Praise the LORD from the Heavens (Psalm 33:1–22)
1 UST Praise Yahweh! You who are in heaven, praise Yahweh; yes, you who are in the highest places, praise him. BSB BSB: Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the highest places.
2 UST All you angels, praise him; all you heavenly armies, praise him. BSB BSB: Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.
3 UST Sun and moon, praise him; all you shining stars, praise him. BSB BSB: Praise Him, O sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.
4 UST You highest heavens, praise him, and you waters above the sky, praise him. BSB BSB: Praise Him, O highest heavens, and you waters above the skies.
5 UST Let all of these praise Yahweh, because he created them by his own command. BSB BSB: Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He gave the command and they were created.
6 UST He set them in their places permanently;{ to do that,} he made a decree that will always be in effect. BSB BSB: He established them forever and ever; He issued a decree that will never pass away.
7 UST You who are on the earth, praise Yahweh! You great sea creatures and everything deep in the ocean, BSB BSB: Praise the LORD from the earth, all great sea creatures and ocean depths,
8 UST lightning and hail, snow and clouds, and strong winds that obey what he commands, BSB BSB: lightning and hail, snow and clouds, powerful wind fulfilling His word,
9 UST all you mountains and hills, all you fruit trees and cedar trees, BSB BSB: mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
10 UST all you wild animals and livestock, all you creatures that crawl on the ground and all you birds that fly in the sky, BSB BSB: wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds,
11 UST you kings of the earth and all your peoples, you rulers and all you judges, BSB BSB: kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth,
12 UST you young men and young women, you old people and children, BSB BSB: young men and maidens, old and young together.
13 UST you should all praise Yahweh, because he alone is truly great. He is more glorious than everything on earth and in heaven. BSB BSB: Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
14 UST He has made his people strong, and other nations respect them. His people are the Israelite people, who are close to him. Praise Yahweh! BSB BSB: He has raised up a horn for His people, the praise of all His saints, of Israel, a people near to Him. Hallelujah!
