39 UDB જેમ તેઓ હંમેશાં કરતા હતા, તેમ ઈસુ શહેર છોડીને જૈતૂન પહાડ પર ગયા; તેમના શિષ્યો તેમની સાથે ગયા. BSB BSB: Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
40 UDB જ્યાં તેઓ જવા માગતા હતા તે સ્થળ પાસે તેઓ આવ્યા ત્યારે, તેમણે તેઓને કહ્યું, "પ્રાર્થના કરો કે જેથી પાપ કરવા તમે પરીક્ષણમાં ન પડો, માટે ઈશ્વર તમને મદદ કરે." BSB BSB: When He came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”

47 UDB જ્યારે ઈસુ હજી બોલતા હતા, ત્યારે લોકોનું એક ટોળું તેમની પાસે આવ્યું. યહૂદા, બાર શિષ્યોમાંનો એક, તેમને દોરી રહ્યો હતો. તે ચૂંબન કરવા માટે ઈસુ પાસે આવ્યો. BSB BSB: While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.
48 UDB પરંતુ ઈસુએ તેને કહ્યું, "યહૂદા, શું તું મને, માણસના દીકરાને, મારા દુશ્મનોને સોંપી દેવા ખરેખર ચૂમીશ?" BSB BSB: But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”

50 UDB તેમાંના એકે મુખ્ય યાજકના નોકરને ઘા કર્યો, પરંતુ તેનો જમણો કાન જ કાપ્યો. BSB BSB: And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
51 UDB પરંતુ ઈસુએ કહ્યું, "તેનાથી કંઈ વધારે કરીશ નહિ." પછી તેમણે નોકરના કાનને સ્પર્શ કર્યો અને તેને સાજો કર્યો. BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.

BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?
54 UDB તેઓએ ઈસુને પકડ્યા અને તેમને દૂર લઇ ગયા. તેઓ તેમને મુખ્ય યાજકના ઘરે લાવ્યા. પિતર દૂરથી તેમનો પીછો કરી રહ્યો હતો. BSB BSB: Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.
55 UDB લોકોએ આંગણાની મધ્યમાં આગ સળગાવી અને સાથે બેઠા. પિતર તેમની વચ્ચે બેઠો. BSB BSB: When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 UDB જેવી આગ તેના પર પ્રકાશી એટલે એક દાસીએ પિતરને ત્યાં બેઠેલો જોયો. તેણે તેના તરફ ધ્યાનથી જોયું અને કહ્યું, "આ માણસ પણ જેની તેઓએ ધરપકડ કરી છે તેની સાથે હતો!" BSB BSB: A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.
57 UDB પરંતુ તેણે તે નકારતા કહ્યું, "બાઈ, હું તેને ઓળખતો નથી!" BSB BSB: But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.
58 UDB થોડા સમય પછી બીજા કોઈએ પિતરને જોયો અને કહ્યું, "જેની તેઓએ ધરપકડ કરી છે તેની સાથે જેઓ હતા તેઓમાંનો તું પણ એક છે!" પરંતુ પિતરે કહ્યું, "ભાઈ, હું તેઓમાનો એક નથી!" BSB BSB: A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
59 UDB આશરે એક કલાક પછી બીજા કોઈએ મોટેથી કહ્યું, "આ માણસ જેવી રીતે બોલે છે તે બતાવે છે કે તે ગાલીલ પ્રાંતનો છે. નિશ્ચે આ માણસ પણ જેની તેઓએ ધરપકડ કરી છે તેની સાથે હતો!" BSB BSB: About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”
60 UDB પરંતુ પિતરે કહ્યું, "ભાઈ, તું શેના વિષે વાત કરી રહ્યો છે તે હું જાણતો નથી!" તે બોલતો હતો તેટલામાં, તરત જ મરઘો બોલ્યો. BSB BSB: “Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
61 UDB પ્રભુ ઈસુ પાછળ ફર્યા અને પિતર સામે જોયું. ત્યારે પ્રભુએ તેને જે કહ્યું હતું તે પિતરને યાદ આવ્યું કે, "આ રાત્રે, મરઘો બોલ્યા પહેલા, તું ત્રણ વાર મારો ઇનકાર કરીશ કે તું મને ઓળખે છે." BSB BSB: And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
62 UDB અને તે આંગણામાંથી બહાર ગયો અને ભારે ખેદ સાથે રડ્યો. BSB BSB: And he went outside and wept bitterly.

65 UDB તેઓએ તેમનું અપમાન કરતાં તેમના વિષે ઘણી ખરાબ બાબતો કહી. BSB BSB: And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.
66 UDB બીજી સવારે પરોઢીએ, ઘણા યહૂદી આગેવાનો એકઠાં થયા. આ જૂથમાં મુખ્ય યાજકો અને જે માણસો યહૂદી નિયમ શીખવતા હતા તેઓ હતા. તેઓ ઈસુને યહૂદી સભાગૃહમાં લઈ ગયા. ત્યાં તેઓએ તેમને કહ્યું, BSB BSB: At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,
67 UDB "જો તું મસીહા હોય તો, અમને કહે!" પરંતુ તેમણે જવાબ આપ્યો, "જો હું કહું કે હું તે છું, તોપણ તમે મારો વિશ્વાસ નહિ કરો. BSB BSB: “If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.
68 UDB જો હું તમને પૂછું કે તમે મસીહા વિષે શું વિચારો છો, તો તમે જવાબ નહિ આપો. BSB BSB: And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.
69 UDB પરંતુ હવેથી, હું, માણસનો દીકરો, સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વરની બાજુમાં બેસીને રાજ કરીશ!" BSB BSB: But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
70 UDB પછી તે બધાએ પૂછ્યું, "જો એવું હોય તો, શું તું કહે છે કે તું ઈશ્વરનો દીકરો છે?" તેમણે જવાબ આપ્યો, "હા, તમે જે કહો છો તેમ જ છે." BSB BSB: So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”
