1 ULB ተግሳጽን የሚወድ እውቀትን ይወዳል፣ እርምትን የሚጠላ ግን ደነዝ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
2 ULB እግዚአብሔር ለመልካም ሰው ሞገስን ይሰጠዋል፣ ክፉ እቅድ ለሚያወጣ ሰው ግን ይፈርድበታል፡፡ BSB BSB: The good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a man who devises evil.
3 ULB ሰው በክፋት ላይ ተመስርቶ ጸንቶ ሊቆም አይችልም፣ ጽድቅን የሚያደርጉ ግን ከመሰረታቸው አይነቀሉም፡፡ BSB BSB: A man cannot be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted.
4 ULB መልካም ሴት ለበሏ ዘውድ ናት፣ አሳፋሪ ሴት ግን አጥንቱን እንደሚያበሰብስ በሽታ ናት፡፡ BSB BSB: A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but she who causes shame is like decay in his bones.
5 ULB ጽድቅን የሚያደርጉ ሰዎች እቅድ ጽድቅ ነው፣ የክፉዎች ምክር ግን ተንኮል ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: The plans of the righteous are just, but the counsel of the wicked leads to deceit.
6 ULB የክፉ ሰዎች ቃል ድንገት ለመግደል አድፍጦ ያደባል፣ የቅኖች ቃል ግን ይታደጋቸዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.
7 ULB ክፉ ሰዎች ይገለበጣሉ፣ አይገኙምም፣ ጽድቅን የሚያደርጉ ሰዎች ቤት ግን ጸንቶ ይቆማል፡፡ BSB BSB: The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the house of the righteous will stand.
8 ULB ሰው በጥበቡ ብዛት ይመሰገናል፣ ጠማማ ምርጫዎች የሚያደርግ ግን ይናቃል፡፡ BSB BSB: A man is praised according to his wisdom, but a twisted mind is despised.
9 ULB የሚበላው ምግብ ሳይኖረው ከሚኩራራ ሰው ይልቅ ራሱን ዝቅ አድርጎ አገልጋይ መሆን ይሻላል፡፡ BSB BSB: Better to be lightly esteemed yet have a servant, than to be self-important but lack food.
11 ULB መሬቱን በሚገባ የሚያርስ የተትረፈረፈ ምግብ ያገኛል፣ ዋጋ ቢስ ስራዎችን የሚያሳድድ ሰው ግን አእምሮ አልባ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies lacks judgment.
12 ULB ኃጢአተኞች ክፉ ሰዎች ከሌሎች የሰረቁትን ይመኛሉ፣ ጽድቅን የሚያደርጉ ሰዎች ፍሬ ግን ከገዛ ራሳቸው ይመጣል፡፡ BSB BSB: The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
13 ULB ክፉ ሰው በክፉ ንግግሩ ይጠመዳል፣ ጽድቅን የሚያደርጉ ሰዎች ግን ከመከራ ያመልጣሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: An evil man is trapped by his rebellious speech, but a righteous man escapes from trouble.
14 ULB ሰው ከቃሎቹ ፍሬ የተነሳ መልካም ነገርን ይጠግባል፣ እንደ እጁ ስራም ዋጋውን ይቀበላል፡፡ BSB BSB: By fruitful speech a man is filled with good things, and the work of his hands returns to him.
15 ULB የሞኝ መንገድ ለራሱ ትክክል መስሎ ይታየዋል፣ ጥበበኛ ሰው ግን ምክርን ይሰማል፡፡ BSB BSB: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel.
16 ULB ሞኝ ቁጣውን በቶሎ ይገልጣል፣ ስድብን ንቆ የሚተው ግን አስተዋይ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: A fool’s anger is known at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
17 ULB እወነትን የሚናገር ትክክለኛውን ነገር ይናራል፣ ሐሰተኛ ምስክር ግን ውሸትን ይናገራል፡፡ BSB BSB: He who speaks the truth declares what is right, but a false witness speaks deceit.
18 ULB የለፍላፊ ሰው ቃሎች እንደሚዋጋ ሰይፍ ነው፣ የጥበበኛ አንደበት ግን ፈውስን ያመጣል፡፡ BSB BSB: Speaking rashly is like a piercing sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
19 ULB እውነተኛ ከንፈሮች ለዘላለም ይኖራሉ፣ ሀሰተኛ ከንፈር ግን ለቅጽበት ብቻ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
20 ULB ክፋትን ለማድረግ በሚያቅዱ ሰዎች ልብ ውስጥ ተንኮል አለ፣ ሰላምን ለሚመክሩ ሰዎች ግን ደስታ ይመጣል፡፡ BSB BSB: Deceit is in the hearts of those who devise evil, but the counselors of peace have joy.
21 ULB ጽድቅን የሚያደርጉ ሰዎች በሽታ አያገኛቸውም፣ ክፉ ሰዎች ግን በመከራ የተሞሉ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.
22 ULB እግዚአብሔር ሀሰተኛ ከንፈሮችን ይጠላል፣ በእውነተኛነት በሚኖሩ ሰዎች ግን ደስ ይለዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: Lying lips are detestable to the LORD, but those who deal faithfully are His delight.
23 ULB አስተዋይ ሰው እወቀቱን ይሰውራል፣ የሞኞች ልብ ግን ከንቱነትን ያወራል፡፡ BSB BSB: A shrewd man keeps his knowledge to himself, but a foolish heart proclaims its folly.
24 ULB የትጉ ሰዎች እጅ ይገዛል፣ ሰነፍ ሰዎች ግን ለጉልበት ስራተኝነት ታልፈው ይሰጣሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: The hand of the diligent will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
25 ULB በሰው ልብ ውስጥ የሚገኝ ጭንቀት ያዋርደዋል፣ መልካም ቃል ግን ደስ ያሰኘዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: Anxiety weighs down the heart of a man, but a good word cheers it up.
26 ULB ጽድቅን የሚያደርግ ሰው ለጓደኛው መንገድን ያሳያል፣ የክፉ መንገድ ግን ታስታቸዋለች፡፡ BSB BSB: A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the ways of the wicked lead them astray.
27 ULB ሰነፍ ሰዎች አድነው ያመጡትን እንስሳ እንኳ አይጠብሱም፣ ትጉ ሰው ግን የከበረ ሀብት ያገኛል፡፡ BSB BSB: A lazy man does not roast his game, but a diligent man prizes his possession.
28 ULB በጽድቅ መንገድ የሚሄዱ ሰዎች ሕይወትን ያገኛሉ፣ በጎዳናዋም ሞት የለም፡፡ BSB BSB: There is life in the path of righteousness, but another path leads to death.
