1. 1ARSTأنا يوحنّا، أكتب إليكم عن يسوع، كلمة الله الذي يعطي الحياة. كان موجودًا قبل أن يوجد أيّ شيء آخر. نحن الرسل استمعنا إليه عندما كان يعلّم الناس. رأيناه بشكل شخصيّ. نظرنا إليه ولمسناه. لذلك يمكننا أن نشهد بأنّه كان إنسانًا حقيقيًّا،BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2ARSTلأنّه هو الذي يحيا دومًا، جاء هنا إلى الأرض ورأيناه، فنحن نعلنه لكم بوضوح. ذلك الذي لطالما كان موجودًا، وقد كان من قبل مع أبيه في السماء، جاء هنا إلينا.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3ARSTنريدكم أن تشاركونا الحياة، ولذلك نحن نُعلِن لكم ما رأينا يسوع يفعله وما سمعنا يسوع يقوله. إن آمنتم به فستحيون معنا، كما نحيا نحن مع الله أبينا، ومع ابنه يسوع المسيح.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4ARSTأكتب إليكم عن هذه الأمور لكي تعرفوا أنّها حقيقيّة، ونتيجة لذلك سنكون سعداء بشكل كامل معًا.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5ARSTالرسالة التي سمعناها من يسوع ونعلنها لكم هي هذه: إنّ الله يفعل دائمًا ما هو صواب، ولا يفعل أبدًا، أيّ شيء خاطئ. إنّه كنور نقيّ لا ظلمة فيه البتّة.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6ARSTإذا قلنا أنّنا نتشارك الحياة مع الله، ولكنّنا نحيا بطريقة شرّيرة، فنحن نكذب، ولا نحيا بصورة صادقة، وكأنّنا نحيا في الظلام،BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7ARSTإذا قلنا إنّنا نتشارك الحياة مع الله، ولكنّنا نحيا بطريقة شرّيرة، فنحن نكذب، ولا نحيا بصورة صادقة، وكأنّنا نحيا في الظلام،BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8ARSTإذا قلنا إنّنا لا نرتكب الخطيئة، فنحن نخدع أنفسنا، ونرفض أن نصدّق الأشياء الحقيقيّة التي يقولها الله بشأننا.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9ARSTلكن يفعل الله دائمًا ما يقول إنّه سيفعله، وما يفعله دائمًا هو الشيء الصائب. لذلك إذا اعترفنا له بأنّنا أخطأنا ورفضنا تلك الخطيئة، فسيغفر لنا خطايانا وسيحرّرنا من ذنب كلّ ما أخطأنا فيه.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10ARSTلأنّ الله يقول إنّ الجميع قد أخطأوا، فإذا قلنا إنّنا لم نخطئ، فنحن بذلك نُكذّب الله! ونرفض ما قد قاله الله بشأننا!BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
