1. 1GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ ጋልላ አባ ማታን ታማርሴስ። ዳሮ አሳይ እያ ማታን ዩሹዋን ሺቅን፥ አባን ደእያ ዎጎሉዋ ግዶ ገልድ ኡትስ፥ አሳ ኡባይ አባ ማታን ደኤስ።BSBBSB: Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore.
2. 2GOFEእ ኤንታ ዳሮባ ሌምሶን ታማርስስ። ታማርስሸ ሀይሳዳ ያግስ፦BSBBSB: And He taught them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said,
3. 3GOFE“ስእተ! እስ ኡራይ ዘረꬅ ዘራናዉ ከይስ።BSBBSB: “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed.
4. 4GOFEእ ዘርሽን፥ እስ እስ ዘረꬃይ ኦገ ጋፃን ዎꬍስ፤ ካፎት ይድ ምዶሶና።BSBBSB: And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.
5. 5GOFEእስ እስ ዘረꬃይ ጋርሳን ሻሎይ ደእያ ቢታ ቦላ ዎꬍስ። ዳሮ ቢት ባይና ግሾ፥ ሄ ዘረꬃይ ኤለስድ ዶልስ።BSBBSB: Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.
6. 6GOFEሽን አው ከይዳ ዎደ ሹልስ። ሎይꬅድ ፃጶ የድቦና ግሾ፥ ኤለስ መልስ።BSBBSB: But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
7. 7GOFEእስ እስ ዘረꬃይ አጉንꬃ ግዶን ዎꬍስ። ዶልዳይሳ አጉንꬃይ ድጭድ ጩልዳ ግሾ አይፈ አይፎና አትስ።BSBBSB: Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings, and they yielded no crop.
8. 8GOFEእስ እስ ዘረꬃይ አራዳ ቢታን ዎꬍድ ዶልስ። ድጭድ እሶይ ሀስታማ፥ እሶይ ኡሱፑን ታማ እሶይ ፄታ አይፍስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop—one bearing thirtyfold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold.”
9. 9GOFE“ስእያ ሀይꬅ ደእያ ኦንካ ስኦ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10. 10GOFEየሱሲ ኦድዳይሳ ስእዳ እስ እስ አሳትነ ታማነ ናምኡ ታማረት የሱሲ ባርካ ደእሽን፥ እያኮ ሺቅድ ሄ ሌምሱዋ ብርሸꬃ ኦይችዶሶና።BSBBSB: As soon as Jesus was alone with the Twelve and those around Him, they asked Him about the parable.
11. 11GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ ሀይሳዳ ያግስ፦ “ህንተዉ ፆሳ ካዎተꬃ ፁራ ኤሮይ እመትስ። ሽን ሀራታስ ካዎተꬃፈ ካረን ደኤይሳታስ ኡባባይ ሌምሶን ኦደቴስ።BSBBSB: He replied, “The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is expressed in parables,
12. 12GOFEጋሶይካ፥ “ ‘ኤንቲ ፄሎሶና፥ ሽን ደሞኮና። ስኦሶና፥ ሽን አኬኮኮና። ኤንቲ ደምያኮነ አኬክያኮ፥ ፆሳኮ ስማና እካ ኤንታ ማራናሽን’ ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.’”
13. 13GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታኮ፥ “ሀ ሌምሶይ ህንተዉ ገለኔ? ያትን፥ ሌምሶ ኡባ ህንተ ዋት አኬካኔ?BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables?
14. 14GOFEዘረይስ ፆሳ ቃላ ዘሬስ።BSBBSB: The farmer sows the word.
15. 15GOFEቃላይ ዘረትያ ዎደ ኦገ ጋፃን ዎꬍዳይሳት ቃላ ስእዳይሳታ። ሽን ፃላሄይ ኤለስድ፥ ይድ ኤንታ ዎዛናን ዘረትዳ ቃላ ማፅ ድጌስ።BSBBSB: Some are like the seeds along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.
16. 16GOFEሄሳዳካ፥ ጋርሳን ሻሎይ ደእያ ቢታን ዘረትዳይስ ቃላ ስእድ፥ ኤለስድ ኡፋይሳን ኤከይሳ።BSBBSB: Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy.
17. 17GOFEሽን እያዉ ምኖ ፃጶይ ባይና ግሾ ሀእሳፈ አትሽን፥ ጋምኦኮና። ጉꬃ ዎደፐ ጉየ ቃላ ጋሶን ዋየይ ዎይኮ ጎድ ጋክያ ዎደ ኤለስድ ꬉበቶሶና።BSBBSB: But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
18. 18GOFEአጉንꬃ ግዶን ዘረትዳይስ ቃላ ስኤይሳታ።BSBBSB: Others are like the seeds sown among the thorns. They hear the word,
19. 19GOFEሽን ሀ ሳአ ደኡዋስ ህርጎይ፥ ዱረተꬃ ዶሶይነ ሀራባ አሞተይስ እያ ዎዛናን ገልድ ቃላ ጩልያ ግሾ አይፈ አይፎና አትስ።BSBBSB: but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
20. 20GOFEሽን አራዳ ቢታን ዘረትዳይሳት ቃላ ስእድ ኤከይሳታ። ኤንቲ እሶይ ሀስታማ፥ እሶይ ኡሱፑን ታማ እሶይ ፄታ አይፍስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Still others are like the seeds sown on good soil. They hear the word, receive it, and produce a crop—thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or a hundredfold.”
21. 21GOFEየሱሲ ጉጅድ፥ “ፆምፐ ኤክድ፥ ዳቾፈ ዎይኮ አልጋፈ ጋርሳን ዎꬅያ አስ ደኢ? ꬎቃ በሳን ዎነዬ?BSBBSB: Jesus also said to them, “Does anyone bring in a lamp to put it under a basket or under a bed? Doesn’t he set it on a stand?
22. 22GOFEህዛ፥ ቆሰትዳባይ ኡባይ ቆንጨ ከያና፤ ጌምዳባይ ኡባይ ኤረቶና አተና።BSBBSB: For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light.
23. 23GOFEስእያ ሀይꬅ ደእያ ኦንካ ስኦ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
24. 24GOFEቃስ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተ ስእያባ አኬክድ ስእተ! ፆሳ ቃላ ህንተ ስኤይሳ መላ እ ህንተዉ አኬካ እማና። ኡባካ ህንተዉ ዳርስድ እማና።BSBBSB: He went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you.
25. 25GOFEእስባይ ደእያ ኡራስ ጉጅ እመታና፥ ባይናይሳፈ ሀር አቶሽን፥ እያዉ ደእያ ሄ ጉꬅያካ ኤከታና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: For whoever has will be given more. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
26. 26GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ፆሳ ካዎተꬃይ ባ ጋደን ዘረꬅ ዘርያ አሳ መላ።BSBBSB: Jesus also said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground.
27. 27GOFEሄ ኡራይ ቃማ ꬍስኬስ፤ ዎንታ ደንዴስ። እ ባ ሁጰን ዋንያኮ ኤሮና ደእሽን ሄ ዘረꬃይ ዶሌስነ ድጬስ።BSBBSB: Night and day he sleeps and wakes, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he knows not how.
28. 28GOFEቢታይ ካꬅ ባርካ እሜስ። ኮይሮ ዶልድ ድጬስ፥ ካልድ አይፋናዉ ጋምቡፄስ፥ ዉርሰꬃን ኩመꬃ አይፈ አይፌስ።BSBBSB: All by itself the earth produces a crop—first the stalk, then the head, then grain that ripens within.
29. 29GOFEሽን ካꬃይ ጋክያ ዎደ ኡራይ ኤለስድ ባጫራ ገል አጌስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: And as soon as the grain is ripe, he swings the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
30. 30GOFEየሱሲ፥ “ኑኒ ፆሳ ካዎተꬃ አይ ዳኔስ ጋኔ? ዎይኮ አይብራ ሌምሳኔ?BSBBSB: Then He asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God? With what parable shall we present it?
31. 31GOFEፆሳ ካዎተꬃይ አይፈ ጉꬃ ምꬅ ዳኔስ። ሄ ምꬃ አይፍያ ዘርያ ዎደ ሳአን ደእያ ምꬃ አይፈ ኡባፈ ጉፄስ።BSBBSB: It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds sown upon the earth.
32. 32GOFEዘርን ዶልድ አታክልተ ኡባፈ ግታቴስ፤ ዳሮ ዳሽ ዳዬስ። ካፎት እያ ታሽያ ቦላ ኬፅድ ኡታና ጋካናዉ ዳዬስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But after it is planted, it grows to be the largest of all garden plants and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air nest in its shade.”
33. 33GOFEየሱሲ ሀይሳ መላ ዳሮ ሌምሶን አሳይ አኬካናዉ ዳንዳኤይሳ መላ ቃላ ኦድስ።BSBBSB: With many such parables Jesus spoke the word to them, to the extent that they could understand.
34. 34GOFEአሳስ ሌምሶይ ባይና ኦደና። ሽን የሱሲ ባ ታማረታ ፃላላራ ደእያ ዎደ፥ ኤንታዉ ኡባባ ብርሽድ ኦድስ።BSBBSB: He did not tell them anything without using a parable. But privately He explained everything to His own disciples.
35. 35GOFEሄ ጋላስ ሳእ ኦማርስን፥ የሱሲ ባ ታማረታኮ፥ “አባፈ ሄፍንꬅ ፕኖስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: When that evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side.”
36. 36GOFEእያ ታማረት ዳሮ አሳ የግ አግድ፥ የሱሲ ካሰ ገል ኡትዳ ዎጎሉዋን ገልድ የሱሳ ባንታራ ኤፍዶሶና። ሀራ ዎጎሎትካ ያን ደኦሶና።BSBBSB: After they had dismissed the crowd, they took Jesus with them, since He was already in the boat. And there were other boats with Him.
37. 37GOFEዎልቃማ ጎተይ ደንድድ፥ ሆበይ ዎጎሉዋ ሾጭን፥ ኩማና ጋካናዉ ዎጎሉዋ ግዶ ሃꬅ ገልስ።BSBBSB: Soon a violent windstorm came up, and the waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was being swamped.
38. 38GOFEሄ ዎደ የሱሲ ዎጎሉዋን ጉየ ባጋራ ቦርኮትድ ꬍስክስ። እያ ታማረት እያ ደንꬅድ፥ “አስታማርያዉ፥ ኑኒ ꬋይያ ዎደ ነ ስእ ጋዳ ፄላይ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him and said, “Teacher, don’t You care that we are perishing?”
39. 39GOFEያትን፥ እ ባርክድ ጎትያ፥ “ስእ ጋ” ግድ፥ አባካ፥ “ዎፑ ጋ” ግስ። ጎተይካ ስእ ግን ኡባባይ ዎፑ ግስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.
40. 40GOFEየሱሲ ባ ታማረታኮ፥ “አይስ ሀይሳዳ ባበቲ? ህንተዉ አማኖይ ዋንድ ꬋይዴ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: “Why are you so afraid?” He asked. “Do you still have no faith?”
41. 41GOFEኤንቲ ዳሮ ባብድ ባንታ ግዶን፥ “ሀይስ ሀር አቶሽን፥ ጎተይነ አባይ ኪተተይስ ኦኔ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: Overwhelmed with fear, they asked one another, “Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
