1 ULB ስለ ያህዌ ምሕረት ለዘላለሙ እዘምራለሁ፡፡ ታማኝነትህንም ለሚመጣው ትውልድ እናገራለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the loving devotion of the LORD forever; with my mouth I will proclaim Your faithfulness to all generations.
2 ULB ምሕረትህን ለዘላለም እንደምትመሠርት ታማኝነትህንም በሰማያት እንደምታጸና እናገራለሁና BSB BSB: For I have said, “Loving devotion is built up forever; in the heavens You establish Your faithfulness.”
3 ULB አንተም እንዲህ ብለሃል፣ «ከመረጥሁት ጋር ኪዳን አድርጌአለሁ፤ ለባርያዬ ለዳዊት ምዬአለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: You said, “I have made a covenant with My chosen one, I have sworn to David My servant:
4 ULB ዘርህን ለዘላለም አተክላለሁ ዙፋንህንም በትውልድ ዘመን ሁሉ አጸናለሁ፡፡» ሴላ BSB BSB: ‘I will establish your offspring forever and build up your throne for all generations.’” Selah
5 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ፣ ሰማያት ድንቅ ሥራህን ያመሰግናሉ ጽድቅህም በቅዱሳን ጉባኤ ይወደሳል፡፡ BSB BSB: The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD—Your faithfulness as well—in the assembly of the holy ones.
6 ULB በላይ በሰማያት ከያህዌ ጋር ማን ሊስተካከል ይችላል? ከአማልክት ልጆችስ መካከል እንደ ያህዌ ያለ ማን ነው? BSB BSB: For who in the skies can compare with the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD?
7 ULB እርሱ በቅዱሳኑ ጉባኤ መካከል እጅግ የተፈራ ነው፤ በዙሪያው ካሉትም ሁሉ ታላቅና አስፈሪ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: In the council of the holy ones, God is greatly feared, and awesome above all who surround Him.
8 ULB የሰራዊት ጌታ ያህዌ ሆይ፣ እንደ አንተ ያለ ኃያል ማነው? ታማኝነትህም ከቦሃል፡፡ BSB BSB: O LORD God of Hosts, who is like You? O mighty LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You.
9 ULB የባሕሩን ቁጣ በሥልጣንህ ታዝዛለህ ማዕበሉንም ጸጥ ታደርጋለህ፡፡ BSB BSB: You rule the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them.
10 ULB አንተ ረዓብን ቀጥቅጠህ ገደልኸው በታላቁ ኃይልህ ጠላቶችህን በተንሃቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: You crushed Rahab like a carcass; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
11 ULB ሰማያት የአንተ ናቸው ምድርም የአንተ ናት፡፡ አንተ ዓለምንና በውስጧ ያሉትን ሁሉ ፈጠርህ፡፡ BSB BSB: The heavens are Yours, and also the earth. The earth and its fullness You founded.
12 ULB ሰሜኑን ደቡቡንም አንተ ፈጠርህ ታቦርና አርሞንዔም በስምህ ደስ ይላቸዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: North and south You created; Tabor and Hermon shout for joy at Your name.
13 ULB አንተ ክንደ ብርቱ ነህ እጅህ ኃያል ናት፤ ቀኝ እጅህም ከፍ ከፍ ያለች ናት፡፡ BSB BSB: Mighty is Your arm; strong is Your hand. Your right hand is exalted.
14 ULB ጽድቅና ፍትሕ የዙፋንህ መሠረት ናቸው ምሕረትና ታማኝነት በፊት ይሄዳሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and faithfulness go before You.
15 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ፣ በፊት ብርሃን የሚሄድ አንተንም የሚያመልክ ሕዝብ ቡሩክ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: Blessed are those who know the joyful sound, who walk, O LORD, in the light of Your presence.
16 ULB ቀኑን ሙሉ በስምህ ደስ ይላቸዋል በጽድቅህም ከፍ ከፍ ይላሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: They rejoice in Your name all day long, and in Your righteousness they exult.
17 ULB ገናናው ኃይልህ ብርታት ይሰጣቸዋል በሞገስህም ድል ተቀዳጀን፡፡ BSB BSB: For You are the glory of their strength, and by Your favor our horn is exalted.
18 ULB ጋሻችን የያህዌ ነው ንጉሣችንም የራሱ የእስራኤል ቅዱስ ነውና፡፡ BSB BSB: Surely our shield belongs to the LORD, and our king to the Holy One of Israel.
19 ULB ከረጅም ጊዜ በፊት በራእይ ለሕዝብህ ተናገርህ እንዲህም አልህ፤ «ኃያሉን ሰው ሥልጣን አጐናጸፍሁ፤ ከሕዝብ መካከል እኔ የመረጥሁትን አስነሣሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: You once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a warrior; I have exalted one chosen from the people.
20 ULB ባርያዬ ዳዊትን መረጥሁት በተቀደሰው ዘይቴም ቀባሁት BSB BSB: I have found My servant David; with My sacred oil I have anointed him.
21 ULB እጄ ይደግፈዋል ክንዴም ያበረታዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: My hand will sustain him; surely My arm will strengthen him.
22 ULB ጠላት አይረታውም ክፉ ሰውም አያሸንፈውም፡፡ BSB BSB: No enemy will exact tribute; no wicked man will oppress him.
23 ULB ጠላቶቹን በፊቱ አደቃለሁ፤ ባላንጣዎቹንም እገድላለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.
24 ULB እውነቴና ታማኝነቴ ከእርሱ ጋር ይሆናል በስሜ ድል ይቀዳጃል፡፡ BSB BSB: My faithfulness and loving devotion will be with him, and through My name his horn will be exalted.
25 ULB እጁን በባሕሮች ቀኝ እጁንም በወንዞች ላይ አደርጋለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: I will set his hand over the sea, and his right hand upon the rivers.
26 ULB እርሱም፣ «አንተ አባቴ፣ አምላኬ የድነቴም ዐለት» ብሎ ይጠራኛል፡፡ BSB BSB: He will call to Me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock of my salvation.’
27 ULB እኔም ደግሞ በኩሬ አደርገዋለሁ ከምድር ነገሥታትም ሁሉ በላይ ከፍ ይላል፡፡ BSB BSB: I will indeed appoint him as My firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
28 ULB ምሕረቴንም ለዘላለም ለእርሱ እዘረጋለሁ ለእርሱ ጋር ያደረግሁትም ኪዳን ለዘላለም ጸንቶ ይኖራል፡፡ BSB BSB: I will forever preserve My loving devotion for him, and My covenant with him will stand fast.
29 ULB የዘር ሐረጉን ለዘላለም ዙፋኑንም በሰማያት ዕድሜ ልክ አጸናለሁ BSB BSB: I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.
30 ULB ልጆቹ ሕጌን ቢተው፣ ሥርዐቴን ባይጠብቁ፣ BSB BSB: If his sons forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments,
31 ULB ደንቤን ቢተላለፉ፣ ትእዛዞቼ ባያከብሩ፣ BSB BSB: if they violate My statutes and fail to keep My commandments,
32 ULB ኃጢአታቸውን በበትር፣ በደላቸውንም በአለንጋ እቀጣለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: I will attend to their transgression with the rod, and to their iniquity with stripes.
33 ULB ለእርሱ ያለኝ ፍቅር ግን አይቋረጥም ታማኝነቴንም አላጓድልበትም፡፡ BSB BSB: But I will not withdraw My loving devotion from him, nor ever betray My faithfulness.
34 ULB ኪዳኔን አላፈርስም ከአፌ የወጣውን አላጥፍም፡፡ BSB BSB: I will not violate My covenant or alter the utterance of My lips.
35 ULB አንዴ በቅድስናዬ ምያለሁና ለዳዊት አልዋሽም፡፡ BSB BSB: Once and for all I have sworn by My holiness—I will not lie to David—
36 ULB ልጆቹ ለዘላለም ዙፋኑም በፀሐይ ዕድሜ ልክ ጸንቶ ይኖራል፡፡ BSB BSB: his offspring shall endure forever, and his throne before Me like the sun,
37 ULB በሰማይ ታማኝ ምስክር ሆና እንደምትኖረው እንደ ጨረቃ እርሱም ለዘላለም ይመሠረታል፡፡ ሴላ BSB BSB: like the moon, established forever, a faithful witness in the sky.” Selah
38 ULB አሁን ግን ናቅኸው፤ ጣልኸውም በቀባኸውም ንጉሥ ላይ ተቆጣህ፡፡ BSB BSB: Now, however, You have spurned and rejected him; You are enraged by Your anointed one.
39 ULB ለባርያህ የገባኸውን ኪዳን አፈረስህ የክብር ዘውዱን መሬት ላይ ጣልህ፡፡ BSB BSB: You have renounced the covenant with Your servant and sullied his crown in the dust.
40 ULB ቅጥሮቹን ሁሉ አፈረስህ ምሽጉንም ደመሰስህ፡፡ BSB BSB: You have broken down all his walls; You have reduced his strongholds to rubble.
41 ULB ዐላፊ አግዳሚ ሁሉ ዘረፈው ለጐረቤቶቹም መዘባበቻ ሆነ፡፡ BSB BSB: All who pass by plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.
42 ULB የጠላቶቹን ቀኝ እጅ ከፍ አደረግህ ባላንጣዎቹም ሁሉ ደስ አላቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: You have exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
43 ULB የሰይፉን ስለት አጠፍህ በጦርነትም ጊዜ አልረዳኸውም፡፡ BSB BSB: You have bent the edge of his sword and have not sustained him in battle.
44 ULB የክብሩን ውበት አጠፋህበት ዙፋኑንም መሬት ላይ ጣልህበት፡፡ BSB BSB: You have ended his splendor and cast his throne to the ground.
45 ULB የወጣትነት ዘመኑን አሳጠርኸው ዕፍረትንም አከናነብኸው፡፡ BSB BSB: You have cut short the days of his youth; You have covered him with shame. Selah
46 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ፣ ይህ እስከ መቼ ነው? ራስህንስ ለዘላለም ትሰውራለህን? ቁጣህስ እንደ እሳት የሚነደው እስከ መቼ ነው? BSB BSB: How long, O LORD? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your wrath keep burning like fire?
47 ULB ዕድሜዬ ምን ያህል አጭር እንደ ሆነ አስብ፤ የሰውን ልጆች እንዲሁ ለከንቱ ፈጠርሃቸው! BSB BSB: Remember the briefness of my lifespan! For what futility You have created all men!
48 ULB ሞትን ሳያይ ሕያው ሆኖ የሚኖር ማን ነው? ሕይወቱን ከሲኦል እጅ ማዳን የሚችል ማነው? ሴላ BSB BSB: What man can live and never see death? Can he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah
49 ULB ጌታ ሆይ፣ በታማኝነትህ ለዳዊት የማልህለት የቀድሞ ምሕረትህ የታለ? BSB BSB: Where, O Lord, is Your loving devotion of old, which You faithfully swore to David?
50 ULB ጌታ ሆይ፣ ባርያህ ላይ የደረሰውን ፌዝ የብዙ ሰዎችንም ስድብ እንደ ታቀፍሁ አስብ፡፡ BSB BSB: Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, which I bear in my heart from so many people—
51 ULB ያህዌ ሆይ፣ ጠላቶችህ የሚሳደቡትን፣ አንተ የቀባኸውን ሰው ርምጃ የነቀፉበትን ሁኔታ አስብ፡፡ BSB BSB: how Your enemies have taunted, O LORD, and have mocked every step of Your anointed one!
52 ULB ያህዌ ለዘላለም ይባረክ፡፡ አሜን፣ አሜን BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and amen.
