1. 1GOFEየሱሲ ባ ታማረታኮ፥ “እስ ዱረ ኡራስ እያፐ ጋርሳራ እስ ሹም ደኤስ። ሄ ሹማይ ባ ጎዳ ሻሉዋ ቶቼስ ግያ ዎረይ ኬꬃ አዋ ጋክስ።BSBBSB: Jesus also said to His disciples, “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.
2. 2GOFEኬꬃ አዋይ ሹማ ፄግስድ፥ ‘ታኒ ዎይግያባ ስአድና? ህዛፐ ኔኒ ታ ኬꬃስ ሹማ ግዳዳ ኦꬃናዉ ዳንዳኦና ግሾ፥ ታ ሻሉዋ ታዉ ሼꬋ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: So he called him in to ask, ‘What is this I hear about you? Turn in an account of your management, for you cannot be manager any longer.’
3. 3GOFE“ሄ ሹማይ ባ ዎዛናን ሀይሳዳ ያግድ ቆፕስ፦ ‘ታ ጎዳይ ታና ሹማተꬃፈ ዎꬃና ሀኔስ፥ ጎያ አቃናዉ ዎልቅ ባዋ፥ ዎሳ ማናዉ ዬላዬስ፤ ያትን ታ ዋኖ?BSBBSB: The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking away my position? I am too weak to dig and too ashamed to beg.
4. 4GOFEሹማተꬃፈ ታ ዎꬍያ ዎደ አሳይ ታና ሞካና መላ ኦꬃናባ ታ ኤራይስ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: I know what I will do so that after my removal from management, people will welcome me into their homes.’
5. 5GOFE“ሄሳ ግሾ፥ እያ ጎዳ አጮይ ደእያ አሳ እሱዋ እሱዋ ፄግ ኤህድ ኮይሮ ኡራኮ፥ ‘ነ ቦላ ታ ጎዳ አጮይ አይ መል ደኢ?’ ያግድ ኦይችስ።BSBBSB: And he called in each one of his master’s debtors. ‘How much do you owe my master?’ he asked the first.
6. 6GOFE“እ፥ ‘ላታሙ ባርሜለ ዛይተ አጮይ ደኤስ’ ያግስ። “ሹማይ፥ ‘ዉለ ዋርቃትያ ሄኤ፥ ኤለሳዳ፥ ታሙ ባርሜለ ዛይተ አጮይ ደኤስ ጋዳ ፃፋ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: ‘A hundred measures of olive oil,’ he answered. ‘Take your bill,’ said the manager, ‘sit down quickly, and write fifty.’
7. 7GOFE“ሄሳፈ ካልድ ናምአንꬁዋኮ፥ ‘ነዉ አፑን ደኢ?’ ያግስ። “እ፥ ‘ሄꬑ ፄታነ ላፑን ታሙ ኩንታለ ግስተ አጮይ ደኤስ’ ያግስ። “ሹማይ፥ ‘ነ ዉለ ዋርቃትያ ሄኤ፥ ኤለሳዳ፥ 296 ኩንታለ ያጋዳ ፃፋ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then he asked another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ ‘A hundred measures of wheat,’ he replied. ‘Take your bill and write eighty,’ he told him.
8. 8GOFEኬꬃ አዋይ አማነትቦና ሹማ እያ ጭንጫተꬃስ ናሽስ። ሀ አላምያ ናይት አሰ ኦይꬃን ፖኦ ናይታፐ አꬍዳ ዎዛናማታ።BSBBSB: The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the sons of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the sons of light.
9. 9GOFE“ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ታ ህንተዉ ኦዳይስ፤ ሀ አላምያ ሚሸይ ዉርያ ዎደ መርና ኬꬃን ሞከታና መላ ሀ ሚሽያራ ህንተዉ ላገታ ሻምተ።BSBBSB: I tell you, use worldly wealth to make friends for yourselves so that when it is gone, they will welcome you into eternal dwellings.
10. 10GOFEኡባፈ ጉꬃባን አማነትዳይ ዳሮባን አማነትዳይሳ ግዴስ። ቃስ ኡባፈ ጉꬃባን አማነቶናይስ ዳሮባን አማነተና።BSBBSB: Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
11. 11GOFEህዛ፥ ሀ አላመ ሚሸን ህንተ አማነቶና እፅኮ፥ ቱማ ሚሸ ህንተዉ ኦን ሀዳራ እማኔ?BSBBSB: So if you have not been faithful with worldly wealth, who will entrust you with true riches?
12. 12GOFEህንተ ሀራ አሳ ሚሸን አማነቶና እፅኮ፥ ህንተ ቡዞ ሚሸ ህንተዉ ኦን እማኔ?BSBBSB: And if you have not been faithful with the belongings of another, who will give you belongings of your own?
13. 13GOFE“እስ አይለይ ናምኡ ጎዳታስ ሃረታናዉ ዳንዳኤና። እሱዋ እፅኮ ሀንኩዋ ዶሴስ ዎይኮ እሱዋኮ ሺቅኮ ሀንኩዋ ካꬌስ። ሄሳዳካ፥ ህንተ ፆሳስነ ሚሸስ ሃረታናዉ ዳንዳኤከታ።”BSBBSB: No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
14. 14GOFEሚሸ ዶስያ ፋርሳወት ሄሳ ስእዳ ዎደ የሱሳ ቀልቅስዶሶና።BSBBSB: The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all of this and were scoffing at Jesus.
15. 15GOFEእ፥ “ህንተ፥ ህንተና አሳ ስንꬃን ፅልሴታ፥ ሽን ፆሳይ ህንተ ዎዛና ኤሬስ። አሳ ስንꬃን ቦንቸትዳይስ ፆሳ ስንꬃን ቦረትዳይሳ።BSBBSB: So He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is prized among men is detestable before God.
16. 16GOFE“ሙሰ ህገይነ ናበታ ኪታይ ዮሃንሳ ጋካናዉ ህንተዉ ኦደትሸ ጋምእስ። ሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ፆሳ ካዎተꬃ ዎንገላይ ሳባከትሸ ጋምእስ። አስ ኡባይ ያ ገላናዉ ዳፈቴስ።BSBBSB: The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the gospel of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.
17. 17GOFEግዶሽን፥ ህግያፈ እስ ላፋ ፕዳለይ አታናፐ ሳሎይነ ሳእ አይስ ካዉዬስ።BSBBSB: But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.
18. 18GOFE“ባ ማችዉ የድድ ሀራ ኤክያ ኡባይ ላሜስ። ባ አዝናፐ አንጀትዳሮ ኤከይስካ ላሜስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
19. 19GOFE“አልኦነ አሌቆ አፍላ ማእያ፥ ሳእ እንጀትን ጋላስ ጋላስ ኡፋይሳን ደእያ እስ ዱረ አስ ደኤስ።BSBBSB: Now there was a rich man dressed in purple and fine linen, who lived each day in joyous splendor.
20. 20GOFEሀር ቃስ አሳተꬃይ ኩመꬅ ማዱንፅዳ እስ አላዛራ ጌተትያ ማንቆይ ሄ ዱረ ኡራ ካረን የገትድ አትዳይስ ደኤስ።BSBBSB: And a beggar named Lazarus lay at his gate, covered with sores
21. 21GOFEኮሻፐ ደንዶይሳን ዱረ ኡራ ጋይታፐ ዎꬍያ ቲፍያ ማናዉ አሞትሸ ደኤስ። ሀር አቶሽን፥ ካናት ይድ እያ ማዱንꬃ ላጮሶና።BSBBSB: and longing to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22. 22GOFE“ሄ ማንቆይ ሀይቅስ፤ ኪታንቾት እያ አብራሃመ ክኦ ኤፍዶሶና። ቃስ ዱረ ኡራይካ ሀይቅድ ሞገትስ።BSBBSB: One day the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. And the rich man also died and was buried.
23. 23GOFEስኦለን ኡንኤትድ ደእሸ ꬎቁ ግድ ሃሆን አብራሃመነ እያ ክኦን ደእያ አላዛራ በእስ።BSBBSB: In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham from afar, with Lazarus by his side.
24. 24GOFEእ፥ ‘አዋዉ አብራሃመ፥ ታዉ ቃታርክ፤ ሀ ታማ ላጮን ኡንኤታዳ ደእያ ግሾ አላዛር ባ ብራꬍያ ሃꬃን የድድ ታ እንፃርሳ ላኮꬃና መላ ሀያና እያ የዳርክ’ ያግድ ዋስስ።BSBBSB: So he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. For I am in agony in this fire.’
25. 25GOFE“ሽን አብራሃመይ እያኮ፥ ‘ታ ናአዉ፥ ነ ሳአን ደእያ ዎደ ሎኦባታ ኤክዳይሳ፥ ቃስ አላዛር ኢታባታ ኤክዳይሳ አኬካ። ሽን ሀእ እ ሀይሳን ኡፋይቴስ፥ ቃስ ኔኒ ዋየታሸ ደኣሳ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: But Abraham answered, ‘Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things. But now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.
26. 26GOFEሀ ኡባፈ አꬍድ፥ ‘ሃፐ ህንተኮ፥ ህንፐ ሃ ኑኮ አꬋናዉ ኮየይሳት ፕኖና መላ ኑስነ ህንተዉ ግዶን ግታ አፎይ ደኤስ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: And besides all this, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that even those who wish cannot cross from here to you, nor can anyone cross from there to us.’
27. 27GOFE“ዱረ ኡራይ፥ ‘አዋዉ፥ ያኮ አላዛራ ታ አዋ ሶ ኪታና መላ ታ ነና ዎሳይስ።BSBBSB: ‘Then I beg you, father,’ he said, ‘send Lazarus to my father’s house,
28. 28GOFEታዉ እቻሹ እሻት ደእዶሶና፥ ኤንትካ ሀ ዋየ በሳ ዮና መላ ኤንታዉ ብድ ማርካቶ’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also end up in this place of torment.’
29. 29GOFE“ሽን አብራሃመይ፥ ‘ኤንታዉ ሙሰራነ ናበታራ ደኦሶና፤ ኤንቲ ኦድያባ ስኦና’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let your brothers listen to them.’
30. 30GOFE“ዱረ ኡራይ፥ ‘አዋዉ አብራሃመ፥ ሄሳꬆ ግደና፤ እስ አስ ሀይቆፐ ደንድድ ቢኮ ኤንቲ ማሮታን ገላና’ ያግስ።BSBBSB: ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone is sent to them from the dead, they will repent.’
31. 31GOFE“አብራሃመይ፥ ‘ሙሰነ ናበታ ስኦና እፅኮ፥ ሀር አቶሽን ሀይቆፐ እስ አስ ደንድ ኦድኮካ አማኖኮና’ ያግስ።”BSBBSB: Then Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”
