BSB BSB: But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
9 PBPE Sadi aku welum puang uweng Hukum Taurat, kude dami hukum yiru hawi, dusa jari welum balalu aku matei; BSB BSB: Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.
10 PBPE nelang parentah yiri, sa nabahum nampan ngami pamelum, justru ngami pampatei. BSB BSB: So I discovered that the very commandment that was meant to bring life actually brought death.
11 PBPE Daya dusa ngalap kasampatan itetei hukum yiru nampan ngakal palus munu aku. BSB BSB: For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.
13 PBPE Amun kalahie, inunkah sa maeh yiru ngenei pampatei ma aku?Budas puang! Dusa sa ngenei pampatei hang wuang aku itetei inun sa maeh nampan patantarang amun dusa ru dusa, balalu mitah hukum yiru dusa lentah dinung. Pihual hang wuang diriku BSB BSB: Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But in order that sin might be exposed as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
14 PBPE Takam karasa amun Hukum Taurat ru basifat rohani, kude aku basifat jasmani, naari hang kapit dusa. BSB BSB: We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.
15 PBPE Daya aku puang kataru inun sa nakarajaku daya aku puang ngaraja inun sa na ahengku, malengkan aku ngaraja inun sa jari karigatenku. BSB BSB: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.
16 PBPE Kude, amun aku ngaraja isa hal sa puang na ahengku, aku satuju amun Hukum Taurat yiru maeh. BSB BSB: And if I do what I do not want to do, I admit that the law is good.
17 PBPE Jari itati, puang lagi aku sa ngarajani, kude dusa sa welum hang wuang aku. BSB BSB: In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
18 PBPE Daya, aku karasa amun mahi sunah isa hal sa maeh sa welum hang wuang aku, hanye yiru hang wuang kadaginganku, daya aheng yiru naan hang wuang tengaku, kude pakai ngaraja hal sa puang maeh. BSB BSB: I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
19 PBPE Daya, aku puang ngaraja sa maeh sa na ahengku, kude aku ngaraja hal sa jahat, sa puang na ahengku! BSB BSB: For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do.
20 PBPE Jari, amun aku ngaraja hal sa puang na ahengku, yiru puang lagi aku sa ngarajani, kude dusa sa welum hang wuang aku. BSB BSB: And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 PBPE Jari, sa habaku teka hukum yiti, hanye yiru: Hantek aku hamen ngaraja hal sa maeh, kajahatan pada naan baya aku. BSB BSB: So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
22 PBPE Daya, aku katuju andri Hukum Alatalla sa hang wuang ateiku, BSB BSB: For in my inner being I delight in God’s law.
23 PBPE kude aku kadinung hukum lain hang wuang tengaku sa bajuang nawan Hukum atei akalku balalu ngurung aku ma wuang hukum dusa sa naan hang wuang tengaku. BSB BSB: But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me.
24 PBPE Aku murunsia silaka! Hie sa sagar nyalamat aku teka tenga sa tau matei yiti? BSB BSB: What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
25 PBPE Syukur ma Alatalla itetei Tuhan takam, Kristus Yesus! Jari, andri akal ateiku, aku jari walah hukum Alatalla, kude andri tenga jasmaniku aku jari walah ma hukum dusa. BSB BSB: Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
