1. 1GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ሳምባታ ጋላስ፥ የሱሲ ጋደ ግዶራ አꬌስ። የሱሳ ታማረት ኮሻትዳ ግሾ ትያ ባንጋ ሽርክድ ሞሶና።BSBBSB: At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
2. 2GOFEሽን ፋርሳወት ሄሳ በእድ የሱሳኮ፥ “ሄኮ፥ ነ ታማረት ሳምባታ ጋላስ ኦꬃናዉ በሶናባ ኦꬆሶና” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
3. 3GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ዳዊቲ ኮሻትዳ ዎደ እያራ ደኤይሳታራ አይ ኦꬅዳኮ ናባብበከቲ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
4. 4GOFEዳዊቲ ፆሳ ኬꬅ ገልድ ካህነታ ፃላላፐ አትሽን፥ እነ እያራ ደኤይሳታስ በሶና ጌሻ ዳቡዋ ምስ።BSBBSB: He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
5. 5GOFEዎይኮ ካህነት ሳምባታ ዎጋ ሻርድ ፆሳ ኬꬃን ሳምባታ ጋላስ ኦሶ ኦꬅኮ ኤንታዉ ባላ ግዶናይሳ ሙሰ ህግያን ናባብበከቲ?BSBBSB: Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
6. 6GOFEሽን ስእተ! ፆሳ ኬꬃፈ አይ ሀይሳን ደኤስ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that One greater than the temple is here.
7. 7GOFE‘ታኒ ህንተ ያርሹዋ ግዶናሽን ሀራታ ማራና መላ ኮያይስ’ ግያ ቃላይ ወይ ጉሰኮ ህንተ ኤርዳኮ፥ ፅሎ አሳ ቦላ ፕርደከታ።BSBBSB: If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
8. 8GOFEአሳ ናአይ ሳምባታ ጎዳ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9. 9GOFEየሱሲ ያፐ ብድ አይሁደ ዎሳ ኬꬅ ገልስ።BSBBSB: Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,
10. 10GOFEያን ኩሸይ ጉንድዳ እስ ኡራይ ደኤስ። የሱሳ ሞታናዉ ጋሶ ኮይያ አሳት፥ “ሳምባታ ጋላስ ፓꬃናዉ በሲ በሰኔ?” ያግድ ኦይችዶሶና።BSBBSB: and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11. 11GOFEእ ኤንታኮ፥ “ህንተ ግዶፈ እሱዋስ ዶርስ ሳምባታ ጋላስ አፎን ዉልኮ፥ ጎችድ ከሶናይ ኦኔ?BSBBSB: He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
12. 12GOFEያትን አስ ዶርሳፈ ዋንድ ዳሮ አኔ? ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ሳምባታ ጋላስ ሎኦባ ኦሶይ በሴስ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13. 13GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ የሱሲ አድያኮ፥ “ነ ኩሽያ ፕድ ኦꬃ” ያግን፥ ኡራይ ፕድ ኦꬅስ። እያ ኩሸይ ፓፅድ ሀንኮ ኩሽያዳ ሀንስ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.
14. 14GOFEሽን ፋርሳወት ያፐ ካረ ከይድ፥ የሱሳ ዋት ዎꬋነኮ ማቀትዶሶና።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
15. 15GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታ ቆፋ ኤርድ ሄ በሳ አግድ ሀራ ሶ ብስ። ዳሮ አሳይ እያ ካልድ ብዶሶና፥ ሀርጋንቾታ ኡባ ፓꬅስ።BSBBSB: Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,
16. 16GOFEየሱሲ፥ “ታባ ሀራ ኦደስካ ኦዶፕተ” ያግድ ምንꬅ ኦድስ።BSBBSB: warning them not to make Him known.
17. 17GOFEሄስካ ናብያ እሳያስ፥BSBBSB: This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
18. 18GOFE“ሄኮ ታ ዶርዳ አይለይ፥ ታ ዶሰይስ፥ ታና ኡፋይሰይስ፥ ታኒ ታ አያና፥ እያ ቦላ ሸምፕሳና፤ እ፥ አይሁደ ግዶና ደርያስ ሱረ ፕርዳባ አዋጃና።BSBBSB: “Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19. 19GOFEእ ፓላመና ዎይኮ ካጨና፤ ባ ቃላካ ደንባን ጮ ስሰና።BSBBSB: He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets.
20. 20GOFEሱረ ፕርዳን ፆኖ ደማና ጋካናዉ፥ ድንጨትዳ ማይረ መንና፥ ጩይያ ሙቃዳ ቶይሰና።BSBBSB: A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory.
21. 21GOFEአይሁደ ግዶና ደረይ ኡባይ እያን ኡፋይስ ዎꬃና” ያግድ ፃፍዳይስ ፖለታና መላሳ።BSBBSB: In His name the nations will put their hope.”
22. 22GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ ቱና አያናን ኦይከትዳ ቆቀነ ሙመ አሰ ደኤይሳ እያኮ ኤህዶሶና። የሱሲ ኡራ ፓꬅን፥ ኡራይ ፄልስ፤ ኦደትስ።BSBBSB: Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.
23. 23GOFEአሳ ኡባይ ማላለትድ፥ “ሀይስ ዳዊታ ናኣ ግዳንደሻ?” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24. 24GOFEሽን ፋርሳወት ሄሳ ስእድ፥ “ሀ ኡራይ ቱና አያናታ ከሰይ ቱና አያናታ ሀላቃ ብኤል-ዘቡላ ዎልቃና” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
25. 25GOFEየሱሲ ኤንታ ቆፋ ኤርድ፥ “ዎል ግዶን ሻከትያ ካዎተꬃ ኡባይ ኩንዳና፤ ቃስ ዎል ግዶን ሻከትያ ካታማይ ዎይኮ ኬꬃይ ምንድ ኤቀና።BSBBSB: Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
26. 26GOFEፃላሄይ ፃላሄ ከስያባ ግድኮ ባ ግዶን ሻከትስ ጉሱ። ሄሳꬆ ሀንያባ ግድኮ እያ ካዎተꬃይ ዋንድ ምንድ ኤቃናዉ ዳንዳኢ?BSBBSB: If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
27. 27GOFEታኒ ቱና አያና ከሰይ ብኤል-ዘቡላ ዎልቃን ግድኮ ህንተና ካልያ አሳት ኦደ ዎልቃን ከሳኔ? ሄሳ ግሾ፥ ህንተና ካልያ አሳት ህንተና ፕርዳና።BSBBSB: And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
28. 28GOFEሽን ታኒ ቱና አያናታ ከሰይ ፆሳ አያናን ግድኮ፥ ፆሳ ካዎተꬃይ ህንተኮ ይስ።BSBBSB: But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29. 29GOFE“ዎይኮ እስ አስ ዎልቃማ አሳ ሶ ገልድ እያ ሻሉዋ ቦንቃናዉ ኮይኮ ኮይሮትድ ሄ ኡራ ቃቾና እፅኮ ዋትድ ዳንዳኢ? ያትኮ እያ ሻሉዋ ቦንቃናዉ ዳንዳኤስ።BSBBSB: Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30. 30GOFE“ታራ ግዶናይ ኦንካ ታራ ኤቀቴስ፤ ቃስ ታራ እስፈ ሺሾና ኡባይ ላሌስ።BSBBSB: He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
31. 31GOFEሄሳ ግሾ፥ ስእተ፤ አሳይ ኦꬅያ አይ ናጋርነ ጫሻ ቃል ኡባይ አቶ ጌተታና፥ ሽን ጌሻ አያና ጫይያ ኦደስካ እያ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተተና።BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
32. 32GOFEኦንካ አሳ ናአ ቦላ ኢታባ ኦደትኮ እያዉ አቶ ጌተታና፥ ሽን ጌሻ አያና ቦላ ኢታባ ኦደትያ ኦደስካ ሀ ሳአን ግድን ያና አላምያን እያ ናጋራይ አቶ ጌተተና።BSBBSB: Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
33. 33GOFE“ሎኦ ምꬃይ ሎኦ አይፈ አይፌስ፤ ቃስ ኢታ ምꬃይ ኢታ አይፌስ። ህዛ፥ ምꬃይ ኤረተይ ባ አይፍያና።BSBBSB: Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.
34. 34GOFEህንተኖ፥ ሾሻ ናይቶ፥ ህንተ ኢታ ግድሸ ዋንድ ሎኦባ ኦደታናዉ ዳንዳኤቲ? አስ ባ ዎዛናን ኩምዳባፐ ዶናን ኦደቴስ።BSBBSB: You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
35. 35GOFEሎኦ አስ ባ ዎዛናን ዎꬅዳ ሎኦባፐ፥ ሎኦባ ከሴስ፤ ኢታ አስ ባ ዎዛናን ዎꬅዳ ኢታባፐ፥ ኢታባ ከሴስ።BSBBSB: The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.
36. 36GOFEሽን ስእተ፥ አሳይ ኦደትያ ጮ ኦዳ ኡባስ ፕርዳ ጋላስ ዛሮ እማና።BSBBSB: But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
37. 37GOFEአይስ ጊኮ፥ ነ ኦደትያ ነ ቃላን ፅላና፤ ነ ኦደትያ ነ ቃላይ ነ ቦላ ፕርዳና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
38. 38GOFEሄሳፈ ጉየ፥ እስ እስ ፋርሳወትነ ህገ አስታማረት የሱሳኮ፥ “አስታማርያዉ፥ ኔኒ ማላታ ኦꬃዳ ኑና በሳ” ያግዶሶና።BSBBSB: Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
39. 39GOFEሽን የሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “አማነቶናነ ኢታ የለተꬃይ ማላታ ኮዬስ። ሽን ናብያ ዮናሳ ማላታፐ ሀራ ማላት እያዉ እመተና።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40. 40GOFEዮናስ ግታ ሞሎ ኡሎን ሄꬑ ጋላስነ ሄꬑ ቃማ ጋምእዳይሳ መላ አሳ ናአይ ሄꬑ ጋላስነ ሄꬑ ቃማ ቢታ ጋርሳን ጋምአና።BSBBSB: For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41. 41GOFEናናወ አሳይ ፕርዳ ጋላስ ደንድድ ሀ የለተꬃ ቦላ ፕርዳና፤ አይስ ጊኮ፥ ኤንቲ ዮናስ ሳባክን፥ ስእድ ባንታ ናጋራፐ ስምዶሶና። ሄኮ፥ ዮናሳፐ አይስ ሀይሳን ደኤስ።BSBBSB: The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
42. 42GOFEፕርዳ ጋላስ ዱገሀ ካውያ ደንዳዳ ሀ የለተꬃ ቦላ ፕርዳና፤ አይስ ጊኮ፥ እያ ሶሎሞነ ጭንጫተꬃ ስአናዉ ቢታ ጋፃፐ ያሱ። ሄኮ፥ ሶሎሞነፐ አይ ሀይሳን ደኤስ።BSBBSB: The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
43. 43GOFE“ቱና አያናይ አሳፐ ከይዳፐ ጉየ ባዉ ሸምፕያ በሲ ኮይድ ሃꬅ ባይና መላ በሳን ዳቡሬስ፥ ሽን ባ ኮይያ ሸምፑዋ ደመና።BSBBSB: When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
44. 44GOFEያንን፥ ‘ታ አጋ ከይዳ ኬꬃ ስማዳ ባና’ ያጌስ። እ ስምያ ዎደ ኬꬃይ ካይስ ግደይሳነ ፕተትድ ጊግድ ኡትዳይሳ ደሜስ።BSBBSB: Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.
45. 45GOFEህዛ፥ ስም ብድ፥ ባፐ ኢትያ ሀራ ላፑን ኢታ አያናታ ኤክድ ዬስ፤ ኤንትካ ኡራ ግዶ ገልድ ደኦሶና። ሄ ኡራስ ካሰይሳፈ ጉየይስ ዳሮ ኢቴስ። ሀ ኢታ የለተꬃ ቦላ ሄሳ መላ ሀናና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
46. 46GOFEየሱሲ ደርያስ ኦዳ ቦላ ደእሽን እያ አያነ እያ እሻት እያ ኦድሳናዉ ኮይድ ካረን ኤቅዶሶና።BSBBSB: While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
47. 47GOFEእስ አስ እያኮ፥ “ነ አያነ ነ እሻት ነና ኦድሳናዉ ኮይድ ካረን ኤቅዶሶና” ያግስ።BSBBSB: Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
48. 48GOFEየሱሲ ዛሪድ፥ “ታ አይያ ኦኔ? ታ እሻትካ ኦናንቴ?” ያግስ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
49. 49GOFEባ ኩሽያራ ታማረታ ማልሸ፥ “በእተ፥ ታ አያነ ታ እሻት ሀይሳታ።BSBBSB: Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
50. 50GOFEሳሎን ደእያ ታ አዋ ሸንያ ኦꬅያ ኡባይ ታ እሻ፥ ታ ምቾነ ታ አዮ” ያግስ።BSBBSB: For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
