1 UDB तिनीहरू अम्फिपोलिस र अपोल्लोनिया सहर हुँदै यात्रा गरे र थेसलोनिके सहरमा आए। त्यहाँ यहूदीहरूको एउटा सभाघर थियो। BSB BSB: When they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue.
2 UDB पावल सधैँझैँ विश्राम दिनमा सभाघर गए। तिन हप्तासम्म प्रत्येक विश्राम दिनमा उनी त्यहाँ गए। येशू नै ख्रीष्ट हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरा धर्मशास्त्रले कसरी बताउँछ भन्ने कुरा उनले मानिसहरूलाई बताए। BSB BSB: As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

4 UDB त्यहाँ केही यहूदीहरूले पावलले भनेका कुरामा विश्वास गरे र पावल र सिलासलाई भेट्न थाले। त्यहाँ अरू धेरै गैरयहूदी मानिसहरू र प्रमुख स्त्रीहरू पनि थिए, जसले येशूको सन्देशमा विश्वास गर्दथे, र परमेश्वरलाई आराधना गर्दथे। तिनीहरूले पनि पावल र सिलासलाई भेट्न थाले। BSB BSB: Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few leading women.
5 UDB तर केही यहूदी अगुवाहरू रिसाए किनभने धेरै मानिसहरूले पावलले सिकाएका कुरामा विश्वास गरे। त्यसैले तिनीहरू सार्वजनिक स्थानतिर गए र दुष्ट मानिसहरूलाई फकाएर आफ्नोपछि लगाउन भनी तिनीहरू भएतिर गए। यसरी यहूदी अगुवाहरूले भिडलाई भेला गरे र तिनीहरूलाई हल्ला गर्न उक्साए। ती यहूदीहरू र अरू मानिसहरू यासोन नाउँ भएका मानिसको घरतर्फ दगुरेर गए, जहाँ पावल र सिलास बसिरहेका थिए। तिनीहरूले पावल र सिलासलाई बाहिर भिड भएको ठाउँमा ल्याउन चाहन्थे। BSB BSB: The Jews, however, became jealous. So they brought in some troublemakers from the marketplace, formed a mob, and sent the city into an uproar. They raided Jason’s house in search of Paul and Silas, hoping to bring them out to the people.
7 UDB अनि यासोन नाउँको यो मानिसले चाहिँ तिनीहरूलाई आफ्नो घरमा बस्न निम्त्याउँदो रहेछ। तिनीहरूले सम्राटका विरुद्धमा कार्य गरिरहेका छन्। तिनीहरूले येशू नाउँ गरेको अर्को व्यक्तिलाई वास्तविक राजा हो भनी भन्दा रहेछन्!” BSB BSB: and Jason has welcomed them into his home. They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is another king, named Jesus!”
8 UDB त्यो कुरा सुनेर जम्मा भएको भिड र सहरका शासकहरू साह्रै क्रोधित र उत्तेजित भए। BSB BSB: On hearing this, the crowd and city officials were greatly disturbed.
9 UDB सहरका शासकहरूले यासोन र अरू विश्वासीहरूलाई जरिवाना तिर्न लगाए र तिनीहरूलाई भने, कि यदि पावल र सिलासले अरू बढी दुःख दिएनन् भने तिनीहरूको पैसा फिर्ता गरिनेछ। त्यसपछि सहरका शासकले यासोन र अरू विश्वासीहरूलाई छोडिदिए। BSB BSB: And they collected bond from Jason and the others and then released them.
12 UDB पावलको शिक्षाको कारण धेरै यहूदी मानिसहरूले येशूमा विश्वास गरे, र केही महत्त्वपूर्ण गैरयहूदी स्त्रीहरू र धेरै गैरयहूदी पुरुषहरूले उहाँमा विश्वास गरे। BSB BSB: As a result, many of them believed, along with quite a few prominent Greek women and men.
13 UDB तर थेसलोनिकेमा रहेका यहूदीहरूले पावलले बेरियामा येशूको बारेमा परमेश्वरको सन्देश प्रचार गर्दैछन् भनी सुने। त्यसैले तिनीहरू बेरिया गए र त्यहाँका मानिसहरूलाई यो घटना बताइदिए र त्यसले गर्दा तिनीहरू पावलप्रति अति क्रोधित भए। BSB BSB: But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that Paul was also proclaiming the word of God in Berea, they went there themselves to incite and agitate the crowds.
14 UDB बेरियाका केही विश्वासीहरूले पावललाई अर्को सहरमा जानका लागि समुद्री किनारातिर लगे। तर सिलास र तिमोथी बेरियामा नै बसे। BSB BSB: The brothers immediately sent Paul to the coast, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea.
15 UDB जब पावल र अरू मानिसहरू किनारामा आइपुगे तब तिनीहरू डुङ्गामा चढे, र एथेन्स सहरमा गए। तब पावलले आफूसँग आउने मानिसहरूलाई भने, “सिलास र तिमोथीलाई मकहाँ एथेन्समा जतिसक्दो चाँडै आउन भनिदेओ।” त्यसपछि ती मानिसहरूले एथेन्स छाडे र बेरियातर्फ फर्के। BSB BSB: Those who escorted Paul brought him to Athens and then returned with instructions for Silas and Timothy to join him as soon as possible.

Some of them asked, “What is this babbler trying to say?” Others said, “He seems to be advocating foreign gods.” They said this because Paul was proclaiming the good news of Jesus and the resurrection.

BSB BSB: So they took Paul and brought him to the Areopagus, where they asked him, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting?

Therefore what you worship as something unknown, I now proclaim to you.
25 UDB उहाँलाई मानिसहरूले बनाएको थोकको खाँचो पर्दैन किनभने उहाँले मानिसहरूलाई जीवित बनाउनुहुन्छ र सास दिनुहुन्छ र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई चाहिने हरेक थोक दिनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: Nor is He served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
29 UDB त्यसकारण, हामीहरू परमेश्वरका सन्तान भएका हुनाले, हामीले यो सोच्नु हुँदैन कि परमेश्वर चाहिँ सुन, चाँदी, ढुङ्गा वा मानिसद्वारा निर्मित कुरा जस्तो हुनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: Therefore, being offspring of God, we should not think that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by man’s skill and imagination.
30 UDB मानिसहरूले जुन समयमा परमेश्वरले चाहनु भए जस्तो गर्न जानेनन्, त्यसका निम्ति उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनुभएन। तर अब, परमेश्वरले सबै मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूको दुष्ट कार्यबाट फर्कन आज्ञा दिनुहुन्छ। BSB BSB: Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He now commands all people everywhere to repent.
31 UDB उहाँले हामीलाई भन्नुहुन्छ, कि उहाँले चुन्नुभएको एक निश्चित समयमा उहाँले चुन्नुभएका एक जना मानिसद्वारा उहाँले हामी सबैको न्यायपूर्ण इन्साफ गर्नुहुनेछ, र यसलाई निश्चयता दिनको निम्ति उहाँले येशूलाई मरेकाबाट जीवित पार्नु भएकोछ।” BSB BSB: For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”
32 UDB मरेको मानिस जीवित भई उठेको बारेमा पावलले भनेका कुरा मानिसहरूले सुनेपछि तिनीहरूमध्ये केहीले ठट्टा गरे। तर अरूहरूले चाहिँ अर्को दिन आएर यसको बारेमा तिनीहरूलाई बताउन उनलाई अनुरोध गरे। BSB BSB: When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some began to mock him, but others said, “We want to hear you again on this topic.”
33 UDB तिनीहरूले त्यसो भनिसकेपछि पावल त्यहाँबाट हिँडे। BSB BSB: At that, Paul left the Areopagus.
34 UDB तैपनि केही मानिसहरू पावलसँगै गए र येशूको सन्देशमा विश्वास गरे। येशूमा विश्वास गर्नेहरूमध्ये डायनिसियस नाउँ गरेका व्यक्ति थिए। साथै दामारिस नाउँ भएकी स्त्री र अरूहरूले पनि विश्वास गरे। BSB BSB: But some joined him and believed, including Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others who were with them.
