1 ULB প্ৰভু যিহোৱাই মোক এই দর্শন দেখুৱালে: “চোৱা, যেতিয়া দ্বিতীয়বাৰ শস্য বাঢ়িবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰিলে, সেই সময়ত তেওঁ কাকতি ফৰিংবোৰ সৃষ্টি কৰিছিল। ৰজাই প্রথম শস্য দোৱাৰ পাছত এইটো আছিল দ্বিতীয় শস্যৰ খেতি। BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.
2 ULB সেই কাকতি ফৰিংবোৰে যেতিয়া দেশৰ সকলো সেউজীয়া শাক-পাচলি খাই শেষ কৰি পেলাইছিল তেতিয়া মই মিনতি কৰিলোঁ, “হে প্ৰভু যিহোৱা, অনুগ্রহ কৰি ক্ষমা কৰক; যাকোব নো কেনেকৈ জীয়াই থাকিব? তেওঁযে অতি সৰু।” BSB BSB: And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
3 ULB তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই এই বিষয়ত মন সলনি কৰি ক’লে, “এইদৰে নঘটিব”। BSB BSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.
4 ULB প্ৰভু যিহোৱাই মোক এইদৰে দর্শন দিলে: যিহোৱা ঈশ্বৰে বিচাৰৰ অর্থে অগ্নিক মাতিলে। সেই অগ্নিয়ে মহাসমুদ্রক শুকুৱাই পেলালে আৰু ভূমিকো গ্ৰাস কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে। BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
5 ULB তেতিয়া মই কলোঁ, “হে প্ৰভু যিহোৱা, “মই অনুৰোধ কৰিছোঁ, আপুনি ক্ষান্ত হওঁক, যাকোব নো কেনেকৈ জীয়াই থাকিব? তেওঁযে অতি সৰু।” BSB BSB: Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
6 ULB তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই এই বিষয়ত মন সলনি কৰি ক’লে, “এইদৰে নঘটিব।” BSB BSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.
7 ULB তেওঁ মোক পুণৰ এটা দর্শন দিলে: প্ৰভুৱে এডাল ওলোম-জৰী হাতত লৈ, ওলোমৰ জোখ লৈ তৈয়াৰ কৰা এটা দেৱালৰ ওচৰত থিয় হৈ আছিল। BSB BSB: This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.

9 ULB ইচহাকৰ বংশৰ ওখ ঠাইৰ মঠবোৰ ধ্বংস হ’ব আৰু ইস্রায়েলৰ পূণ্যধামবোৰ উচ্ছন্ন হ’ব; মই তৰোৱাল লৈ যাৰবিয়ামৰ বংশৰ বিৰুদ্ধে উঠিম।” BSB BSB: The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”

The land cannot bear all his words,
11 ULB আমোচে এই কথা কৈছে: ‘যাৰবিয়াম তৰোৱালৰ আঘাতৰ দ্বাৰাই মৃত্যু হ’ব; ইস্ৰায়েলে অৱশ্যেই নিজ দেশৰ পৰা বন্দী হৈ আন দেশলৈ যাব লাগিব।’” BSB BSB: for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
12 ULB অমচিয়াই আমোচক ক’লে, “হে ভাৱবাদী, যোৱা! তুমি ইয়াৰ পৰা যিহূদা দেশলৈ গুচি যোৱা। তাতেই ভাৱবাদী হিচাবে জীৱিকা উলিওৱা আৰু তাতেই ভাৱবাণী প্ৰচাৰ কৰা। BSB BSB: And Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah; earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
13 ULB কিন্তু বৈৎ-এলত হলে পুণৰ ভাৱবাণী প্ৰচাৰ নকৰিবা; কিয়নো এই ঠাই ৰজাৰ পুণ্যধাম আৰু এক ৰাজকীয় মন্দিৰ।” BSB BSB: But never prophesy at Bethel again, because it is the sanctuary of the king and the temple of the kingdom.”
14 ULB তাতে আমোচে উত্তৰ দি অমচিয়াক কলে, “মই ভাৱবাদীও নহওঁ নাইবা ভাৱবাদীৰ শিষ্যও নহওঁ। মই এজন পশু-ৰখীয়া আৰু ডিমৰু গছবোৰৰ আপডাল কৰিছিলো। BSB BSB: “I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.
15 ULB যিহোৱাই মোক ভেড়াৰ জাক চৰোৱা কার্যৰ পৰা আনি মোক কলে, ‘তুমি যোৱা আৰু মোৰ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলৰ আগত গৈ ভাৱবাণী প্ৰচাৰ কৰা।’ BSB BSB: But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
16 ULB তেনেহ’লে এতিয়া আপুনি যিহোৱাৰ বাক্য শুনক; আপুনি কৈছে, ‘ইস্ৰায়েলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ভাৱবাণী প্ৰচাৰ নকৰিবা আৰু ইচহাকৰ বংশৰ বিৰুদ্ধেও প্রচাৰ নকৰিবা।’ BSB BSB: Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17 ULB সেইবাবে যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: ‘তোমাৰ ভাৰ্য্যা নগৰখনৰ মাজত বেশ্যা হব, তোমাৰ ল’ৰা-ছোৱালী তৰোৱালৰ দ্বাৰাই পতিত হব, তোমাৰ মাটি জুখি জুখি আনৰ মাজত ভগাই দিয়া হব; তুমি নিজেও এক অশুচি দেশত মৰিবা, ইস্ৰায়েলক নিজ দেশৰ পৰা দেশান্তৰিত হব।’” BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
