6 ULB ബാലൻ നടക്കേണ്ട വഴിയിൽ അവനെ അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കുക; അവൻ വൃദ്ധനായാലും അത് വിട്ടുമാറുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

9 ULB ദയാകടാക്ഷമുള്ളവൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും; കാരണം അവൻ തന്റെ ആഹാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് അഗതിക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. BSB BSB: A generous man will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.
10 ULB പരിഹാസിയെ നീക്കിക്കളയുക; അപ്പോൾ പിണക്കം ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; കലഹവും നിന്ദയും നിന്നുപോകും. BSB BSB: Drive out the mocker, and conflict will depart; even quarreling and insults will cease.
11 ULB ഹൃദയശുദ്ധി ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവന് അധരലാവണ്യം ഉണ്ട്; രാജാവ് അവന്റെ സ്നേഹിതൻ. BSB BSB: He who loves a pure heart and gracious lips will have the king for a friend.

17 ULB ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ വചനങ്ങൾ ചെവിചായിച്ച് കേൾക്കുക; എന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന് മനസ്സുവയ്ക്കുക. BSB BSB: Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise—apply your mind to my knowledge—

24 ULB കോപശീലനോടു സഖിത്വമരുത്; ക്രോധമുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോടുകൂടി നടക്കുകയും അരുത്. BSB BSB: Do not make friends with an angry man, and do not associate with a hot-tempered man,
25 ULB നീ അവന്റെ വഴികളെ പഠിക്കുവാനും നിന്റെ പ്രാണൻ കെണിയിൽ അകപ്പെടുവാനും സംഗതി വരരുത്. BSB BSB: or you may learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare.
26 ULB നീ കൈയടിച്ച് ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലും കടത്തിന് ജാമ്യം നില്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലും ആയിപ്പോകരുത്. BSB BSB: Do not be one who gives pledges, who puts up security for debts.
27 ULB വീട്ടുവാൻ നിനക്ക് വകയില്ലാതെ വന്നിട്ട് നിന്റെ കീഴിൽനിന്ന് നിന്റെ മെത്ത എടുത്തുകളയുവാൻ ഇടവരുത്തുന്നത് എന്തിന്? BSB BSB: If you have nothing with which to pay, why should your bed be taken from under you?
28 ULB നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പണ്ടത്തെ അതിര് നീ മാറ്റരുത്. BSB BSB: Do not move an ancient boundary stone which your fathers have placed.
29 ULB പ്രവൃത്തിയിൽ സാമർത്ഥ്യമുള്ള പുരുഷനെ നീ കാണുന്നുവോ? അവൻ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നില്ക്കും; നീചന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ അവൻ നില്ക്കുകയില്ല. BSB BSB: Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will be stationed in the presence of kings; he will not stand before obscure men.
