1 IEV फसह पर्व के आरम्भ होने से छः दिन पहले यीशु बैतनिय्याह पहुँचे। बैतनिय्याह वह गाँव था जहाँ लाज़र रहता था, वह व्यक्ति जिसे यीशु ने मरे हुओं में से जीवित किया था। BSB BSB: Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

As keeper of the money bag, he used to take from what was put into it.

9 IEV यरूशलेम में यहूदियों की एक बड़ी भीड़ ने सुना कि यीशु बैतनिय्याह में हैं, इसलिए वे वहाँ आ गए। वे वहाँ केवल इसलिए नहीं आए कि यीशु वहाँ थे, वे लाज़र को देखने के लिए भी आए, जिसे यीशु ने जीवित कर दिया था। BSB BSB: Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
26 IEV यदि कोई मेरी सेवा करना चाहता है, तो उसे मेरे पीछे चलना चाहिए क्योंकि मेरे सेवक को वहाँ होना चाहिए जहाँ मैं हूँ। पिता उसका आदर करेंगे जो मेरी सेवा करेगा। BSB BSB: If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
27 IEV अब मेरी आत्मा बहुत व्याकुल है। क्या मैं यह कहूँ,‘पिताजी, उस समय से मुझे बचाओ जब मैं पीड़ित होकर मर जाऊँगा!’ नहीं, क्योंकि इसी कारण के लिए मैं इस संसार में आया हूँ। BSB BSB: Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.
28 IEV हे मेरे पिताजी, दिखाओ कि आपने जो कहा है, आपने जो किया है और आप जो कुछ हैं, उसमें आप कितने सामर्थी हैं।” तब परमेश्वर ने स्वर्ग से कहा,“मैंने अपना स्वभाव, अपने शब्द को और अपने कार्य पहले ही से प्रकट कर दिए हैं, और मैं फिर से प्रकट करूँगा।” BSB BSB: Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

So how can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

But because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue.

46 IEV मैं संसार का प्रकाश होकर संसार में आया हूँ; जो कोई मुझ पर विश्वास करता है, वह अन्धकार में नहीं रहेगा। BSB BSB: I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.
47 IEV मैं उन लोगों का न्याय नहीं करता जो मेरी बातों को सुनते हैं परन्तु उनका जो मेरी आज्ञा मानने से अस्वीकार करते हैं, मैं संसार को दोषी ठहराने के लिए संसार में नहीं आया; BSB BSB: As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
