1 UDB तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 UDB “इस्राएली लोगों से कह कि वे पीछे मुड़कर पीहाहीरोत में अपने तम्बू लगाएँ। यह नगर मिगदोल और समुन्द्र के बीच में है। वहीँ समुद्र के समीप अपने तम्बू लगाओ। BSB BSB: “Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. You are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal-zephon.
3 UDB जब राजा को यह जानकारी मिलेगी कि तुमने ऐसा किया है, तब वह सोचेगा, ‘इस्राएली जंगल में भटक गए और रेगिस्तान के कारण उनके मार्ग में रुकावट आ गयी है। उनकी समझ में नहीं आ रहा है कि अब क्या करें।' BSB BSB: For Pharaoh will say of the Israelites, ‘They are wandering the land in confusion; the wilderness has boxed them in.’
4 UDB परन्तु मैं राजा को फिर से हठीला बना दूँगा और वह अपनी सेना के साथ तुम्हारे पीछे आएगा। तब मेरे लोग राजा और उसकी सेना पर मेरी विजय के कारण मेरा गुणगान करेंगे और मिस्री लोग जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।" इसलिए मूसा ने इस्राएलियों को परमेश्वर का यह निर्देश सुनाया और उन्होंने वही किया जो मूसा ने कहा था। BSB BSB: And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart so that he will pursue them. But I will gain honor by means of Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So this is what the Israelites did.
5 UDB जब राजा को यह समाचार मिला कि इस्राएली रातों-रात वहाँ से निकल गए तब उसने और उसके कर्मचारियों ने अपना विचार बदलकर कहा, “हमने यह क्या कर दिया? इस्राएली तो हमारे दासत्व से निकल गए!”!” BSB BSB: When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them and said, “What have we done? We have released Israel from serving us.”
6 UDB राजा ने अपना रथ और अपनी सेना तैयार की। BSB BSB: So Pharaoh prepared his chariot and took his army with him.
7 UDB राजा ने छः सौ सर्वश्रेष्ठ रथों का चयन किया और प्रत्येक पर एक सारथी, एक सैनिक और एक सेनानायक थे, और वे चले गए। BSB BSB: He took 600 of the best chariots, and all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them.
8 UDB यहोवा ने मिस्र के राजा को हठीला बना दिया इसलिए उसने और उसकी सेना ने इस्राएलियों का पीछा किया। इस्राएली निश्चिन्त होकर बढ़ते चले जा रहे थे। BSB BSB: And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out defiantly.
9 UDB राजा अपने घुड़सवारों, रथों और घोड़ों के साथ इस्राएलियों के पीछे गया और बाल-सपोन के सामने पीहाहीरोत के समीप समुद्री तट पर इस्राएलियों के डेरे के निकट पहुँच गया। BSB BSB: The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, horsemen and troops—pursued the Israelites and overtook them as they camped by the sea near Pi-hahiroth, opposite Baal-zephon.
10 UDB राजा की सेना को निकट आते देख इस्राएली लोग आश्चर्यचकित हुए। इस्राएली लोग बुरी तरह से डर गए और उन्होंने सहायता के लिए यहोवा को पुकारा। BSB BSB: As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up and saw the Egyptians marching after them, and they were terrified and cried out to the LORD.
11 UDB तब उन्होंने मूसा से कहा, “क्या मिस्र में स्थान नहीं था कि हम दफ़न किए जाएँ? तू हमारी कब्रें खुदवाने के लिए हमें मरुभूमि में क्यों ले आया है? अब देख मिस्र से हमें निकालकर तूने हमारे लिए कैसा अनर्थ उत्पन्न कर दिया है। BSB BSB: They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us into the wilderness to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?
12 UDB जब हम मिस्र में थे तब हमने तुझे बताया था कि, 'हमें अकेला छोड़ दे और हमें मिस्र के लोगों के लिए काम करने दे।’ मरुभूमि में यहाँ मरने से बेहतर होता कि हम मिस्र के लोगों के दास बनकर रहते!" BSB BSB: Did we not say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone so that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”
13 UDB मूसा ने लोगों से कहा, “डरो मत! दृढ़ रहो और देखो कि आज तुम लोगों को यहोवा कैसे बचाते हैं। आज के बाद तुम लोग इन मिस्रियों को कभी नहीं देखोगे। BSB BSB: But Moses told the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the LORD’s salvation, which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.
14 UDB यहोवा तुम्हारे लिए लड़ेंगे! तुम लोगों को शान्त रहने के अतिरिक्त और कुछ नहीं करना है।" BSB BSB: The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
15 UDB तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, “इस स्थिति में तुम्हें मुझको पुकारना नहीं पड़ेगा; इस्राएल के लोगों को आगे चलने का आदेश दो। BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the Israelites to go forward.
16 UDB अपने हाथ की लाठी को लाल सागर के ऊपर उठाओ और लाल सागर फट जाएगा। तब लोग सूखी भूमि से समुद्र को पार कर सकेंगे। BSB BSB: And as for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.
17 UDB मैं मिस्रियों को हठीला बना दूँगा और वे इस्राएलियों का पीछा करेंगे। तब मैं राजा, उसकी सेना, उसके रथों और उसके घुड़सवारों के साथ जो करूँगा उसके कारण इस्राएली मेरा गुणगान करेंगे। BSB BSB: And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. Then I will gain honor by means of Pharaoh and all his army and chariots and horsemen.
18 UDB जब मैं राजा, उसके रथों और उसके घुड़सवारों पर विजयी हो जाऊँगा तब मिस्री जानेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ, ऐसा परमेश्वर जो कुछ भी कर सकता है।" BSB BSB: The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I am honored through Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
19 UDB तब परमेश्वर का दूत, जो इस्राएलियों के आगे-आगे चलता था, उनके पीछे आ गया। बादल का खम्भा लोगों के आगे से हट गया और उनके पीछे आ गया। BSB BSB: And the angel of God, who had gone before the camp of Israel, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from before them and stood behind them,
20 UDB वह मिस्र की सेना और इस्राएलियों के बीच खड़ा हुआ। उस बादल के कारण मिस्रियों पर अन्धकार छा गया परन्तु इस्राएलियों को प्रकाश मिलता रहा। इसलिए न तो इस्राएली और न ही मिस्री एक-दूसरे के निकट आ पाए। BSB BSB: so that it came between the camps of Egypt and Israel. The cloud was there in the darkness, but it lit up the night. So all night long neither camp went near the other.
21 UDB उसी शाम को मूसा ने अपना हाथ उठाया जैसे कि वह समुद्र पर हाथ फैला रहा हो। तब यहोवा ने पूर्व से एक तेज आँधी भेजी। पूरी रात आँधी समुद्र पर बहती रही और समुद्र के जल को विभाजित करके भूमि को सुखा दिया। BSB BSB: Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove back the sea with a strong east wind that turned it into dry land. So the waters were divided,
22 UDB तब इस्राएली लोग समुद्र के बीच में सूखी भूमि पर गए। समुद्र का जल बायीं ओर और दाहिनी ओर दीवार के जैसा थम गया। BSB BSB: and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on their right and on their left.
23 UDB मिस्र की सेना उनका पीछा करते हुए अपने घोड़ों, रथों और सारथियों समेत समुद्र के बीच जा पहुँची। BSB BSB: And the Egyptians chased after them—all Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and horsemen—and followed them into the sea.
24 UDB सुबह होने से कुछ समय पहले, यहोवा ने आग के बादल से नीचे देखा और मिस्री सेना को भयभीत कर दिया। BSB BSB: At morning watch, however, the LORD looked down on the army of the Egyptians from the pillar of fire and cloud, and He threw their camp into confusion.
25 UDB उन्होंने उनके रथों के पहिये समुद्री भूमि में फंसा दिए कि वे न आगे बढ़ सके न पीछे हट सके। इस पर मिस्री एक-दूसरे से कहने लगे, “यहोवा इस्राएलियों की ओर से हमारे विरुद्ध लड़ रहे है। आओ! हम यहाँ से भाग निकलें!” BSB BSB: He caused their chariot wheels to wobble, so that they had difficulty driving. “Let us flee from the Israelites,” said the Egyptians, “for the LORD is fighting for them against Egypt!”
26 UDB तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, “अपनी बाहों को ऐसे बढ़ा जैसे कि तू इसे समुद्र में फैला रहा है। तब समुद्र का जल मिस्रियों के रथों और उनके घुड़सवारों पर आ जाएगा।” BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.”
27 UDB मूसा ने समुद्र पर अपना हाथ उठाया और सूर्योदय के समय जल का स्तर समतल होकर सामान्य स्थिति में आ गया। मिस्रियों ने बचकर निकलने का प्रयास किया परन्तु यहोवा ने मिस्रियों को समुद्र से नहीं निकलने दिया। BSB BSB: So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea returned to its normal state. As the Egyptians were retreating, the LORD swept them into the sea.
28 UDB समुद्र का जल अपने उचित तल तक लौटा और इस्राएलियों का पीछा करने वाली मिस्री सेना को उसके रथों और घुड़सवारों के साथ जल में डूबा दिया। हर एक मिस्री मारा गया। BSB BSB: The waters flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen—the entire army of Pharaoh that had chased the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.
29 UDB किन्तु इस्राएल के लोगों ने सूखी भूमि पर चलकर समुद्र पार किया। उनकी दाहिने और बायें ओर जल दीवार की तरह खड़ा था। BSB BSB: But the Israelites had walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on their right and on their left.
30 UDB इस प्रकार यहोवा ने उस दिन इस्राएलियों को मिस्री सेना के हाथ से बचाया। इस्राएल के लोगों ने मिस्रियों के शवों को देखा। उनके शव लाल सागर के किनारों पर जल में थे। BSB BSB: That day the LORD saved Israel from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the shore.
31 UDB इस्राएलियों ने देखा कि यहोवा ने अपनी महा-शक्ति से मिस्रियों के साथ क्या किया और उनमें यहोवा का भय समा गया। उन्होंने यहोवा और मूसा पर भरोसा रखा। BSB BSB: When Israel saw the great power that the LORD had exercised over the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and believed in Him and in His servant Moses.
