1 ULB Ahora, hermanos, oren por nosotros, para que la palabra del Señor sea esparcida rápidamente y sea glorificada, así como lo fue con ustedes. BSB BSB: Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread quickly and be held in honor, just as it was with you.
2 ULB Oren para que podamos ser liberados de las personas perversas y malvadas, pues no todos tienen fe. BSB BSB: And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men; for not everyone holds to the faith.
3 ULB Pero el Señor es fiel, quien les establecerá y guardará del maligno. BSB BSB: But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
4 ULB Nosotros tenemos confianza en el Señor en cuanto a ustedes, que ustedes ambos hagan y continúen haciendo las cosas que nosotros le ordenamos. BSB BSB: And we have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do what we command.
5 ULB Que el Señor dirija sus corazones al amor de Dios y a la perseverancia en Cristo. BSB BSB: May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
6 ULB Ahora les ordenamos, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que ustedes eviten a todo hermano que viva ociosamente, no de acuerdo a las tradiciones que ustedes recibieron de nosotros. BSB BSB: Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who leads an undisciplined life that is not in keeping with the tradition you received from us.
7 ULB Pues ustedes mismos saben que es propio para ustedes imitarnos. Nosotros no vivimos entre ustedes como alguien que no tenía disciplina. BSB BSB: For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not undisciplined among you,
8 ULB Y no comimos la comida de nadie sin pagar por ella. En su lugar, trabajamos noche y día en trabajos difíciles y con esfuerzo, para no ser una carga a ninguno de ustedes. BSB BSB: nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. Instead, in labor and toil, we worked night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
9 ULB Hicimos esto, no porque no tenemos autoridad. Al contrario, hicimos esto para ser un ejemplo a ustedes, para que así ustedes puedan imitarnos. BSB BSB: Not that we lack this right, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate.
10 ULB Cuando estuvimos con ustedes les ordenamos: "Si alguno no quiere trabajar, él no debería comer". BSB BSB: For even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “If anyone is unwilling to work, he shall not eat.”
11 ULB Porque nosotros escuchamos que algunos entre ustedes caminan ociosamente. Ellos no trabajan pero en su lugar son entrometidos. BSB BSB: For we hear that some of you are leading undisciplined lives, accomplishing nothing, but being busybodies.
12 ULB Ahora nosotros les ordenamos a esos y les exhortamos en el Señor Jesucristo, que ellos deberían trabajar silenciosamente y comer su propia comida. BSB BSB: We command and urge such people by our Lord Jesus Christ to begin working quietly to earn their own living.
13 ULB Pero ustedes, hermanos, no se desanimen en hacer lo que es correcto. BSB BSB: But as for you, brothers, do not grow weary in well-doing.
14 ULB Si alguno no obedece nuestra palabra en esta carta, tomen nota de él y no se asocien con él, para que él pueda avergonzarse. BSB BSB: Take note of anyone who does not obey the instructions we have given in this letter. Do not associate with him, so that he may be ashamed.
15 ULB No lo consideren a él un enemigo, pero adviértanle como a un hermano. BSB BSB: Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 ULB Que el mismo Dios de paz les dé paz en todo momento en sus caminos. El Señor sea con todos ustedes. BSB BSB: Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
17 ULB Éste es mi saludo, Pablo, con mi propia mano, la cual es la firma en toda carta. Así es como yo escribo. BSB BSB: This greeting is in my own hand—Paul. This is my mark in every letter; it is the way I write.
