2 ULB በቀን አንዳንድ ዲናር ሊከፍላቸው ከሠራተኞቹ ጋር ከተስማማ በኋላ፣ ወደ ወይኑ አትክልት ስፍራ ላካቸው። BSB BSB: He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard.
3 ULB ደግሞም በሦስት ሰዓት ገደማ ወጥቶ በገበያ ቦታ ሥራ ፈትተው የቆሙ ሌሎች ሠራተኞችን አየና፣ BSB BSB: About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.
4 ULB 'እናንተ ደግሞ ወደ ወይኑ አትክልት ስፍራ ሂዱ፤ የሚገባችሁንም እከፍላችኋለሁ' አላቸው። ስለዚህ እነርሱም ሊሠሩ ሄዱ። BSB BSB: ‘You also go into my vineyard,’ he said, ‘and I will pay you whatever is right.’
5 ULB ደግሞ በስድስት ሰዓትና በዘጠኝ ሰዓት ገደማ ወጥቶ እንደዚሁ አደረገ። BSB BSB: So they went. He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing.
6 ULB አሁንም በዐሥራ አንደኛው ሰዓት ገደማ ወጥቶ ሥራ ፈትተው የቆሙ ሌሎችን አገኘ። እነርሱንም፣ 'ቀኑን ሙሉ ሥራ ፈትታችሁ እዚህ ለምን ቆማችኋል?' አላቸው። BSB BSB: About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ he asked.
7 ULB 'ማንም ስላልቀጠረን ነው' አሉት። 'እናንተም ደግሞ ወደ ወይኑ አትክልት ስፍራ ሂዱ' አላቸው። BSB BSB: ‘Because no one has hired us,’ they answered. So he told them, ‘You also go into my vineyard.’
8 ULB ቀኑ በመሸ ጊዜ፣ የወይኑ አትክልት ባለቤት ሥራ አስኪያጁን፣ 'ሠራተኞቹን ጥራ ከኋለኞቹ አንሥተህ እስከ ፊተኞቹ የሠሩበትን ገንዘብ ክፈላቸው' አለው። BSB BSB: When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, starting with the last ones hired and moving on to the first.’
9 ULB በዐሥራ አንደኛው ሰዓት የተቀጠሩት ሠራተኞች በመጡ ጊዜ፣ እያንዳንዳቸው አንዳንድ ዲናር ተቀበሉ። BSB BSB: The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius.
10 ULB ፊተኞቹ ሠራተኞች በመጡ ጊዜ፣ የበለጠ የሚቀበሉ መሰላቸው፤ ነገር ግን እነርሱም ደግም እያንዳንዳቸው አንዳንድ ዲናር ተቀበሉ። BSB BSB: So when the original workers came, they assumed they would receive more. But each of them also received a denarius.
11 ULB ገንዘባቸውን በተቀበሉ ጊዜ፣ በወይኑ አትክልት ባለቤት ላይ አጕረመረሙ። BSB BSB: On receiving their pay, they began to grumble against the landowner.
12 ULB እንዲህም አሉ፤ 'እነዚህ በመጨረሻ የመጡ ሠራተኞች በሥራ ላይ አንድ ሰዓት ብቻ አሳልፈዋል፤ ነገር ግን አንተ የዕለቱን ሸክምና የሚለበልበውን ሙቀት ከተሸከምነው ከእኛ ጋር እኩል አድርገሃቸዋል።' BSB BSB: ‘These men who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the scorching heat of the day.’
13 ULB ባለቤቱ ግን መልሶ ከእነርሱ አንዱን እንዲህ አለው፤ "ወዳጄ ሆይ፣ አልበደልኩህም። ከእኔ ጋር በአንድ ዲናር አልተስማማህምን? BSB BSB: But he answered one of them, ‘Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Did you not agree with me on one denarius?
14 ULB የሚገባህን ተቀብለህ መንገድህን ሂድ፤ ለእነዚህ በመጨረሻ ለተቀጠሩት ሠራተኞች ልክ እንደ አንተው ልሰጣቸው ደስ ይለኛል። BSB BSB: Take your pay and go. I want to give this last man the same as I gave you.
15 ULB በገዛ ንብረቴ የፈለግሁትን ማድረግ አይገባኝምን? ወይስ እኔ ደግ ስለ ሆንሁ ትመቀኛለህን? BSB BSB: Do I not have the right to do as I please with what is mine? Or are you envious because I am generous?’
16 ULB ስለዚህ ኋለኞች ፊተኞች፣ ፊተኞችም ኋለኞች ይሆናሉ።" BSB BSB: So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
17 ULB ኢየሱስ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ይወጣ ስለ ነበር፣ ዐሥራ ሁለቱን ደቀ መዛሙርት ለብቻቸው ወሰደ፤ በመንገድ ላይም እንዲህ አላቸው፦ BSB BSB: As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside and said,
18 ULB እነሆ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም እንወጣለን፤ የሰው ልጅም ለካህናት አለቆችና ለሕግ መምህራን ተላልፎ ይሰጣል። ሞትም ይፈርዱበታል፤ BSB BSB: “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death
19 ULB እንዲዘብቱበት፣ እንዲገርፉት፣ እንዲሰቅሉትም ለአሕዛብ ይሰጡታል። ነገር ግን በሦስተኛው ቀን ይነሣል።" BSB BSB: and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. And on the third day He will be raised to life.”
20 ULB በዚያን ጊዜ የዘብዴዎስ ልጆች እናት ከልጆቿ ጋር ወደ ኢየሱስ መጣች፤ በፊቱ ተንበርክካም ከእርሱ አንድ ነገር ለመነች። BSB BSB: Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and knelt down to make a request of Him.
21 ULB ኢየሱስ፣ "ምን ትፈልጊያለሽ?" አላት። እርሷም፣ "በመንግሥትህ እነዚህ ሁለት ልጆቼ አንዱ በቀኝህ፣ አንዱም በግራህ እንዲቀመጡ እዘዝ" አለችው። BSB BSB: “What do you want?” He inquired. She answered, “Declare that in Your kingdom one of these two sons of mine may sit at Your right hand, and the other at Your left.”
22 ULB ኢየሱስ ግን መልሶ፣ "የምትለምኑትን አታውቁም። እኔ የምጠጣውን ጽዋ መጠጣት ትችላላችሁን?" አለ። እነርሱ፣ "እንችላለን" አሉት። BSB BSB: “You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” the brothers answered.
23 ULB ኢየሱስ እንዲህ አላቸው፤ "በርግጥ ጽዋዬን ትጠጣላችሁ። በቀኜና በግራዬ መቀመጥን የምሰጥ ግን እኔ አይደለሁም፤ ነገር ግን በአባቴ ለተዘጋጀላቸው ለእነርሱ ነው።" BSB BSB: “You will indeed drink My cup,” Jesus said. “But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom My Father has prepared them.”
24 ULB ሌሎቹ ዐሥሩ ደቀ መዛሙርት ይህን በሰሙ ጊዜ፣ በሁለቱ ወንድማማች ላይ ተቈጡ። BSB BSB: When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.
25 ULB ነገር ግን ኢየሱስ ወደ ራሱ ጠርቶ እንዲህ አላቸው፣ "የአሕዛብ አለቆች ሕዝባቸውን ጨቊነው ይገዛሉ፤ የበላዮቻቸውም ይሠለጥኑባቸዋል። BSB BSB: But Jesus called them aside and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.
26 ULB በእናንተ መካከል ግን እንዲህ መደረግ የለበትም። ይልቁንም፣ ከእናንተ መካከል ታላቅ ሊሆን የሚፈልግ ሁሉ አገልጋያችሁ ይሁን፤ BSB BSB: It shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
27 ULB ከእናንተም ፊተኛ ሊሆን የሚፈልግ ሁሉ አገልጋያችሁ ይሁን። BSB BSB: and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave—
28 ULB የሰው ልጅ ሊያገለግል፣ ሕይወቱንም ለብዙዎች ቤዛ አድርጎ ሊሰጥ እንጂ፣ እንዲያገለግሉት አልመጣም።" BSB BSB: just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
29 ULB ከኢያሪኮ እንደ ወጡ፣ ብዙ ሕዝብ ኢየሱስን ተከተሉት። BSB BSB: As they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed Him.
30 ULB እነሆ፣ ሁለት ዐይነ ስውሮች በመንገድ ዳር ተቀምጠው ነበር፤ ኢየሱስ ሲያልፍ በሰሙ ጊዜ ጮኽ ብለው፣ "ጌታ ሆይ፣ የዳዊት ልጅ፣ ማረን" አሉ። BSB BSB: And there were two blind men sitting beside the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
31 ULB ሕዝቡ ግን ዝም እንዲሉ በመንገር ገሠጿቸው። ይሁን እንጂ፣ እነርሱ አብዝተው በመጮኽ፣ "ጌታ ሆይ፣ የዳዊት ልጅ ማረን" አሉ። BSB BSB: The crowd admonished them to be silent, but they cried out all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”
32 ULB በዚያን ጊዜ ኢየሱስ ቆም ብሎ ጠራቸውና፣ "ምን እንዳደርግላችሁ ትፈልጋላችሁ?" አለ። BSB BSB: Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want Me to do for you?” He asked.
33 ULB እነርሱም፣ "ጌታ ሆይ፣ ዐይኖቻችን እንዲከፈቱ ነው" አሉት። BSB BSB: “Lord,” they answered, “let our eyes be opened.”
34 ULB ከዚያም ኢየሱስ ራርቶ፣ ዐይኖቻቸውን ዳሰሰ። እነርሱም ወዲያውኑ አይተው ተከተሉት። BSB BSB: Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and at once they received their sight and followed Him.
