1 ARST يا تيطس، استمرَّ في إخبار المؤمنين أنَّ عليهم أن يطيعوا مَن يحكمونهم. عليهم أن يكونوا مستعدِّين لعمل الخير كلَّما أمكنَهم ذلك. BSB BSB: Remind the believers to submit to rulers and authorities, to be obedient and ready for every good work,
2 ARST عليهم ألَّا يقولوا شيئًا مهينًا عن أحد، وعليهم أن يكونوا مسالمين، وأن يُعاملوا الجميع بلُطفٍ وكأنَّ الآخَرين أهمُّ منهم. BSB BSB: to malign no one, and to be peaceable and gentle, showing full consideration to everyone.
3 ARST علينا أن نتذكَّر ذلك الوقت الذي كنَّا نحن فيه أغبياء رافضين لطاعة الله. وقتها أخذَتْنا شهواتُنا وأهواؤنا في الاتِّجاه الخاطئ، وخدمناها كأنَّها كانت سادتنا. كُنَّا نحسد بعضنا بعضًا باستمرار ونفعل أمورًا سيِّئة أُخرى. جعَلْنا الناسَ يكرهوننا، وكرهنا نحن بعضنا بعضًا. BSB BSB: For at one time we too were foolish, disobedient, misled, and enslaved to all sorts of desires and pleasures—living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
4 ARST لكنْ عندما أظهر الله لنا أنَّه كان يتصرَّفُ بحنانٍ ليخلِّصنا بسبب محبَّته لنا، BSB BSB: But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
5 ARST خلَّصَنا بتجديد الروح القدس وإزالة خطايانا وكأنَّه غسلَنا، ومكَّنَنا من بدْءِ حياتنا مرَّةً أُخرى، لنعيشَ حياةً جديدةً من أجل الله. وهو لم يُخلِّصْنا لأنَّنا نفعل الخير، بل خلَّصَنا لأنَّه رحيم. BSB BSB: He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 ARST أعطانا الله بسخاءٍ روحَه القدُّوسَ عندما خلَّصَنا يسوعُ المسيح. BSB BSB: This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 ARST وقد أعلنَ الله بواسطة هذه الهبة المجَّانيَّة أنَّه جرى تصحيح كلِّ الأوضاع بيننا وبينه، وهو أعطانا الروحَ القدسَ حتَّى نشتركَ في الحياة الأبديَّة معه، وفي كلِّ ما لدى الربِّ يسوعَ ليَمنحَنا إيَّاه. BSB BSB: so that, having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs with the hope of eternal life.
8 ARST هذا كلامٌ يستطيعُ الجميع أن يثقوا به. أريدُك أنْ تُشدِّدَ باستمرارٍ على هذه الحقائق حتَّى يتسنَّى للذين آمنوا بالله أن يكرِّسوا أنفسَهم دائمًا لعملِ الأمور الصالحة والمفيدة للآخَرين. إنَّ تلك الحقائق سامية ونافعة للجميع. BSB BSB: This saying is trustworthy. And I want you to emphasize these things, so that those who have believed God will take care to devote themselves to good deeds. These things are excellent and profitable for the people.
9 ARST لكنْ سيرغب الكثير من الناس في الجدَل معك حول أمورٍ لا معنى لها، مثل سلاسل نَسَبِ أسلافِ اليهود. وسيرغبون أيضًا في الجَدَل والنزاع معك حول الشرائع الدينيَّة. ابتعدْ عن كلِّ ذلك لأنَّ مِثْل هذه الأمور عديمةُ الفائدة، ولا تساعدك بأيِّ شكلٍ من الأشكال. BSB BSB: But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the law, because these things are pointless and worthless.
10 ARST إذا أصرَّ أيُّ شخصٍ على المشاركةِ في هذه النشاطات المثيرةِ للانقسام بعد أنْ حذَّرْتَه مرَّةً أوْ مرَّتَينِ بالتوقُّف عنها، عند ذلك توقَّفْ عن التعامُلِ مع ذلك الشخص؛ BSB BSB: Reject a divisive man after a first and second admonition,
11 ARST لأنَّك تعلمُ أنَّ مثلَ هذا قد رفضَ الحقّ، وهو يُخطئ ويَدينُ نفسَه. BSB BSB: knowing that such a man is corrupt and sinful; he is self-condemned.
12 ARST عندما أُرسِلُ إليكَ أرتيماس أو تيخيكس، ابذلْ كلَّ ما تستطيع فِعلَه لتأتيَ إليَّ إلى مدينة نيكوبوليس؛ لأنَّني قرَّرْتُ أن أُمضِيَ فصْلَ الشِّتاء في هذه المدينة. BSB BSB: As soon as I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, because I have decided to winter there.
13 ARST افعلْ كلَّ ما في وُسعك لإعدادِ زيناس، خبير الشريعة، وأبُلُّوس لرحلتهما، واحرِصْ على أنْ يكونَ لديهما كلُّ ما يحتاجان إليه. BSB BSB: Do your best to equip Zenas the lawyer and Apollos, so that they will have everything they need.
14 ARST بالطريقة نفسها، احرِصْ أن تتدرَّبَ جماعَتُنا على أن تنشغلَ بممارسة الأعمالِ الحَسَنة للَّذين يحتاجون إلى المساعدة. بفِعْلهم هذا، سيعيشون بطريقةٍ نافعةٍ من أجل الله. BSB BSB: And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet the pressing needs of others, so that they will not be unfruitful.
15 ARST يُسلِّم عليك، يا تيطس، كلُّ الذين معي. أوصِلْ تحيَّاتنا إلى كلِّ مَن يحبُّنا من المؤمنين الذين عندك. وأُصلِّي أن يستَمرَّ الله في أن يكونَ مُحسِنًا لكم جميعًا. BSB BSB: All who are with me send you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you.
