Matthew 9 (ULB)

1ಯೇಸು ದೋಣಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ತನ್ನ ಊರಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.Jesus got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own town.

2ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಯೇಸು ಬಂದಾಗ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ರೋಗಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಗೆ, <<ಮಗನೇ ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು, ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.”

3ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, <<ಇವನು ದೇವದೂಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು>> ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.On seeing this, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming!”

4ಯೇಸು ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದು, <<ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ?But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said, “Why do you harbor evil in your hearts?

5ಯಾವುದು ಸುಲಭ? <ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ> ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುವುದೋ?Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?

6ಅಥವಾ <ಎದ್ದು ನಡೆ> ಅನ್ನುವದೋ? ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿಬಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನಿಗೆ ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಉಂಟೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ರೋಗಿಗೆ, <<ಎದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗು>> ಅಂದನು.But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” Then He said to the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”

7ಆಗ ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು.And the man got up and went home.

8ಜನರು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಚಕಿತರಾಗಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಇಂಥ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದರು.When the crowds saw this, they were filled with awe and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

9ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಸುಂಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತಾಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, <<ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸು>> ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲು ಅವನು ಎದ್ದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದನು.As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him.

10ಅನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಅವನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವಾಗ ಬಹು ಮಂದಿ ಸುಂಕದವರೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.Later, as Jesus was dining at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Him and His disciples.

11ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು, <<ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗುರುವು ಸುಂಕದವರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಏಕೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12ಯೇಸು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, <<ಕ್ಷೇಮದಿಂದಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ವೈದ್ಯನು ಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, ಕ್ಷೇಮವಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕು.On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

13ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ, <ನಾನು ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನೇ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ> ಎಂಬ ಮಾತಿನ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ನಾನು ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವನು>> ಅಂದನು.But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

14ನಂತರ ಯೋಹಾನನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, <<ಫರಿಸಾಯರೂ ನಾವೂ ಬಹಳಸಾರಿ ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಏಕೆ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ,Then John’s disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast so often, but Your disciples do not fast?”

15<<ಮದುವೆಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮದಲಿಂಗನು ಇರುವ ತನಕ ದುಃಖಪಡುವರೇ? ಆದರೆ ಮದಲಿಂಗನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗುವ ಕಾಲ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆಗ ಅವರು ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡುವರು. ಯಾರೂ ಹೊಸ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯ ತುಂಡನ್ನು ಹಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತ್ಯಾಪೆ ಹಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾಗೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿದರೆJesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while He is with them? But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

16ಆ ತ್ಯಾಪೆಯು ಹಳೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಿಂಜುವುದರಿಂದ ಹರಕು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವುದು.No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. For the patch will pull away from the garment, and a worse tear will result.

17ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಳೆಯ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಟ್ಟರೆ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳು ಒಡೆದು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ಚೆಲ್ಲಿಹೋಗುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುವವು; ಆದರೆ ಹೊಸ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆಗ ಎರಡೂ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will spill, and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

18ಹೀಗೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯು ಬಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು, <<ನನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ಈಗಲೇ ತೀರಿಹೋದಳು; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನೀನು ಬಂದು ಆಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಇಟ್ಟರೆ ಬದುಕುವಳು>> ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.While Jesus was saying these things, a synagogue leader came and knelt before Him. “My daughter has just died,” he said. “But come and place Your hand on her, and she will live.”

19ಯೇಸು ಎದ್ದು ಆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಆತನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಸಹ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.So Jesus got up and went with him, along with His disciples.

20ಆಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರುಷದಿಂದ ರಕ್ತಕುಸುಮ ರೋಗವಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸು,Suddenly a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak.

21<<ನಾನು ಆತನ ಉಡುಪನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಸಾಕು, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳಾಗುವೆ ಎಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ>> ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಉಡುಪಿನ ಅಂಚನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದಳು.She said to herself, “If only I touch His cloak, I will be healed.”

22ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, <<ಮಗಳೇ, ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು; ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿತು>> ಅಂದನು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳಾದಳು.Jesus turned and saw her. “Take courage, daughter,” He said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed from that very hour.

23ಯೇಸು ಆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕೊಳಲು ಊದುವವರನ್ನೂ ಗದ್ದಲ ಮಾಡುವ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನೂ ಕಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ,When Jesus entered the house of the synagogue leader, He saw the flute players and the noisy crowd.

24<<ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ಹುಡುಗಿ ಸತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ನಿದ್ರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ>> ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು.“Go away,” He told them. “The girl is not dead, but asleep.” And they laughed at Him.

25ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೊರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಆಕೆ ಎದ್ದಳು.After the crowd had been put outside, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

26ಈ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಆ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಬ್ಬಿತು.And the news about this spread throughout that region.

27ಯೇಸು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುರುಡರು, <<ದಾವೀದ ಕುಮಾರನೇ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು>> ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

28ಯೇಸು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಕುರುಡರು ಆತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು, <<ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲೆನೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನಂಬುತ್ತೀರೋ>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ, ಅವರು <<ಹೌದು, ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ>> ಅಂದರು.After Jesus had entered the house, the blind men came to Him. “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” He asked. “Yes, Lord,” they answered.

29ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿ, <<ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಗಲಿ>> ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತೆರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು.Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you.”

30ನಂತರ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ಇದು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದನು.And their eyes were opened. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one finds out about this!”

31ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು.But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout the land.

32ಅವರು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ದೆವ್ವಹಿಡಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮೂಕನನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದರು.As they were leaving, a demon-possessed man who was mute was brought to Jesus.

33ದೆವ್ವ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನಾದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರು, <<ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ಯಾರೂ ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು>> ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಚಕಿತರಾದರು.And when the demon had been driven out, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

34ಆದರೆ ಫರಿಸಾಯರು, <<ಇವನು ದೆವ್ವಗಳ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದಲೇ ದೆವ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that He drives out demons.”

35ತರುವಾಯ ಯೇಸು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪದೇಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ರೋಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ಬೇನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಾಸಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು.Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness.

36ಯೇಸು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅವರು ಕುರುಬನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಚದುರಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟನು.When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

37ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, <<ಬೆಳೆಯು ಬಹಳ ಇದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲಸದವರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ.Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

38ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಬೆಳೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು, ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ಕೆಲಸದವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”
