1 ARST أنا بولس، أرسلني المسيح يسوع لِأُمثِّله، لأنّ الله أراد ذلك. أكتب هذه الرسالة إلى الذين خصّهم الله لذاته، ويعيشون في مدينة أفسس ، وهم مُخلصون للمسيح يسوع. BSB BSB: Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 ARST لِيستمرّ الله أبونا، وربّنا يسوع المسيح، في أن يكونا لطيفَين معكُم، ويجعلانِكُم مطمئنّين.BSB BSB: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 ARST لِنُبارك الله، أبا ربّنا يسوع المسيح! فقد باركَنا بكلّ بركة روحيّة آتيةٍ من السماء، لأنّنا ننتمي إلى المسيح. BSB BSB: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms.
5 ARST قرّر الله منذ زمن بعيد أن يتبنّانا بيسوع المسيح، وقد سرَّه أن يفعل هذا، ففعل ما أراده. BSB BSB: He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will,
6 ARST لذلك نُبارك الله الآن، لأنّه كان لطيفًا معنا بشكل مُدهش، وبشكل يفوق ما نستحقّه، إذ باركنا من خلال ابنه الذي يُحبّه. BSB BSB: to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.
7 ARST حين مات يسوع عِوَضًا عنّا، دفع ثمن خطايانا، أي أنّ الله غفر لنا ذنوبنا عندما مات يسوع لأجلنا، لأنّه لطيف بشكلٍ سخيّ جدًّا. BSB BSB: In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
8 ARST عرفَ الله أنّنا سنحتاج إلى أن يكون لطيفًا بشكل فائق بنا بهذه الطريقة، لأنّ الله يعلم كلّ شيء، وهو حكيم بشكل كامل. BSB BSB: that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
9 ARST بهذه الطريقة، كشف الله لنا الآن عن خطّته، التي لم يكشفها لأحد من قبل، وهي الخطّة التي سُرَّ بأن يُحقّقها من خلال عمل المسيح. BSB BSB: And He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ
10 ARST وفي هذه الخطّة، عندما يحين الوقت المناسب، سيوحّد المسيح كلّ شيء في نفسه، لكي يصير كلّ ما في السماء، وكلّ ما على الأرض، خاضعًا لسلطانه ويَنتمي له. BSB BSB: as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ.
11 ARST بسبب ما فعله المسيح، اختارنا الله لنكون خاصّته. لقد خطّط لهذا منذ وقت بعيد، وهو يفعل دائمًا ما يشاء أن يفعله. BSB BSB: In Him we were also chosen as God’s own, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything by the counsel of His will,
12 ARST في خطّة الله، نحن اليهود الذين كنّا أوّل مَن يؤمن بالمسيح، سنحيا لنُمجّد الله، لأنّه عظيم جدًّا. BSB BSB: in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, would be for the praise of His glory.
13 ARST ثمّ أنتم الذين لستم يهودًا، سمعتم أيضًا الرسالة الحقيقيّة، أي الخبر السارّ عن الطريقة التي يخلّصكم بها الله، فآمنتم بالمسيح، وعندما فعلتم ذلك، ختمكم الله لتكونوا منتمين للمسيح بأن أعطاكم الروح القدُس، كما وعدَ من قَبل. BSB BSB: And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvation—you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14 ARST الروحُ القُدُس هو كعربون يُثبت أنّ الله سيمنحنا كلَّ شيء آخر وعد أن يمنحنا إيَّاه في ذلك الوقت الذي سيمنحنا فيه كلّ ما أعدّه لنا. لنُمجّد الله لأنّه عظيم جدًّا! BSB BSB: who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.
15 ARST وبما أنّ الله قد فعل كلّ هذا من أجلكم، ولأنّ الناس أخبروني كيف تؤمنون بالربّ يسوع، وكم تحبّون جميع المؤمنين كثيرًا، BSB BSB: For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 ARST أشكر الله دائمًا من أجلكم، وأتكلّم مع الله عنكم عندما أصلّي له. BSB BSB: I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,
17 ARST أُصلّي أن يمنحكم الله، أبو ربّنا يسوع المسيح، الآب المجيد، روحه، ليجعلَكم حكماء، ويكشف لكم الله لكي تستمرّوا في أن تعرفوه بشكل أفضل. BSB BSB: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in your knowledge of Him.
18 ARST أُصلّي أن يمكِّنكم الله من أن تروا الأمور كما هي بشكلها الحقيقيّ، لكي تعرفوا ما هي الخطّة العجيبة التي أعدّها الله لنا، لأنّه دعانا لنكون شعبه. وأُصلّي أن تعرفوا كم هي رائعة ووافرة تلك الأشياء التي وعد أن يمنحها لنا، ولجميع المؤمنين. BSB BSB: I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 ARST أُصلّي أن تعرفوا كم يعمل الله من أجلنا بطريقة قويَّة جدًّا، نحن الذين نؤمن بالمسيح. فهو يعمل بقوّة شديدة من أجلنا، BSB BSB: and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength,
20 ARST كما عمل بقوّة شديدةٍ حين جعل المسيح يحيا مرّةً أُخرى، ورفعه ليجلس في المكان الأسمى في السماء. BSB BSB: which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 ARST يملك المسيح هناك بسلطانٍ أعظم من كلّ حاكمٍ، ومن كلّ روحٍ قويّة، ومن كلّ رتبةٍ تملك أيّ سلطان، ومن كلّ كائنٍ يكرّمه الناس. يملك عليهم جميعًا، ليس في هذا الزمان فقط، بل إلى الأبد أيضًا. BSB BSB: far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
22 ARST جعل الله كلّ شيء خاضعًا للمسيح، وعيّن المسيح رئيسًا على كلّ شيء، بين جميع المؤمنين في كلّ مكان. BSB BSB: And God put everything under His feet and made Him head over everything for the church,
23 ARST نحن المؤمنون نرتبط بالمسيح كما ترتبط أعضاء الجسد برأسه، فهو يُكمّل ما ينقُص جميع المؤمنين، تمامًا كما يُكمّل كلّ شيء في كلّ مكان. BSB BSB: which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
