BSB BSB: For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
18 PBDK Jari, Allah kaahi ta tu'u ga hie pun sa nakangakan-E, dan ngulah kakape atei hie pin sa nakahandak-E. BSB BSB: Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.

21 PBDK Inonkah tukang tembikar bakoi bahak amau tane liat; atawa ngulah neke butup tane sa sameh suatu bejana sa na pakai mat hal sa mulia, dan bejana lain sa na pakai mat hal sa hina? BSB BSB: Does not the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special occasions and another for common use?
22 PBDK Kala awe jaka Allah, meskipun bapangakan mat nutui murka-E dan menyatakan kuasa-E, haot nanggung kesabaran sa hante terhadap bejana-bejana karikang-E sa haot na persiapkan mat kebinasaan? BSB BSB: What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction?
23 PBDK Aye ngulah e mat menyatakan katatauan kemuliaan-E amau bejana-bejana kaahi tatau-E, sa haot na persiapkan-E mat kemuliaan, BSB BSB: What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory—

29 PBDK Sameh leon di nubuat ulah Yesaya: "Jaka Tuhan Semesta Alam bakoi nanan ga takam keturunan, takam haot jari sameh leon Sodom dan menyerupai Gomora." Yesaya 1:9. BSB BSB: It is just as Isaiah foretold: “Unless the Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have resembled Gomorrah.”
