4 ULB માણસની વસ્તીથી દૂર તેઓ ખાણ ખોદે છે. ત્યાંથી પસાર થનાર તે ખાણ વિષે જાણતા નથી, તેઓ માણસોથી દૂર લટકે છે તેઓ આમતેમ ઝૂલે છે. BSB BSB: Far from human habitation he cuts a shaft in places forgotten by the foot of man. Far from men he dangles and sways.
5 ULB ધરતીમાંથી અનાજ ઊગે છે અને તેની નીચે તો જાણે અગ્નિથી ઊકળતો હોય એવું છે. BSB BSB: Food may come from the earth, but from below it is transformed as by fire.
6 ULB તેના ખડકોમાંથી નીલમણિઓ મળે છે, અને તેમાંથી સોનાના ગઠ્ઠા નીકળે છે. BSB BSB: Its rocks are the source of sapphires, containing flecks of gold.
7 ULB કોઈ શિકારી પક્ષી તે રસ્તો જાણતું નથી. બાજ પક્ષીની આંખે પણ તે રસ્તો જોયો નથી. BSB BSB: No bird of prey knows that path; no falcon’s eye has seen it.
8 ULB વિકરાળ પશુ પણ ત્યાં પહોંચ્યું નથી. મદોન્મત સિંહના પગ પણ ત્યાં પડ્યા નથી. BSB BSB: Proud beasts have never trodden it; no lion has ever prowled over it.
9 ULB તે ચકમકના ખડક પર પોતાનો હાથ લંબાવે છે. તે પર્વતોને સમૂળગા ઊંધા વાળે છે. BSB BSB: The miner strikes the flint; he overturns mountains at their base.
10 ULB તે ખડકોમાંથી ભોંયરાઓ ખોદી કાઢે છે, અને તેમની આંખ દરેક મૂલ્યવાન વસ્તુને જુએ છે. BSB BSB: He hews out channels in the rocks, and his eyes spot every treasure.
11 ULB તે નદીઓને વહેતી બંધ કરે છે અને ગુપ્ત બાબતો પ્રગટમાં લાવે છે. BSB BSB: He stops up the sources of the streams to bring what is hidden to light.
12 ULB પરંતુ તમને બુદ્ધિ ક્યાંથી મળે? અને સમજશકિતનું સ્થળ ક્યાં છે? BSB BSB: But where can wisdom be found, and where does understanding dwell?
13 ULB મનુષ્ય ડહાપણની કિંમત જાણતો નથી; પૃથ્વી પરના લોકોમાં જ્ઞાન મળતું નથી. BSB BSB: No man can know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living.
14 ULB ઊંડાણ કહે છે, 'તે મારી પાસે નથી;' મહાસાગરો કહે છે, 'તે મારી પાસે નથી.' BSB BSB: The ocean depths say, ‘It is not in me,’ while the sea declares, ‘It is not with me.’
15 ULB તે સોનાથી ખરીદી શકાય નહિ. તેની કિંમત બદલ ચાંદી પણ પર્યાપ્ત નથી. BSB BSB: It cannot be bought with gold, nor can its price be weighed out in silver.
16 ULB ઓફીરના સોનાને ધોરણે કે મૂલ્યવાન ગોમેદ કે નીલમને ધોરણે તેની કિંમત થાય નહિ. BSB BSB: It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, in precious onyx or sapphire.
17 ULB સોના કે હીરા સાથે તેની તુલના થઈ શકે તેમ નથી. કે, ચોખ્ખા સોનાનાં આભૂષણ પણ તેને તોલે આવે નહિ. BSB BSB: Neither gold nor crystal can compare to it, nor jewels of fine gold be exchanged for it.
18 ULB પરવાળાં કે સ્ફટિકમણિનું તો નામ જ ના લેવું; જ્ઞાનની કિંમત તો માણેક કરતાં પણ વધુ ઊંચી છે. BSB BSB: Coral and quartz are unworthy of mention; the price of wisdom is beyond rubies.
19 ULB કૂશ દેશનો પોખરાજ પણ તેની બરોબરી કરી શકે નહિ, શુદ્ધ સોનાથી પણ તેની બરોબરી થાય નહિ. BSB BSB: Topaz from Cush cannot compare to it, nor can it be valued in pure gold.
20 ULB ત્યારે બુદ્ધિ ક્યાંથી આવે છે? અને સમજશકિતનું સ્થળ ક્યાં છે? BSB BSB: From where, then, does wisdom come, and where does understanding dwell?
21 ULB કેમ કે દરેક સજીવ વસ્તુથી તે છુપાયેલું છે. આકાશના પક્ષીઓથી પણ તે ગુપ્ત રખાયેલું છે. BSB BSB: It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing and concealed from the birds of the air.
22 ULB વિનાશ તથા મૃત્યુ કહે છે, 'અમે અમારા કાનોએ તેની અફવા સાંભળી છે.' BSB BSB: Abaddon and Death say, ‘We have heard a rumor about it.’
23 ULB ઈશ્વર જ તેનો માર્ગ જાણે છે, અને તે જ તેનું સ્થળ જાણે છે. BSB BSB: But God understands its way, and He knows its place.
24 ULB કેમ કે ધરતીના છેડા સુધી તેમની નજર પહોંચે છે, આકાશની નીચે તે બધું જોઈ શકે છે. BSB BSB: For He looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.
25 ULB ઈશ્વર પવનનું વજન કરે છે, હા, તે પાણીને માપથી માપી નાખે છે. BSB BSB: When God fixed the weight of the wind and measured out the waters,
