regards iron as straw and bronze as rotten wood.
28 ULB ቀስት እንዲሸሽ አያደርገውም፥ የወንጭፍ ድንጋይም ለእርሱ እንደ ገለባ ነው። BSB BSB: No arrow can make him flee; slingstones become like chaff to him.
29 ULB ዱላ እንደ አገዳ ተቆጥሯል፤ በሚወረወርበት ጦር ላይም ይስቃል። BSB BSB: A club is regarded as straw, and he laughs at the sound of the lance.
30 ULB የሆዱ ስር እንደ ገል ስብርባሪ የሾለ ነው፤ የእህል መውቂያ መሣሪያ ይመስል በጭቃው ላይ ምልክት ትቶ ያልፋል። BSB BSB: His undersides are jagged potsherds, spreading out the mud like a threshing sledge.
31 ULB በድስጥ ውስጥ ያለ ውሃ እንደሚፈላ የጥልቁን ውሃ ያናውጠዋል፤ ባህሩንም እንደ ሽቶ ቢልቃጥ ያደርገዋል። BSB BSB: He makes the depths seethe like a cauldron; he makes the sea like a jar of ointment.
32 ULB የሄደበት መንገድ ከበስተኋላው እንዲያበራ ያደርጋል፤ ይህንን ያየም ጥልቁን ነጭ ነው ብሎ ያስባል። BSB BSB: He leaves a glistening wake behind him; one would think the deep had white hair!
33 ULB ያለ ፍርሃት እንዲኖር የተፈጠረ በምድር ላይ እርሱን የሚያክል የለም። BSB BSB: Nothing on earth is his equal—a creature devoid of fear!
34 ULB ኩሩ የሆነውን ሁሉ ያያል፤ እርሱ በትዕቢት ልጆች ሁሉ ላይ ንጉሥ ነው።" BSB BSB: He looks down on all the haughty; he is king over all the proud.”
