1 ULB અલીહૂએ બોલવાનું ચાલુ રાખતા કહ્યું કે, BSB BSB: And Elihu went on to say:
2 ULB તું એમ ધારે છે કે, તું નિર્દોષ છે? તું એમ કહે છે કે, 'ઈશ્વર કરતા મારું ન્યાયીપણું અધિક છે?' BSB BSB: “Do you think this is just? You say, ‘I am more righteous than God.’
3 ULB તું એમ માને છે કે, 'હું ન્યાયી છું તો તેનાથી મને શો ફાયદો? મેં પાપ કર્યું હોત તો તેના કરતા વધારે મને શો ફાયદો?' BSB BSB: For you ask, ‘What does it profit me, and what benefit do I gain apart from sin?’
4 ULB હું તને તથા તારા મિત્રોને, જવાબ આપીશ. BSB BSB: I will reply to you and to your friends as well.
5 ULB ઊંચે આકાશમાં જો; વાદળાં જો, જે તારા કરતાં કેટલા ઊંચા છે? BSB BSB: Look to the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds high above you.
6 ULB જો તમે પાપ કર્યું છે, તો તેમાં તમે ઈશ્વરને કેવી રીતે નુકશાન પહોંચાડો છો? જો તારા અપરાધો પુષ્કળ વધી જાય, તો તેની વિરુદ્ધ તું શું કરે છે? BSB BSB: If you sin, what do you accomplish against Him? If you multiply your transgressions, what do you do to Him?
7 ULB જો તું ન્યાયી હોય, તો તું તેમને શું આપી દે છે? તેઓને તારી પાસેથી શું મળવાનું છે? BSB BSB: If you are righteous, what do you give Him, or what does He receive from your hand?
8 ULB તારી દુષ્ટતા બીજા માણસને નુકશાન કરે છે, જેમ તું પણ માણસ છે તેમ. પણ તારા ન્યાયીપણાથી બીજા માણસનાં દીકરાને ફાયદો થાય છે. BSB BSB: Your wickedness affects only a man like yourself, and your righteousness only a son of man.
9 ULB જુલમની વૃદ્ધિથી લોકો રુદન કરે છે; તેઓ બળવાન લોકો પાસે મદદને માટે બૂમ પાડે છે BSB BSB: Men cry out under great oppression; they plead for relief from the arm of the mighty.
10 ULB પણ કોઈ એમ કહેતું નથી, 'મારા સર્જનહાર ઈશ્વર ક્યાં છે, જે મને રાત્રે ગાયન આપે છે, BSB BSB: But no one asks, ‘Where is God my Maker, who gives us songs in the night,
11 ULB જેમણે આપણને પૃથ્વી પરના પશુઓ કરતાં, અને આકાશના પક્ષીઓ કરતા વધારે સમજદાર બનાવ્યા છે?' BSB BSB: who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the air?’
12 ULB તેઓ પોકાર કરે છે, પણ દુષ્ટ માણસનાં અભિમાનને કારણે કોઈ તેમને સાંભળતું નથી. BSB BSB: There they cry out, but He does not answer, because of the pride of evil men.
13 ULB નિશ્ચે ઈશ્વર દંભીઓની માંગણીઓ સાંભળશે નહિ; સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વર તેઓ તરફ ધ્યાન આપશે નહિ. BSB BSB: Surely God does not listen to empty pleas, and the Almighty does not take note of it.
14 ULB તું કહે છે કે, તું તેમને જોતો નથી, ત્યારે તેઓ તારું સાંભળશે નહિ. એ કેટલું શક્ય છે, તારી સર્વ બાબતો તેમની સમક્ષ છે માટે તું તેમની રાહ જો! BSB BSB: How much less, then, when you say that you do not see Him, that your case is before Him and you must wait for Him,
15 ULB તું કહે છે કે, ઈશ્વર કોઈને ક્રોધમાં સજા કરતા નથી ત્યારે તેઓ તારું સાંભળશે નહિ. એ કેટલું શક્ય છે. અને તેઓ લોકોના અભિમાનની કદર કરતા નથી. BSB BSB: and further, that in His anger He has not punished or taken much notice of folly!
16 ULB "તેથી અયૂબ, તેની અર્થ વગરની વાતો કરે છે; અને તે અજ્ઞાની શબ્દો ઉચ્ચારે છે." BSB BSB: So Job opens his mouth in vain and multiplies words without knowledge.”
