2 UDB यी मानिसहरू अति रिसाए किनभने ती दुई प्रेरितहरूले मानिसहरूलाई येशूको बारेमा शिक्षा दिइरहेका थिए। येशूलाई मारिनु भएपछि परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई फेरि जीवित तुल्याउनुभयो भनी तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई बताइरहेका थिए। BSB BSB: greatly disturbed that they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.
3 UDB यस कारण ती मानिसहरूले पत्रुस र यूहन्नालाई पक्रे र उनीहरूलाई झ्यालखानामा हालिदिए। साँझ परिसकेको हुनाले यहूदी परिषदले पत्रुस र यूहन्नालाई केरकार गर्न भोलिपल्ट सम्म पर्खनुपर्यो। BSB BSB: They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in custody until the next day.
4 UDB तैपनि पत्रुसले बोलेको सुन्ने धेरै मानिसहरूले येशूमा विश्वास गरे (तिनीहरूको विश्वास येशूमा राखे)। येशूमा विश्वास गर्ने मानिसहरूको संख्या बढेर झण्डै पाँच हजार भए। BSB BSB: But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
5 UDB भोलिपल्ट प्रधान पूजाहारीले अरू मुख्य पूजाहारीहरू, व्यवस्थाका शिक्षक, यहूदी परिषदका अन्य सदस्यहरूलाई बोलाए र तिनीहरू यरूशलेममा एकै ठाउँमा भेला भए। BSB BSB: The next day the rulers, elders, and scribes assembled in Jerusalem,
6 UDB पहिलेका प्रधान पूजाहारी हन्नास त्यहाँ थिए। साथै त्यहाँ नयाँ प्रधान पूजाहारी कैयाफा, यूहन्ना र अलेक्जेन्डर र प्रधान पूजाहारीसँग सम्बन्धित अन्य मानिसहरू थिए। BSB BSB: along with Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and many others from the high priest’s family.
7 UDB तिनीहरूले सुरक्षाकर्मीहरूलाई पत्रुस र यूहन्नालाई कोठाभित्र ल्याउने आदेश दिए र उनीहरूले पत्रुस र यूहन्नालाई सोधे, “हिँड्न नसक्ने मानिसलाई निको पार्ने शक्ति तिमीहरूलाई कसले दियो?” BSB BSB: They had Peter and John brought in and began to question them: “By what power or what name did you do this?”
8 UDB पवित्र आत्माले पत्रुसलाई शक्ति दिनुभएअनुसार पत्रुसले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “हामीलाई शासन गर्ने तपाईं इस्राएली मित्रहरू हो, र तपाईंहरू अरू धर्मगुरुहरू हो, मेरा कुरा सुन्नुहोस्।” BSB BSB: Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people!
9 UDB आज तपाईंहरूले एउटा हिँड्न नसक्ने मानिसको निम्ति हामीले गरेको एउटा राम्रो कामको बारेमा हामीलाई प्रश्न गरिरहनु भएको छ र तपाईंहरूले ऊ कसरी निको भयो भनी हामीलाई सोध्नुहुन्छ। यसकारण तपाईंहरू र अन्य सबै इस्राएलीहरूलाई यो कुरा मलाई बताउन दिनुहोस्। BSB BSB: If we are being examined today about a kind service to a man who was lame, to determine how he was healed,
10 UDB नासरतका येशू ख्रीष्टको नामद्वारा यो मानिस निको भयो। यसकारण ऊ अहिले तपाईंहरूका अगाडि उभिन सक्ने भएको छ। येशूलाई क्रूसमा टाँगेर मार्ने तपाईंहरू नै हुनुहुन्थ्यो तर परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई फेरि जीवित बनाउनु भयो। BSB BSB: then let this be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
11 UDB धर्मशास्त्रले यिनै येशू ख्रीष्टको बारेमा बताउछः “भवन निर्माण गर्नेहरूले फ्याँकेको ढुङगा नै त्यो भवनको सबैभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण ढुङगा भएको छ।” BSB BSB: This Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’
13 UDB पत्रुस र यूहन्ना तिनीहरूदेखि नडराएको कुरा ती यहूदी अगुवाहरूले थाहा पाए। यी दुई जना मानिसहरू विद्यालयमा अध्ययन नगरेका साधारण मानिसहरू रहेछन् भन्ने कुरा पनि तिनीहरूले थाहा पाए। यसकारण ती अगुवाहरू छक्क परे। यी मानिसहरूले येशूसँग समय बिताएका थिए भन्ने तिनीहरूले थाहा पाए। BSB BSB: When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they marveled and took note that these men had been with Jesus.
14 UDB तिनीहरूले त्यो निको भएको मानिस पत्रुस र यूहन्नासँगै उभिरहेको पनि देखे। यसकारण तिनीहरूले उनीहरूका विरुद्धमा केही पनि बोल्न सकेनन्। BSB BSB: And seeing the man who had been healed standing there with them, they had nothing to say in response.
15 UDB ती यहूदी अगुवाहरूले बैठक कोठाबाट पत्रुस, यूहन्ना र त्यो निको भएको मानिसलाई बाहिर लैजान सुरक्षाकर्मीहरूलाई आज्ञा दिए। तिनीहरूले त्यसो गरेपछि ती अगुवाहरूले पत्रुस र यूहन्नाका बारेमा आपसमा छलफल गरे। BSB BSB: So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.
16 UDB तिनीहरूले भने, “यी दुई जना मानिसलाई सजाय दिनलाई हामीले गर्न सक्ने कुनै कुरो छैन।” उनीहरूले एउटा उदेकको आश्चर्यकर्म गरेका छन् भन्ने कुरो यरूशलेममा बस्ने सबैले जान्दछन्, यसकारण यो घटना भएको होइन भनी हामीले मानिसहरूलाई भन्न सक्दैनौँ। BSB BSB: “What shall we do with these men?” they asked. “It is clear to everyone living in Jerusalem that a remarkable miracle has occurred through them, and we cannot deny it.
17 UDB तर पनि यिनीहरूले यी येशूको बारेमा सिकाउँदै आएका कुरा हामीले अरू मानिसहरूलाई सुन्न दिनुहुँदैन। यसकारण, यो मानिसलाई निको पार्न तिनीहरूलाई शक्ति दिने भनी तिनीहरूले भनेको व्यक्तिको बारे यदि तिनीहरूले अरू मानिसहरूलाई निरन्तर बताए भने हामीले तिमीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनेछौँ भनी हामीले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नु नै पर्छ।” BSB BSB: But to keep this message from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in this name.”
18 UDB यसकारण, ती यहूदी अगुवाहरूले ती दुई प्रेरितहरूलाई फेरि कोठाभित्र ल्याउन सुरक्षाकर्मीहरूलाई आज्ञा दिए। तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई भित्र ल्याएपछि तिनीहरूले अब उप्रान्त कसैलाई पनि येशूको बारेमा बताउनु वा सिकाउनु हुँदैन भनी तिनीहरू दुवैलाई भने। BSB BSB: Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
19 UDB तर पत्रुस र यूहन्नाले भने, “के तपाईंहरूको कुरा मान्नु र उहाँको आज्ञापालन नगर्नु परमेश्वरले हाम्रो निम्ति ठिक नै हो भनी सोच्नु होला? तपाईंहरूलाई के ठिक हो भन्ने लाग्छ, निर्णय गर्न हामीले तपाईंहरूलाई नै दिन्छौँ। BSB BSB: But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than God.
20 UDB तर हामीले त तपाईंहरूको कुरा मान्न सक्दैनौँ। येशूले गर्नु भएको हामीले देखेको र उहाँले सिकाउनु भएको हामीले जे सुनेका छौँ तीबारे हामीले मानिसहरूलाई बताउन छोड्ने छैनौँ।” BSB BSB: For we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
21 UDB तब फेरि यहूदी अगुवाहरूले पत्रुस र यूहन्नालाई तिनीहरूको आज्ञा उल्लङघन नगर्नू भने, तर तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई दण्ड नदिने निर्णय गरे। किनभने त्यो हिँड्न नसक्ने मानिसलाई भएको कुरा बारे यरूशलेममा भएका सबै मानिसहरूले परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गरिरेहेका थिए। BSB BSB: After further threats they let them go. They could not find a way to punish them, because all the people were glorifying God for what had happened.
22 UDB उसको उमेर चालिस वर्ष भन्दा बढी थियो, अनि ऊ जन्मेको दिनदेखि नै हिँड्न सकेको थिएन। BSB BSB: For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.
23 UDB पत्रुस र यूहन्नाले यहूदी परिषद् छोडे पछि, तिनीहरू अरू विश्वासीहरूकहाँ गए र धर्म-गुरु र यहूदी अगुवाहरूले उनीहरूलाई भनेका सबैकुरा तिनीहरूलाई बताइदिए। BSB BSB: On their release, Peter and John returned to their own people and reported everything that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 UDB जब विश्वासीहरूले यो कुरा सुने तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरप्रति सँगै प्रार्थना गर्दा तिनीहरू सबै सहमत भए, “हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले आकाश, पृथ्वी र समुद्रहरू र त्यहाँ भएका सबै थोक बनाउनुभयो। BSB BSB: When the believers heard this, they lifted up their voices to God with one accord. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “You made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them.
25 UDB पवित्र आत्माले तपाईंहरूको सेवा गर्ने हाम्रा पूर्खा राजा दाऊदलाई यी वचनहरू लेख्न लगाउनुभयोः “संसारका मानिसहरू किन रिसाए, अनि इस्राएली मानिसहरूले परमेश्वरको विरुद्धमा व्यर्थको योजना बनाए? BSB BSB: You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David: ‘Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
26 UDB संसारमा राजाहरूले परमेश्वरमा शासकको विरुद्धमा लडाईँ गर्न तयारी गरे अनि शासकहरू परमप्रभु र उहाँले मसीह हुनलाई चुन्नुभएको व्याक्तिको विरोध गर्नलाई तिनीहरूसँग आवद्ध भए। BSB BSB: The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against His Anointed One.’
28 UDB तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई यो गर्न अनुमति दिनुभयो किनभने तपाईंले यो हुनलाई लामो समय अघि नै निर्णय गर्नुभएको थियो। BSB BSB: They carried out what Your hand and will had decided beforehand would happen.
29 UDB “यसकारण अब तिनीहरूले हामीलाई कसरी दण्ड दिने छन् भनी तिनीहरूले भनिरहेका कुराहरू सुन्नुहोस्। प्रत्येकलाई येशूको बारेमा वताउन हामी तपाईंका सेवा गर्नेहरूलाई सहायता गर्नुहोस्। BSB BSB: And now, Lord, consider their threats, and enable Your servants to speak Your word with complete boldness,
30 UDB तपाईंका पवित्र सेवक येशूको नाममा चंगाइका आश्चर्यकर्महरू, चिन्हहरू र चमत्कारहरू गर्न तपाईंको शाक्ति प्रयोग गर्नुहोस्। BSB BSB: as You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”
31 UDB जब विश्वासीहरूले प्रार्थना गरी सिध्दयाएका थिए उनीहरू भेला भएको ठाउँ हल्लियो। पवित्र आत्माले उनीहरू सबैलाई परमेश्वरले उनीहरूलाई बोल्नलाई आज्ञा दिनुभएका वचनहरू साहसका साथ बोल्ने शक्ति दिनुभयो अनि उनीहरूले त्यसै गरे। BSB BSB: After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
33 UDB परमेश्वरले प्रभु येशूलाई फेरि जीवित तुल्याउनुभयो, भनी ती प्रेरितहरूले अरू मानिसहरूलाई जोडदाररूपमा बताउने काम जारी राखे। अनि परमेश्वरले सबै विश्वासीहरूलाई ठुलो सहायता गरिरहनु भएको थियो। BSB BSB: With great power the apostles continued to give their testimony about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And abundant grace was upon them all.
34 UDB जमिन वा घर भएका कतिपय विश्वासीहरूले आफ्नो सम्पत्ति बेचे। तब तिनीहरूले बेचेर प्राप्त गरेको रकम ल्याउथे र तिनीहरूले त्यो रकम प्रेरितहरूलाई दिन्थे। BSB BSB: There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales,
35 UDB तब प्रेरितहरूले खाँचोमा पर्ने कुनै पनि विश्वासीलाई रकम दिन्थे। यसरी सबै विश्वासीहरूसँग तिनीहरू जिउनलाई आवश्यक पर्ने कुरा हुन्थ्यो। BSB BSB: and lay them at the apostles’ feet for distribution to anyone as he had need.
37 UDB उनले एउटा खेत बेचे र त्यो रकम तिनीहरूका निम्ति र अरू विश्वासीहरूलाई दिन प्रेरितहरू कहाँ ल्याए। BSB BSB: sold a field he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
