1 ARST ثمّ ظهر شيء مهمّ جدًّا في السماء. لقد كانت امرأة ترتدي الشمس كلباس لها، وتقف على القمر، وعلى رأسها إكليل مصنوعٌ من 12 كوكبًا. BSB BSB: And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed in the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
2 ARST كانت على وشك أن تنجب طفلًا، وتصرخ من الألم لأنَّه كان يصعب عليها جدًّا أن تلد طفلها. BSB BSB: She was pregnant and crying out in the pain and agony of giving birth.
3 ARST ثمّ ظهر شيء آخر مهمّ في السماء. كان تنّينًا ضخمًا لونهُ أحمر. كان له سبعة رؤوس وعشرة قرون، وكان على كلّ رأس من رؤوسه تاج ملكيّ. BSB BSB: Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads.
4 ARST جرّ ذيل التنّين ثلث النجوم من السماء ورماها على الأرض، ووقفَ التنّين نفسه أمام المرأة التي كانت على وشك أن تلد ليأكل طفلها حال ولادته. BSB BSB: His tail swept a third of the stars from the sky, hurling them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, ready to devour her child as soon as she gave birth.
5 ARST ثمّ ولدت المرأة ابنًا. كان مقدّرًا له أن يحكم جميع مجموعات الناس بسلطة كاملة. فاختطف الله هذا الطفل وأصعده إلى عرشه في السماء. BSB BSB: And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
6 ARST أمّا المرأة فقد هربت إلى منطقة مهجورة. كان الله قد أعدّ لها مكانًا هناك ليعتني بها الناس مدّة 1,260 يومًا. BSB BSB: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place for her to be nourished for 1,260 days.
7 ARST ثمّ بدأت معركة في السماء. قاتل ميخائيل والملائكة الذين كان يقودهم ضدّ التنّين. حارب التنّين وملائكته ضدّ ميخائيل وملائكته. BSB BSB: Then a war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.
8 ARST لكنّ التنّين خسر المعركة، ولم يسمح الله للتنّين وملائكته أن يبقوا في السماء بعدها. BSB BSB: But the dragon was not strong enough, and no longer was any place found in heaven for him and his angels.
9 ARST بدلًا من ذلك، طرد الله التنّين الضخم من السماء. هذا التنّين هو الروح الشريّر ذاته الذي ظهرَ على هيئة حيّة منذ زمن بعيد، واسمه إبليس والشيطان، الذي يخدع كلّ من يعيش في العالم، وقد طرحَهُ الله هو وجميع ملائكته إلى الأرض. BSB BSB: And the great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
10 ARST ثمّ سمعتُ شخصًا في السماء يصرخ بصوتٍ عالٍ: «الآن خلّص إلهنا شعبه بقوّته، وهو يملُك على جميع الناس! والآن قد بدأ مسيحه بأن يملُك! ذلك لأنَّ الله قد طرح من السماء المشتكي على إخوتنا المؤمنين. لقد كان يأتي إلى الله باستمرار ويشتكي على المؤمنين بأنّهم يفعلون أشياء خاطئة BSB BSB: And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down—he who accuses them day and night before our God.
11 ARST لكنْ، غلبه إخوتنا المؤمنون. لأنّ الخروف سفك دمه كذبيحة عنهم، ولأنّهم تكلّموا بالحقيقة عنه للآخرين. لم يرغبوا في أن يبقوا أحياء فحسب. بل لو لزم الأمر، كانوا مستعدّين أن يموتوا من أجل أن يقولوا الحقّ عنه. BSB BSB: They have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death.
12 ARST لذلك يجب أن تفرحوا جميعًا أيّها الذين تعيشون في السماء! أمّا أنتم أيّها الناس الذين تعيشون على الأرض وتسافرون في البحر، فستحدث لكم أمور فظيعة لأنَّ إبليس الآن بينكم. إنّه غاضب جدًّا لأنّه يعلم أنّه ليس لديه سوى وقت قصير قبل أن يدينه الله ويعاقبه». BSB BSB: Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea; with great fury the devil has come down to you, knowing he has only a short time.”
13 ARST عندما أدرك التنّين أنّ الله قد طرحه إلى الأرض، حاول أن يهاجم المرأة التي ولدت ابنًا. BSB BSB: And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
14 ARST لكنّ الله أعطى المرأة جناحين كجناحيْ نسر كبير جدًّا. مكّناها من أن تطير بعيدًا إلى منطقة مهجورة. كان الله قد أعدّ لها مكانًا آمنًا هناك. في ذلك المكان، اعتنى الله بها مدّة ثلاث سنوات ونصف. لم تتمكّن الحيّة، أي التنّين، من أن تصل إليها هناك. BSB BSB: But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle to fly from the presence of the serpent to her place in the wilderness, where she was nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.
15 ARST ثمَّ سكَبَت الحيّة طُوفَانًا من الماء من فمِها نَحوَ المَرأَة. كانت تحاول أن تجرفها بالماء. BSB BSB: Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river to overtake the woman and sweep her away in the torrent.
16 ARST لكنَّ الأرض ساعدت المرأة. ففتحتِ الأرضُ حفرةً كبيرةً ونزلَ الطوفانُ الذي سكبهُ التنّينُ من فمهِ إلى الحفرة، BSB BSB: But the earth helped the woman and opened its mouth to swallow up the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth.
17 ARST فغضبَ التِنِّينُ من المرأة غضبًا شَدِيدًا، فذهبَ ليُحارِب بقيَّة أولادها، وهم الناس الذين يطيعون وصايا الله والذين يتكلّمون بالحقيقة عن يسوع. ثمّ وقف التنّين على شاطئ البحر. BSB BSB: And the dragon was enraged at the woman and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea.
