Psalm 106 (ULB)

1યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરો. યહોવાહનો આભાર માનો, કારણ કે તે ઉત્તમ છે, કેમ કે તેમની કૃપા સદાકાળ ટકે છે.Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.

2યહોવાહનાં મહાન કૃત્યો કોણ વર્ણવી શકે? અથવા તેમની સંપૂર્ણ સ્તુતિ કોણ કરી શકે?Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?

3જેઓ ન્યાયને અનુસરે છે અને જેઓના કામો હંમેશાં ન્યાયી છે તે આશીર્વાદિત છે.Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.

4હે યહોવાહ, જ્યારે તમે તમારા લોકો પર કૃપા કરો, ત્યારે મને યાદ રાખજો; જ્યારે તમે તેઓને બચાવો ત્યારે મને સહાય કરજો.Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,

5જેથી હું તમારા પસંદ કરેલાઓનું ભલું જોઉં, તમારી પ્રજાના આનંદમાં હું આનંદ માણું અને તમારા વારસાની સાથે હું હર્ષનાદ કરું.that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.

6અમારા પિતૃઓની જેમ અમે પણ પાપ કર્યુ છે; અમે અન્યાય કર્યા છે અને અમે દુષ્ટતા કરી છે.We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.

7મિસરમાંના તમારાં ચમત્કારોમાંથી અમારા પિતૃઓ કંઈ સમજ્યા નહિ; તેઓએ તમારી કૃપાનાં કાર્યોની અવગણના કરી; તેઓએ સમુદ્ર પાસે, એટલે રાતા સમુદ્ર પાસે તમારી વિરુદ્ધ બંડ પોકાર્યું.Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.

8તોપણ તમે પોતાના નામની ખાતર તેઓને બચાવ્યા કે જેથી તમે પોતાના લોકોને તમારું પરાક્રમ બતાવી શકો.Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.

9પ્રભુએ રાતા સમુદ્રને ધમકાવ્યો, એટલે તે સુકાઈ ગયો. એ પ્રમાણે તેમણે જાણે અરણ્યમાં હોય, તેમ ઊંડાણોમાં થઈને તેઓને દોર્યા.He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.

10જેઓ તેઓને ધિક્કારે છે તેઓના હાથમાંથી તેમણે તેઓને બચાવ્યા અને દુશ્મનના પરાક્રમથી તેઓને છોડાવ્યા.He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11તેઓના દુશ્મનો પર પાણી ફરી વળ્યું; તેઓમાંનો એક પણ બચ્યો નહિ.The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.

12ત્યારે તેઓએ તેમની વાતો પર વિશ્વાસ રાખ્યો અને તેઓએ તેમનાં સ્તોત્ર ગાયા.Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.

13પણ તેઓ તેમનાં કરેલાં કૃત્યો પાછા જલદીથી ભૂલી ગયા; તેમની સલાહ સાંભળવાને તેઓએ ધીરજ રાખી નહિ.Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.

14અરણ્યમાં તેઓએ ઘણી જ દુર્વાસના કરી અને તેઓએ રાનમાં ઈશ્વરને પડકાર આપ્યો.They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.

15તેમણે તેઓની માગણીઓ પ્રમાણે તેઓને આપ્યું, પણ તેઓના આત્મામાં નબળાઈ મોકલી.So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.

16તેઓએ છાવણીમાં મૂસાની ઈર્ષ્યા કરી અને યહોવાહના પવિત્ર યાજક હારુનની અદેખાઈ કરી.In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.

17ભૂમિ ફાટીને દાથાનને ગળી ગઈ અને અબિરામના સમુદાયને ભૂમિમાં ઉતારી દીધો.The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.

18તેઓના સમુદાયમાં અગ્નિ સળગી પ્રગટ્યો; અગ્નિએ દુષ્ટોને બાળી નાખ્યા.Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.

19તેઓએ હોરેબ આગળ વાછરડો બનાવ્યો અને ઢાળેલી મૂર્તિની પૂજા કરી.At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.

20તેઓએ આ પ્રમાણે તેમના મહિમાવંત ઈશ્વરને બદલી નાખ્યા, કેમ કે ઘાસ ખાનાર બળદની પ્રતિમા પસંદ કરીને પોતાનો મહિમા બદલ્યો.They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.

21તેઓ પોતાના બચાવનાર ઈશ્વરને ભૂલી ગયા, કે જેમણે મિસરમાં અદ્દભુત કાર્યો કર્યાં હતાં.They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,

22તેમણે હામના દેશમાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કામો તથા લાલ સમુદ્ર પાસે ભયંકર કામો કર્યાં હતાં.wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.

23તેમણે તેઓનો સંહાર કરવાને કહ્યું પણ તેઓનો સંહાર કરવાને થયેલા કોપને શમાવવાને માટે તેમનો પસંદ કરેલો મૂસા વચ્ચે પડ્યો અને પ્રભુની સમક્ષ આવીને ઊભો રહ્યો.So He said He would destroy them—had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.

24પછી તેમણે તે ફળદ્રુપ દેશને તુચ્છ ગણ્યો; તેઓએ તેના વચનનો વિશ્વાસ કર્યો નહિ.They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.

25પણ તેઓ પોતાના તંબુઓમાં કચકચ કરીને યહોવાહને આધીન થયા નહિ.They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.

26તેથી તેમણે તેઓને માટે શપથ લીધા કે તેઓ અરણ્યમાં નાશ પામે.So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,

27વિદેશીઓમાં તેઓના વંશજોને વિખેરી નાખ્યા અને દેશપરદેશમાં તેઓને વિખેરી નાખ્યા.to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.

28તેઓએ બઆલ-પેઓરની પૂજા કરી અને અર્પણને માટે અર્પિત કરેલા મૃતદેહનો ભક્ષ કર્યો.They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.

29એ પ્રમાણે તેઓએ પોતાની કરણીઓથી તેમને ચીડવ્યા અને તેઓમાં મરકી ફાટી નીકળી.So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.

30પછી ફીનહાસે ઊભા થઈને મધ્યસ્થી કરી અને મરકી અટકી ગઈ.But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.

31આ તેનું કામ તેના લાભમાં પેઢી દરપેઢી સર્વકાળ માટે ન્યાયીપણાને અર્થે ગણવામાં આવ્યું.It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.

32મરીબાહના પાણીના સંબંધમાં પણ તેઓએ તેમને ખીજ્વ્યા અને તેઓને લીધે મૂસાને સહન કરવું પડ્યું.At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.

33તેઓએ મૂસાને ઉશ્કેર્યો અને તે અવિચારીપણે બોલવા લાગ્યો.For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.

34જેમ યહોવાહે તેઓને આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તેમ, તેઓએ તે લોકોનો નાશ કર્યો નહિ.They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,

35પણ તેઓ પ્રજાઓ સાથે ભળી ગયા અને તેઓના માર્ગો અપનાવ્યા.but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.

36અને તેઓની મૂર્તિઓની પૂજા કરી, તે તેઓને ફાંદા રૂપ થઈ પડી.They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.

37તેઓએ પોતાનાં દીકરા તથા દીકરીઓનું દુષ્ટાત્માઓને બલિદાન આપ્યું.They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.

38તેઓએ નિર્દોષ લોહી, એટલે પોતાનાં દીકરાદીકરીઓનું લોહી વહેવડાવ્યું, તેનું તેઓએ કનાનની મૂર્તિઓને બલિદાન કર્યુ, લોહીથી દેશને અશુદ્ધ કર્યો.They shed innocent blood—the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.

39તેમનાં દુષ્ટ કાર્યોથી તેઓ અપવિત્ર બન્યા તેમનાં કાર્યોમાં તેઓ અવિશ્વાસુ થયા.They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.

40તેથી યહોવાહ પોતાના લોકો પર ગુસ્સે થયા અને તે પોતાના લોકોથી કંટાળી ગયા.So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.

41તેમણે તેઓને વિદેશીઓના હાથમાં સોંપી દીધા અને જેઓ તેમને ધિક્કારતા હતા, તેઓએ તેમના પર રાજ કર્યું.He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.

42તેઓના શત્રુઓએ પણ તેઓને કચડ્યા અને તેઓના અધિકાર નીચે પડીને તેઓ તાબેદાર થયા.Their enemies oppressed them and subdued them under their hand.

43ઘણી વાર તે તેમની મદદે આવ્યા, પણ તેઓએ બંડ કરવાનું ચાલું રાખ્યું અને પોતાના પાપને લીધે તેઓ પાયમાલ થયા.Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.

44તેમ છતાં તેઓની પ્રાર્થનાઓ સાંભળીને તેમણે તેઓનું સંકટ લક્ષમાં લીધું.Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.

45તેઓની સાથે કરેલો તેમનો કરાર યાદ કર્યો અને પોતાની પુષ્કળ દયાને લીધે પસ્તાવો કર્યો.And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.

46તેમણે તેઓને બંદીવાન કરનારાઓની પાસે તેમના પર કરુણા કરાવી.He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.

47હે યહોવાહ, અમારા ઈશ્વર, અમારો બચાવ કરો. વિદેશીઓમાંથી અમને એકત્ર કરો કે જેથી અમે તમારા પવિત્ર નામનો આભાર માનીએ અને સ્તુતિ કરીને તમારો મહિમા કરીએ.Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.

48હે ઇઝરાયલના ઈશ્વર યહોવાહ, તમે અનાદિકાળથી અનંતકાળ સુધી સ્તુત્ય મનાઓ. સર્વ લોકોએ કહ્યું, "આમીન." યહોવાહની સ્તુતિ કરો.Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
