1. 1GMVEኢሲ ጋላስ ዬሱሲ ቁማ ማናስ ፋርሳዌታ ሃላቃታፔ ኢሳ ሶ ጌሊዳ ዎዴ ኣሳይ ዉሪ ዬሱሲ ኣይ ኦꬃናኮ ጊዲ ኣይፌ ኢዛ ቦላ ቶኪ ጼሊዴስ።BSBBSB: One Sabbath, Jesus went to eat in the home of a leading Pharisee, and those in attendance were watching Him closely.
2. 2GMVEሄንካ ኢዛስ ኣሳቴꬃይ ፑሪን ዋዬቲዛ ኢሲ ኣሲ ኢዛ ሲንꬃን ዴስ።BSBBSB: Right there before Him was a man with dropsy.
3. 3GMVEዬሱሲካ ሙሴ ዎጋ ኤሪዛይታኔ ፋርሳዌታ፥ «ሳኬቲዛዴ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ፓꬃናስ ኮሺዜዬ? ኮሼኔ?» ጊዲ ኦይቺዴስ።BSBBSB: So Jesus asked the experts in the law and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”
4. 4GMVEኢስቲካ ጮኡ ጊዳ፤ ኢዚካ ኣዴዛ ቦቺዲ ፓꬂ ዬዲዴስ።BSBBSB: But they remained silent. Then Jesus took hold of the man, healed him, and sent him on his way.
5. 5GMVEቃሴካ፥ «ኢንቴፌ ኢሲ ኣሳስ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ናይ ዎይኮ ቦራይ ኩንዲዲ ኦላን ጌሊኮ ኤሶን ሄራካ ኬሶንታዴይ ኦኔ?» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: And He asked them, “Which of you whose son or ox falls into a pit on the Sabbath day will not immediately pull him out?”
6. 6GMVEኢስቲካ ኦይሻስ ኣይኮ ዛሮካ ዴማናስ ዳንዳይቤቴና።BSBBSB: And they were unable to answer these questions.
7. 7GMVEጼይጌቲዳ ኣሳቲ ኡታናስ ቦንቾሶ ኮዪሺን ዬሱሲ ቤኢዲ ሌሚሶራ ኢስታስ፥BSBBSB: When Jesus noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, He told them a parable:
8. 8GMVE«ኢሲ ኣሲ ኔና ሳርጌስ ጼይጊኮ ቦንቾሶን ኡቶፋ፤ ኔፔ ቦላራ ቦንቼቲዛዴይ ጼይጌቲኮ፥BSBBSB: “When you are invited to a wedding banquet, do not sit in the place of honor, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited.
9. 9GMVEኢንቴና ናምኣታካ ጼይጊዳዴይ ዪዲ፥ ‹ኔ ኡቲዳሶሆዛ ሃይሳዴስ ዬዳ› ጋና፤ ኔኒካ ዬላታሼ ዚቃሶ ባንዳሳ።BSBBSB: Then the host who invited both of you will come and tell you, ‘Give this man your seat.’ And in humiliation, you will have to take the last place.
10. 10GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኔ ጼይጌቲዳ ዎዴ ዚቃሶ ጼላዳ ኡታ፤ ኔና ጼይጊዳዴይ ዪዲ፥ ‹ታ ላጌዞ! ሃ ያ ꬎቃሶሆን ኡታ› ጋንዴስ፤ ኔኒካ ሄ ዎዴ ኔናራ ማዳን ኡቲዳ ኣሳ ኡባ ሲንꬃን ቦንቼታና።BSBBSB: But when you are invited, go and sit in the last place, so that your host will come and tell you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in front of everyone at the table with you.
11. 11GMVEጋሶይካ ባና ꬎቁ ሂስቲዛዴይ ዉሪ ዚቂ ጋና፤ ባና ዚቂ ሂስቲዛዴይ ዉሪ ꬎቁ ጋና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
12. 12GMVEዬሱሲካ ጼይጊዳ ኣዴዛ፥ «ቁማ ዎይኮ ካዎ ሚዛናስ ጼይሲኮ ኔይሳꬆ ኔና ጼይሲዲ ሚዞንታ ማላ ኔ ላጌታ ዎይኮ ኔ ኢሻታ፥ ኔ ዳቦታ ዎይኮ ዱሬታ ዎይኮ ዱሬ ጉታታ ጼይጎፓ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to the man who had invited Him, “When you host a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or brothers or relatives or rich neighbors. Otherwise, they may invite you in return, and you will be repaid.
13. 13GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ኣሳ ጼይሳዳ ሚዛና ኮይኮ ማንቆታ፥ ኩሼይ፥ ቶሆይ ባይንዳ ዎቤታኔ ቆቄታ ጼይሳ፤ ኔኒ ኣንጄታና።BSBBSB: But when you host a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind,
14. 14GMVEጼይጌቲዳይቲ ኩሼ ዛራናስ ዳንዳዮንታ ጊሻስ ጺሎታ ዴንꬃ ዎዴ ኔስ ኩሼይ ዛሬታና» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: and you will be blessed. Since they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
15. 15GMVEማዳን ዬሱሳራ ኢሲፌ ኡቲዳይታፔ ኢሶይ ሃይሳ ሲዪዲ፥ «ጾሳ ካዎቴꬃን ሺቂዲ ማዳፌ ሚዛ ኣሲ ኣንጄቲዳዴ» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: When one of those reclining with Him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is everyone who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.”
16. 16GMVEዬሱሲካ፥ «ኢሲ ኣሲ ዎልቃማ ጊቢራ ጊግሲዲ ዳሮ ኣስ ጼይጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “A certain man prepared a great banquet and invited many guests.
17. 17GMVE«ጊቢራ ማና ዎዴይካ ጋኪን ጼይጌቲዳ ኢማꬃታ፥ ‹ዉሪካ ጊጊዳ ጊሻስ ሃ ዪቴ!› ጊዲ ጼይጋና ማላ ባ ኣሽካራ ዬዲዴስ።BSBBSB: When it was time for the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
18. 18GMVEጊዶ ኣቲን ዉሪካ ባስ ሃራ ጋሶ ሺሺዲ ኢሶይ፥ ‹ሃኢ ጋዴ ሻማዲስ፤ ታ ባዳ ቤያናስ ቤሴስ፤ ሃቺስ ታና ላንጮፋ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first one said, ‘I have bought a field, and I need to go see it. Please excuse me.’
19. 19GMVE«ሃንኮይሲካ፥ ‹ታኒ ኢቻሹ ዋጻ ቦራ ሻማዲስ፤ ኢስታ ፓጫ ጼላና ጊሻስ ሃች ታና ላንጮፋ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please excuse me.’
20. 20GMVE«ቃሴ ሃራ ኢሳዴይካ፥ ‹ታኒ ቡሮ ሚሺራቴꬃን ዳይስ፤ ባናስ ዳንዳይኬ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, so I cannot come.’
21. 21GMVE«ኦሳንቻዚ ኪቴቲዳሶፔ ሲሚዲ ሄꬓቲ ጊዳይሳ ባ ጎዳስ ዮቲዴስ፤ ሄ ዎዴካ ጊቢራ ጊግሲዳይሲ ሃንቄቲዲ ኦሳንቻዛ፥ ‹ኤሌ ኦይዱ ኦጌ ኬዛዳ ማንቆታ፥ ኩሼይኔ ቶሆይ ባይንዳ ዎቤታ፥ ቆማጻታኔ ኣይፌይ ባይንዳ ቆቄታ ሃ ጌልꬃ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’
22. 22GMVE«ኦሳንቻዚካ ዛሪዲ፥ ‹ታ ጎዶ! ኔ ታና ኣዛዚዳይሳ ኡባ ፖላዲስ፤ ሃኢካ ሃራ ኡቴꬃሶይ ዴስ› ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: ‘Sir,’ the servant replied, ‘what you ordered has been done, and there is still room.’
23. 23GMVE«ጎዳዚካ ኦሳንቻዛ፥ ‹ጌዴ ኦይዱ ኦጌ ኬዛዳ ታ ኬꬄ ኩማና ማላ ፑዴኔ ዱጌ ኣꬊዛይታ ዎልቃራ ሃ ጌልꬃ።BSBBSB: So the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.
24. 24GMVEታኒ ቱማ ጋይስ፤ ጊቢራ ማና ጼይጌቲዳይታፔ ኢሳዴይካ ዶናን ጌልꬄና› » ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: For I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will taste my banquet.’”
25. 25GMVEዳሮ ዴሬይ ኢዛራ ኢሲፌ ቢዛይሳ ዬሱሲ ቤኢዲ ጉዬ ሲሚ፥BSBBSB: Now large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and He turned and said to them,
26. 26GMVE«ታኮ ዪዛይ ዉሪ ባ ኣዋ፥ ባ ማቾኔ ናይታ፥ ባ ኢሻታኔ ሚቼታ፥ ባ ሼምፖ ጊዲን ኢጾንታ ኣጊኮ ታና ካሊዛዴ ጊዳናስ ዳንዳዬና።BSBBSB: “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be My disciple.
27. 27GMVEባ ማስቃሌ ቶኪዲ ታና ካሎንታይ ታና ካሊዛዴ ጊዳናስ ዳንዳዬና።BSBBSB: And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.
28. 28GMVE«ኢንቴፌ ኢሲ ኣሲ ኬꬄ ኬጻናስ ኮይኮ ፖላናስ ዳንዳያናኮኔ ዳንዳዮንታኮ ኮይሮቲዲ ባስ ዲዛ ቢራ ቆፖንታይ ኦኔ?BSBBSB: Which of you, wishing to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost to see if he has the resources to complete it?
29. 29GMVEኬꬃ ኬጻና ዶሚዲ ዉርሳናስ ሃኖንታ ኢጺኮ ቤኢዳ ኣሲ ዉሪ ኢዛ ቦላ ሚጫና።BSBBSB: Otherwise, if he lays the foundation and is unable to finish the work, everyone who sees it will ridicule him,
30. 30GMVEኢስቲካ፥ ‹ሃይሲ ኣዴዚ ኬꬄ ኬጾ ኦይኪዴስ ሺን ፖሊቤና› ጊ ሚጫና።BSBBSB: saying, ‘This man could not finish what he started to build.’
31. 31GMVE«ዎይኮ ኢሲ ካዎይ ሃራ ካዎራ ኦላስ ጊጌቲዲ ናምኡ ታሙ ሺ ኣስ ኤኪ ዪዛ ካዎ ዛራናስ ታሙ ሺ ኦላ ኣሳራ ዛራናኮ ኡቲዲ ቆፖንታይ ኦኔ?BSBBSB: Or what king on his way to war with another king will not first sit down and consider whether he can engage with ten thousand men the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
32. 32GMVEኦላ ዛራናስ ዳንዳዬቶንታ ሚሳቲዲ ቤቲኮ ቡሮ ሃሆን ዲሺን ማቃይናናስ ጋና ዬዴስ።BSBBSB: And if he is unable, he will send a delegation while the other king is still far off, to ask for terms of peace.
33. 33GMVEሄሳꬆካ ኢንቴፌ ኦናካ ጊዲን ባስ ዲዛይሳ ኣጎንታይ ታና ካሊዛዴ ጊዳናስ ዳንዳዬና።BSBBSB: In the same way, any one of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be My disciple.
34. 34GMVE«ማጺኔይ ሎኦሺን ባ ማጺኔቴꬃ ማልኦ ዬዲኮ ዛሪዲ ዋኒ ማልኣና ዳንዳይዜ?BSBBSB: Salt is good, but if the salt loses its savor, with what will it be seasoned?
35. 35GMVEጋዴን ዬጊን ኣራዲሶንታ ጊሻስ ጮ ካሬ ዎራ ዬጌቴስ፤ ሲዪዛ ሃይꬂ ዲዛ ኣሲ ሲዮ!» ጊዴስ።BSBBSB: It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile, and it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
