They believe for a season, but in the time of testing, they fall away.

Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.

Whoever has will be given more, but whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”
19 HGLT फिर उसकी माता और उसके भाई उससे मिलने आए, परन्तु भीड़ के कारण वे उसके पास नहीं जा पाए। BSB BSB: Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him, but they were unable to reach Him because of the crowd.
20 HGLT फिर उसे ऐसा सूचित किया गया,“तेरी माता और तेरे भाई बाहर खड़े हुए हैं, और तुझे देखना चाहते हैं।” BSB BSB: He was told, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.”
21 HGLT परन्तु उत्तर देते हुए, उसने उनसे कहा,“मेरी माता और मेरे भाई वे ही हैं जो परमेश्वर का वचन सुनते और मानते हैं।” BSB BSB: But He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and carry it out.”
22 HGLT और ऐसा हुआ कि, उस दिनों में से एक में, वह और उसके चेले एक नाव पर चढ़ गए, और उसने उनसे कहा,“आओ हम झील के पार दूसरी ओर चलें।” अतः वे निकल पड़े। BSB BSB: One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side of the lake.” So He got into a boat with them and set out.
23 HGLT परन्तु जब वे जलयात्रा कर रहे थे, तो उसे नींद आ गई। तब उस झील पर आँधी आई, और वे भर जा रहे थे और संकट में थे। BSB BSB: As they sailed, He fell asleep, and a windstorm came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24 HGLT तब वे उसके पास पहुँचे और यह कहकर, उसे जगाया,“हे स्वामी! हे स्वामी! हम नाश हो रहे हैं!” परन्तु वह जाग उठा, और उसने आँधी को और पानी की लहरों को डाँटा और वे थम गए, और वहाँ शान्ति हो गई। BSB BSB: The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters, and they subsided, and all was calm.
25 HGLT फिर उसने उनसे कहा,“तुम्हारा विश्वास कहाँ है?” तब वे डर गए और अचम्भित होकर, एक दूसरे से कहने लगे,“यह कौन है, कि यह आँधी और पानी को भी आदेश देता है, और वे उसकी मानते हैं?” BSB BSB: “Where is your faith?” He asked. Frightened and amazed, they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!”
26 HGLT और वे खेते हुए गिरासेनियों के प्रदेश को गए, जो गलील के दूसरी ओर है। BSB BSB: Then they sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, across the lake from Galilee.
27 HGLT और जब वह स्थल पर उतरा, तो उस नगर का एक मनुष्य उसे मिला, जिसमें दुष्टात्माएँ थीं। और लम्बे समय से उसने कपड़े नहीं पहने थे, और वह घर में नहीं, परन्तु कब्रों में रहा करता था। BSB BSB: When Jesus stepped ashore, He was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothing or lived in a house, but he stayed in the tombs.
28 HGLT और जब उसने यीशु को देखा, तो वह चिल्ला पड़ा, और उसके सामने गिर गया, और ऊँचे स्वर से कहा,“हे परमप्रधान परमेश्वर के पुत्र, यीशु, मेरा और तेरा आपस में क्या लेना- देना? मैं तुझ से विनती करता हूँ, मुझे पीड़ा न दे।” BSB BSB: When the man saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before Him, shouting in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You not to torture me!”

Many times it had seized him, and though he was bound with chains and shackles, he had broken the chains and been driven by the demon into solitary places.

31 HGLT और वे उससे विनती कर रही थीं कि वह उनको अथाह गड्ढे में जाने की आज्ञा न दे। BSB BSB: And the demons kept begging Jesus not to order them to go into the Abyss.
32 HGLT और वहाँ पहाड़ पर सूअरों का एक बड़ा झुण्ड चर रहा था, और उन्होंने उससे विनती की कि उनको उनमें जाने की अनुमति प्रदान करे। और उसने उन्हें अनुमति दे दी। BSB BSB: There on the hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding. So the demons begged Jesus to let them enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.
33 HGLT तब वे दुष्टात्माएँ उस मनुष्य से निकल गईं और उन सूअरों में प्रवेश कर गईं, और वह झुण्ड खड़ी ढलान पर से झपटकर झील में जा गिरा और डूब गया। BSB BSB: Then the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.
34 HGLT और जो सूअरों की देखरेख कर रहे थे जब उन्होंने जो हुआ था उसे देखा, तो वे भाग गए और नगर में और गाँव में जाकर इसकी सूचना दी। BSB BSB: When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside.

They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 HGLT तब जिन्होंने देखा था उन्होंने उनको सूचित किया कि उस मनुष्य को किस प्रकार से बचाया गया था जो दुष्टात्माओं के वश में था। BSB BSB: Meanwhile, those who had seen it reported how the demon-possessed man had been healed.
37 HGLT और गिरासेनियों के प्रदेश के सब लोगों ने उससे विनती की कि वह उनके पास से चला जाए, क्योंकि वे बड़े भयभीत हो गए थे। तब वह वापस लौटने के लिए नाव पर चढ़ गया। BSB BSB: Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart from them, because great fear had taken hold of them. So He got into the boat and started back.
38 HGLT और जिस मनुष्य में से दुष्टात्माएँ निकली थीं वह उसके साथ रहने के लिए उससे विनती करने लगा, परन्तु उसने उसे यह कहकर विदा किया, BSB BSB: The man whom the demons had left begged to go with Jesus. But He sent him away, saying,
39 HGLT “अपने घर को लौट जा और जो कुछ परमेश्वर ने तेरे लिये किया है उसका वर्णन कर।” अतः वह अपने मार्ग पर चला गया, और जो कुछ यीशु ने उसके लिए किया था वह सम्पूर्ण नगर के कोने- कोने में उस बात की घोषणा करने लगा। BSB BSB: “Return home and describe how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and proclaimed all over the town how much Jesus had done for him.
40 HGLT फिर जब यीशु लौट आया, तो भीड़ ने उसका स्वागत किया, क्योंकि वे सब उसकी प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। BSB BSB: When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed Him, for they had all been waiting for Him.
41 HGLT और देखो, एक मनुष्य आया जिसका नाम याईर था, और वह एक आराधनालय का सरदार था। और यीशु के पाँवों पर गिरकर, उसने उससे अपने घर आने के लिए विनती की। BSB BSB: Just then a synagogue leader named Jairus came and fell at Jesus’ feet. He begged Him to come to his house,

She had spent all her money on physicians, but no one was able to heal her.
44 HGLT वह पीछे से आई और उसके वस्त्र के छोर को छू लिया, और तुरन्त ही उसका लहू बहना रुक गया। BSB BSB: She came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

But they all denied it. “Master,” said Peter, “the people are crowding and pressing against You.”
46 HGLT परन्तु यीशु ने कहा,“किसी ने मुझे छुआ है, क्योंकि मैं जानता हूँ कि मुझ में से सामर्थ्य निकली है।” BSB BSB: But Jesus declared, “Someone touched Me, for I know that power has gone out from Me.”
47 HGLT तब वह स्त्री, यह देखकर कि वह छिप नहीं सकती, काँपती हुई आई और उसके सामने गिर गई। सब लोगों के सामने उसने बताया कि उसने किस कारण से उसे छुआ था, और कैसे वह तुरन्त ही चंगी हो गई थी। BSB BSB: Then the woman, seeing that she could not escape notice, came trembling and fell down before Him. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched Him and how she had immediately been healed.
48 HGLT तब उसने उससे कहा,“हे पुत्री, तेरे विश्वास ने तुझे बचा लिया है। शान्ति से चली जा।” BSB BSB: “Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
49 HGLT जिस समय वह बोल ही रहा था, किसी व्यक्ति ने आराधनालय के सरदार के यहाँ से आकर कहा,“तेरी पुत्री मर गई है। अब गुरु को परेशान मत कर।” BSB BSB: While He was still speaking, someone arrived from the house of the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he told Jairus. “Do not bother the Teacher anymore.”
50 HGLT परन्तु जब यीशु ने यह सुना, तो उसने उसे उत्तर दिया,“मत डर; केवल विश्वास रख, और वह बच जाएगी।” BSB BSB: But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
51 HGLT और जब वह घर में आया, तो पतरस और यूहन्ना और याकूब, और उस बालिका के पिता, और माता को छोड़ कर और किसी को भी अपने साथ उसने प्रवेश करने की अनुमति नहीं दी। BSB BSB: When He entered the house, He did not allow anyone to go in with Him except Peter, John, James, and the child’s father and mother.
52 HGLT और वे सब उसके लिये विलाप कर रहे थे और उसके लिए अपनी छातियाँ पीट रहे थे, परन्तु उसने कहा,“विलाप मत करो, क्योंकि वह मरी नहीं है, परन्तु सो रही है।” BSB BSB: Meanwhile, everyone was weeping and mourning for her. But Jesus said, “Stop weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”
53 HGLT और वे उस पर हँसने लगे, यह जानते हुए कि वह मर गई है। BSB BSB: And they laughed at Him, knowing that she was dead.
54 HGLT परन्तु उसने, उसके हाथ को पकड़कर, पुकारकर कहा,“हे पुत्री, उठ जा!” BSB BSB: But Jesus took her by the hand and called out, “Child, get up!”
55 HGLT और उसके प्राण लौट आए, और वह तुरन्त ही उठ खड़ी हुई, और उसने आज्ञा दी कि उसे कुछ खाने को दिया जाए। BSB BSB: Her spirit returned, and at once she got up. And He directed that she be given something to eat.
56 HGLT और उसके माता- पिता विस्मित हो गए थे, परन्तु उसने उन्हें आदेश दिया कि जो हुआ था वह किसी से न कहना। BSB BSB: Her parents were astounded, but Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
