1 ULB ያህዌን አመስግኑ ቸር ነውና ያህዌን አመስግኑ ምሕረቱም ለዘላለም ነውና፡፡ BSB BSB: Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
2 ULB የያህዌን ብርቱ ሥራ ማን ሊናገር ይችላል? ምስጋናውንስ ሁሉ ማን ተናግሮ ይጨርሳል? BSB BSB: Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?
3 ULB ዘወትር መልካሙንና ትክክል የሆነውን የሚያደርጉ የተባረኩ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.
4 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ፣ ለሕዝብህ ሞገስ ስታደርግ አስበኝ፤ በምታድናቸውም ጊዜ ርዳኝ፡፡ BSB BSB: Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,
5 ULB ይኸውም፣ አንተ የመረጥሃቸውን መበልጸግ እንዳይ፣ በሕዝብህ ደስ መሰኘት እኔንም ደስ እንዲለኝ በርስትህም ክብር መመካት እንድችል ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.
6 ULB እኛም እንደ አባቶቻችን ኃጢአት ሠራን፣ በደልን፣ ክፉም አደረግን፡፡ BSB BSB: We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
7 ULB አባቶቻችን በግብፅ ምድር ያደረግኸውን አላስተዋሉም፡፡ ብዙዎቹን የቸርነት ሥራዎቹን አላስተዋሉም፡፡ በባሕሩ አጠገብ፣ ቀይ ባሕር አጠገብ ዐመፁብህ፡፡ BSB BSB: Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.
8 ULB እርሱ ግን የኃይሉን ታላቅነት ለማሳየት ስለ ስሙ አዳናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.
9 ULB ቀይ ባሕርን ገሠጸ፤ እርሱም ደረቀ በምድረ በዳ እንደሚታለፍ በጥልቅ ውሃ መካከል መራቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.
10 ULB ከባላጋራቸው እጅ አዳናቸው ከጠላትም እጅ ታደጋቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 ULB ባላጋራዎቻቸውን ውሃ ዋጣቸው ከእነርሱ አንድ አልተረፈም፡፡ BSB BSB: The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.
12 ULB ከዚያ በኋላ የተስፋ ቃሉን አመኑ በዝማሬም አመሰገኑት፡፡ BSB BSB: Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.
13 ULB ሆኖም፣ ወዲያውኑ እርሱ ያደረገውን ረሱ በምክሩም ለመሄድ አልታገሡም፡፡ BSB BSB: Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.
14 ULB በምድረ በዳ ብዙ ነገር ተመኙ፤ በበረሐም እግዚአብሔርን ተፈታተኑት፡፡ BSB BSB: They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.
15 ULB እርሱም የለመኑትን ሰጣቸው ነገር ግን የሚያኮሰምን ደዌ ሰደደባቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.
16 ULB ሰፈር ውስጥ በሙሴ ላይ የተቀደሰው የያህዌ ካህን ላይ ቀኑ፡፡ BSB BSB: In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17 ULB ምድር ተከፍታ ዳታንን ዋጠች የአቤሮንንም ሰዎች ሰለቀጠች፡፡ BSB BSB: The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.
18 ULB በመካከላቸው እሳት ነድዶ ነበልባልም ክፉዎችን ፈጅቶ አስወገደ፡፡ BSB BSB: Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.
19 ULB በኮሬብ ጥጃ ሠሩ ቀልጦ ለተሠራ ምስል ሰገዱ፡፡ BSB BSB: At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.
20 ULB ክብራቸውን ሣር በሚበላ የበሬ ምስል ለወጡ፡፡ BSB BSB: They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.
21 ULB በግብፅ ታላላቅ ነገሮች ያደረገውን ያዳናቸውን እግዚአብሔርን ረሱ፡፡ BSB BSB: They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,
22 ULB እርሱ በካም ምድር ድንቅ ሥራ በቀይ ባሕርም አስደናቂ ነገር አደረገ፡፡ BSB BSB: wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23 ULB ቁጣውን እንዲመልስ እርሱ የመረጠው ሙሴ በመካከል ባይገባ ኖሮ እነርሱን ለማጥፋት ወስኖ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: So He said He would destroy them—had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.
24 ULB መልካሚቱን ምድር ናቁ በተስፋ ቃሉም አላመኑም፡፡ BSB BSB: They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.
25 ULB ድንኳናቸው ውስጥ አጉረመረሙ ለያህዌም አልታዘዙም፡፡ BSB BSB: They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.
26 ULB ስለዚህ በምድረ በዳ እንደሚያጠፋቸው እጁን አንሥቶ ማለ፡፡ BSB BSB: So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,
27 ULB ዘሮቻቸውን በአሕዛብ መካከል ለመጣል እነርሱንም ወደ ተለያየ አገሮች እንደሚበትናቸው ማለ፡፡ BSB BSB: to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
28 ULB ብዔል ፌጐርን አመለኩ ለሙታን የተሠዋውን በሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.
29 ULB በተግባራቸውም እግዚአብሔርን አስቆጡት፤ በዚህም ምክንያት በመካከላቸው መቅሠፍት ተነሣ፡፡ BSB BSB: So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
30 ULB ፊንሐስ ተነሥቶ ጣልቃ ገባ፤ መቅሠፍቱም ተገታ፡፡ BSB BSB: But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.
31 ULB ይህም ከትውልድ እስከ ትውልድ ለዘላለም ጽድቅ ሆኖ ተቆጠረለት፡፡ BSB BSB: It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
32 ULB ደግሞም በመሪባ ውሃ አጠገብ ያህዌን አስቆጡት ሙሴም በእነርሱም ምክንያት ችግር ላይ ወደቀ፡፡ BSB BSB: At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.
33 ULB ሙሴን ስላስመረሩት ራሱን ባለ መቆጣጠር ተናገረ፡፡ BSB BSB: For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.
34 ULB እግዚአብሔር ባዘዛቸው መሠረት ሕዝቦችን ከማጥፋት ወደ ኃላ አሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
35 ULB እንዲያውም ከእነርሱ ጋር በመደባለቅ የእነርሱን መንገድ ተማሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
36 ULB ጣዖቶቻቸውን አመለኩ፤ ይህም ወጥመድ ሆነባቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
37 ULB ወንዶችና ሴቶች ልጆቻቸውን ለአጋንንት ሠዉ፡፡ BSB BSB: They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
38 ULB የወንዶችና ሴቶች ልጆቻቸውን ደም ለከነዓን ጣዖቶች መሥዋዕት በማቅረባቸው ንጹሕ ደም አፈሰሱ ምድሪቱንም አረከሱ፡፡ BSB BSB: They shed innocent blood—the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.
39 ULB እነርሱ በሥራቸው ረከሱ በድርጊታቸውም አመንዝሮች ሆኑ፡፡ BSB BSB: They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.
40 ULB ስለዚህ ያህዌ በሕዝቡ ላይ እጅግ ተቆጣ ርስቱንም ተጸየፈ፡፡ BSB BSB: So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 ULB ለአሕዛብ አሳልፎ ሰጣቸው ጠላቶቻቸውም በላያቸው ገዢዎች ሆኑባቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 ULB ጠላቶቻቸው ጨቆኑአቸው በሥልጣናቸውም ሥር አደረጓቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Their enemies oppressed them and subdued them under their hand.
43 ULB እርሱ ብዙ ጊዜ ታደጋቸው እነርሱ ግን ዐመፅ ማድረጋቸውን ገፉበት፡፡ በገዛ ኃጢአታቸው ተዋረዱ፡፡ BSB BSB: Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.
44 ULB ይህም ሆኖ እንዲረዳቸው ወደ እርሱ ሲጮኹ ጩኸታቸውን ሰማ ጭንቀታቸውንም ተመለከተ፡፡ BSB BSB: Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.
45 ULB ለእነርሱ ሲል ቃል ኪዳኑን አሰበ እንደ ምሕረቱም ብዛት ከቁጣው ተመለሰ፡፡ BSB BSB: And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.
46 ULB የሚጨቁኑአቸው ሁሉ እንዲራሩላቸው አደረገ፡፡ BSB BSB: He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.
47 ULB አምላካችን ያህዌ ሆይ፣ አድነን፤ ለቅዱስ ስምህ ምስጋና እንድናቀርብ፣ አንተን በመወደስ እንድንከብር ከሕዝቦች መካከል ሰብስበህ አምጣን፡፡ BSB BSB: Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.
48 ULB የእስራኤል አምላክ ያህዌ ከዘላለም እስከ ዘለላም ይባረክ፡፡ ሕዝብም ሁሉ አሜን ይበል፡፡ ያህዌ ይባረክ፡፡ BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
