1 UDB एकदिन कुनै एउटा ठाउँमा येशूले प्रार्थना गर्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। जब उहाँले प्रार्थना गरेर सिध्याउनुभयो, उहाँका चेलाहरूमध्ये एउटाले उहाँलाई भने, "प्रभु, हामीले प्रार्थना गर्दा के भन्नुपर्छ हामीलाई सिकाउनुहोस् जसरी यूहन्नाले आफ्ना चेलाहरूलाई सिकाए।” BSB BSB: One day in a place where Jesus had just finished praying, one of His disciples requested, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

Your kingdom come.
3 UDB कृपागरी हरेक दिन आवश्यक पर्ने भोजन हामीलाई दिनुहोस्। BSB BSB: Give us each day our daily bread.
4 UDB कृपा गरी हामीले गरेका खराव कुराहरूका निम्ति हामीलाई क्षमा गर्नुहोस्, जसरी हामी आफैंले पनि मानिसहरूले हामीलाई गर्ने खराव कुराहरूका निम्ती तिनीहरूलाई क्षमा गर्नुपर्छ। हामी परीक्षित हुँदा पाप नगर्नलाई हामीलाई मद्दत गर्नुहोस्।’” BSB BSB: And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’”

BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose one of you goes to his friend at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6 UDB मेरो अर्को एकजना साथी जो यात्रा गर्दैछन्, भर्खरै मेरो घरमा आएका छन्, तर तिनलाई दिनको लागि मसँग केही खानेकुरा तयार छैन!’ BSB BSB: because a friend of mine has come to me on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him.’
7 UDB मानौं कि तिनले घरभित्रैबाट तिमीलाई जवाफ दिन्छन्, ‘मलाई दुख नदेऊ! ढोका बन्द गरिएको छ र मेरो सबै परिवार ओछ्यानमा छन्। त्यसैले म उठ्न र तिमीलाई केही दिन सक्दिन!’ BSB BSB: And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Do not bother me. My door is already shut, and my children and I are in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.’
8 UDB म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, तिमी तिनको साथी भए तापनि तिनी उठ्ने र कुनै खाना तिमीलाई दिने इच्छा गर्दैनन्। तर तिमीले तिनीसँग निरन्तर विन्ती गरेको कारणले तिनी निश्चय नै उठ्नेछ र तिमीलाई जे कुरा आवश्यक छ त्यो तिनले दिनेछन्। BSB BSB: I tell you, even though he will not get up to provide for him because of his friendship, yet because of the man’s persistence, he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
9 UDB त्यसैले म तिमीहरूलाई यो भन्दछु: तिमीहरूलाई के आवश्यक छ त्यसका निम्ती परमेश्वरसँग मागी रहो र उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई त्यो दिनुहुनेछ। उहाँको इच्छा खोजी रहो र उहाँले त्यो तिमीहरूलाई देखाउनुहुनेछ। कसैले ढोकामा निरन्तर ढकढक गरेजस्तै परमेश्वरसँग निरन्तर प्रार्थना गरिरहो र तिमीहरुले जे कुराको निम्ती प्रार्थना गर्छौ त्यो तिमीहरूले पाउनलाई उहाँले तिमीहरूका निम्ती बाटो खोल्नुहुनेछ। BSB BSB: So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
10 UDB याद गर कि हरेक जसले माग्छ उसले पाउनेछ र हरेक जसले खोज्छ उसले भेट्टाउनेछ र हरेक जसले ढक्ढकाउँछ उसको निम्ति ढोका उघारिनेछ। BSB BSB: For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 UDB यदि तिमीहरूमध्ये एकजनाको एउटा छोरोले खानको लागि माछा माग्यो भने, त्यसको सट्टामा तिमीहरूले निश्चय पनि उसलाई एउटा विषालु सर्प दिँदैनौ, दिन्छौ त? BSB BSB: What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?
12 UDB र यदि उसले एउटा अण्डा माग्यो भने, त्यसको सट्टामा तिमीहरूले निश्चय पनि उसलाई एउटा बिच्छी दिँदैनौ, दिन्छौ त? BSB BSB: Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13 UDB तिमीहरू पापी मानिसहरू भए तापनि आफ्ना छोरा-छोरीलाई जसरी राम्रो कुराहरू दिन तिमीहरू जान्दछौ। त्यसरी नै यदि तिमीहरूले उहाँसँग विन्ती गर्यौ भने स्वर्गमा हुनुहुने तिमीहरूका पिताले अझ धेरै निश्चित रूपमा तिमीहरूलाई पवित्र आत्मा दिनुहुनेछ।” BSB BSB: So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
14 UDB एकदिन त्यहाँ एकजना मानिस थिए जो बोल्न सकेनन्, किनभने एउटा दुष्ट आत्माले तिनलाई अधीन गर्यो। येशूले दुष्ट आत्मालाई निस्कन बाध्य पारेपछि ती मानिस बोल्न थाले। त्यहाँ भएका धेरैजसो मानिसहरू चकित परे। BSB BSB: One day Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. And when the demon was gone, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowds were amazed,
15 UDB तर तिनीहरूमध्ये कसैले भने, “यो त भूतहरूको शासक बालजीबुल हो, जसले यस मानिसलाई भूतहरू निकाल्न सक्षम बनाउँछ!” BSB BSB: but some of them said, “It is by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons, that He drives out demons.”
16 UDB त्यहाँ भएका अरू मानिसहरूले उहाँ परमेश्वरबाट आउनुभएको हो भनी प्रमाणित गर्नलाई एउटा आश्चर्य काम गर्न उहाँलाई भने। BSB BSB: And others tested Him by demanding a sign from heaven.

18 UDB त्यसैगरी यदि शैतान र त्यसका भूतहरू एक आपसमा लडाई गर्दैथिए भने, तिनीहरूमाथिको उसको शासन निश्चय पनि रहन्न! म यो भन्दैछु किनभने तिमीहरू भन्दैछौ कि भूतहरूको शासकको शक्तिले म भुतहरू निकाल्छु! BSB BSB: If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? After all, you say that I drive out demons by Beelzebul.
19 UDB अब, यदि शैतानले मलाई भूतहरू निकाल्न सक्षम बनाउँदैछ भन्ने कुरा वास्तविक सत्य हो भने, तिमीहरूका चेलाहरू जसले भूतहरू निकाल्छन् त्यो शैतानकै शक्तिले गर्छन् भन्ने कुरा वास्तविक सत्य हो? वास्तवमै होइन! यसरी यी कुराहरूले तिमीहरू गलत छौ भन्ने प्रमणित हुन्छ। BSB BSB: And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
21 UDB येशूले लगातार भन्नुभयो, “जब धेरै हतियारहरू भएका एकजना बलवान मानिसले आफ्नो घरको सुरक्षा आफैँले गर्छ भने त्यसको घरमा भएका कुराहरू कसैले पनि चोर्न सक्दैन। BSB BSB: When a strong man, fully armed, guards his house, his possessions are secure.
22 UDB तर अझै बलवान कसैले त्यो मानिसलाई आक्रमण गर्छ र त्यसलाई अधीन गर्छ भने त्यस मानिसले भर परेको सबै हतियारहरू उसले लिएर जान्छ सक्षम हुन्छ। त्यसपछि उसले त्यस मानिसको घरबाट उसलाई जे इच्छा हुन्छ त्यो लैजान सक्छ। BSB BSB: But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted, and then he divides up his plunder.
23 UDB कसैले मलाई समर्थन गर्दैन भने त्यसले मेरो विरोध गर्छ, र कसैले मानिसहरूलाई मकहाँ ल्याउँदैन भने त्यसले तिनीहरूलाई मबाट टाढा जाने बनाउँछ।” BSB BSB: He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
24 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले यसो भन्नुभयो: “कुनैबेला जब दुष्ट आत्माले कसैलाई छोड्छ, त्यो निर्जन ठाउँहरूमा छुटकारा खोज्दै भौंतारिन्छ। यदि त्यसले कुनै ठाउँ भेट्टाएन भने, त्यसले आफैंलाई भन्छ, ‘म त्यही व्यक्तिकहाँ फर्कनेछु जसमा म बस्ने गर्थें।’ BSB BSB: When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’

26 UDB तब त्यो दुष्ट आत्मा जान्छ र त्यसले अरू सातवटा झन् बढी खराव दुष्ट आत्माहरूलाई साथमा ल्याउँदछ। तिनीहरू सबै त्यस व्यक्तिभित्र पस्छन् र त्यहाँ बस्न थाल्छन्। यसरी त्यस व्यक्तिको पहिलेको अवस्था खराव थियो भने पछिल्लो झन् धेरै खराब भयो।” BSB BSB: Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first.”
27 UDB जब येशूले त्यसो भन्नुभयो, त्यो सुनिरहेकी एउटी स्त्रीले उच्च स्वरले उहाँलाई भनिन्, “जसले तपाईंलाई जन्माइन् र जसले तपाईंलाई आफ्नो स्तनपान गराइन् ती स्त्रीलाई परमेश्वरले कति धेरै आशिष् दिनुभयो।” BSB BSB: As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and blessed are the breasts that nursed You!”
28 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “जसले उहाँको सन्देश सुन्छन् र ती पालन गर्छन् तिनीहरूलाई परमेश्वरले अझ धेरै आशिष् दिनुभयो!” BSB BSB: But He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
29 UDB जसै येशूको वरिपरि भएको भिडमा सहभागी हुनलाई धेरैभन्दा धेरै मानिसहरू आउँदैथिए, उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “यो समयमा बाँचेका मानिसहरू दुष्ट मानिसहरू हुन्। तिमीहरूमध्ये धेरै जनाले म परमेश्वर बाट आएको हुँ भन्ने प्रमाणको रूपमा मैले एउटा आश्चर्य काम गरेको चाहान्छौ। तर योनालाई जे भयो त्यस्तै एउटा आश्चर्य काम मात्र तिमीहरूले प्रमाणको रूपमा पाउनेछौ। BSB BSB: As the crowds were increasing, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.
30 UDB जसरी परमेश्वरले धेरै पहिले योनाको निम्ति गर्नुभएको आश्चर्य काम निनवे सहरका मानिसहरूको लागि एउटा साक्षी भयो, त्यसरी नै परमेश्वरले मानिसको पुत्रको निम्ती त्यस्तै एउटा आश्चर्य काम गर्नुहुनेछ त्यो नै तिमीहरू अहिले बाँचेका मानिसहरूका लागि एउटा साक्षी हुनेछ। BSB BSB: For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so the Son of Man will be a sign to this generation.
31 UDB धेरै पहिले सेवाकी रानी सोलोमनले भनेका बुद्धिका कुराहरू सुन्नलाई धेरै लामो दुरीको यात्रा गरिन्। र अहिले एकजना जो सोलोमनभन्दा धेरै महान यहाँ छ, तर म जे भन्छु त्यो तिमीहरूले वास्तवमै सुनेका छैनौ। त्यसकारण, परमेश्वरले सबै मानिसहरूको न्याय गर्नुहुने समयमा यी रानी त्यहाँ खडा हुनेछिन् र अहिले बाँचेका मानिसहरूलाई दोषी ठहराउनेछिन्। BSB BSB: The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
32 UDB जब योनाले तिनीहरूलाई प्रचार गरे त्यहाँ निनवेको प्राचीन सहरहरूमा बस्ने मानिसहरू तिनीहरूको आफ्नो पापबाट पश्च्त्ताप गरेर फर्के। यसकारण म योनाभन्दा महान व्यक्ति तिमीहरूको बीचमा आएँ र तिमीहरूलाई प्रचार गरेँ। तर तिमीहरू आआफ्नो पापको मार्गबाट फर्कदैनौ। त्यसकारण परमेश्वरले सबै मानिसहरूको न्याय गर्नुहुने समयमा धेरै पहिलादेखि निनवे सहरमा बस्ने ती मानिसहरू त्यहाँ खडा हुनेछन् र अहिले भएका मानिसहरूलाई दोषी ठहर्याउनेछन्। BSB BSB: The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
33 UDB मानिसहरू जसले बत्ती बालेपछि त्यसलाई लुकाउँदैनन् वा त्यसलाई एउटा टोकरीमुनि राख्दैनन्। त्यसको साटोमा, तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई एउटा सामदानमाथि राख्छन् ता कि कोठा वा घरभित्र पस्नेहरूले त्यो उज्यालो देख्न सक्छन्। BSB BSB: No one lights a lamp and puts it in a cellar or under a basket. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.
34 UDB तिम्रो आँखा तिम्रो शरीरको बत्ती हो। यदि तिम्रो आँखा स्वस्थ छ भने तिम्रो सबै शरीर पूरा उज्यालो हुन्छ। यदि, अर्कोतर्फ, यो अस्वस्थ छ भने तिम्रो सबै शरीर पूरा अन्धकार हुनेछ। BSB BSB: Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness.
35 UDB त्यसकारण, होसियार रहो कि तिमीमा भएको ज्योति अन्धकार नहोस्। BSB BSB: Be careful, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
36 UDB यदि तिम्रो सम्पूर्ण शरीर पूरा उज्यालो छ र त्यसका कुनै भाग पनि अन्धकार पारिएको छैन भने, एउटा बत्तीको उज्यालोले तिमीलाई सबै थोकहरू स्पष्ट देख्न सक्ने बनाएजस्तै तिम्रो सबै शरीर पूरा उज्यालो हुनेछ।” BSB BSB: So if your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, you will be radiant, as though a lamp were shining on you.”
37 UDB येशूले ती कुराहरू भनेर सकेपछि, एकजना फरिसीले उहाँलाई खाना खाने निम्तो दिए। त्यसैले येशू त्यो फरिसीको घरमा जानुभयो र खाना खानलाई टेबलमा बस्नुभयो। BSB BSB: As Jesus was speaking, a Pharisee invited Him to dine with him; so He went in and reclined at the table.
38 UDB येशूले रीतिअनुसार खाना खानुअघि आफ्ना हातहरू नधोएको ती फरिसीले देखेर तिनी छक्क परे। BSB BSB: But the Pharisee was surprised to see that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.
39 UDB प्रभु येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमी फरिसीहरू आफूले खाना खानुअघि कचौराहरू र थालहरूका बाहिरपट्टी धुन्छौ तर तिमीहरूको भित्रपट्टी तिमीहरू धेरै लोभी र दुष्ट छौ। BSB BSB: Then the Lord said, “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
40 UDB तिमी मूर्ख मानिसहरू! तिमीहरू यो निश्चय जान्दछौ कि परमेश्वरले बाहिरी भाग मात्र बनाउनु भएन तर उहाँले भित्री भाग पनि बनाउनुभयो! BSB BSB: You fools! Did not the One who made the outside make the inside as well?
41 UDB थालहरू रितिअनुसार सफा गर्ने चिन्ता गर्नुको सट्टा, कृपालु हुनु र थालहरू भित्र भएका थोकहरू खाँचोमा पर्नेहरूलाई दिनु र त्यसपछि तिम्रो भित्र र बाहिर दुवै सफा हुनेछ। BSB BSB: But give as alms the things that are within you, and behold, everything will be clean for you.
42 UDB तर तिमी फरिसीहरूका निम्ति कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ! तिमीहरूसँग भएका सबै थोकहरू, तिमीहरूले आफ्नो बगैचाहरूमा उत्पादन गरेका जडीबुटीहरूको समेत दश भागमा एक भाग तिमीहरू परमेश्वरलाई होसियारसाथ दिन्छौ। तर त्यसपछि तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गर्दैनौ वा अरूहरूप्रति ठीक व्यवहार गर्दैनौ। परमेश्वरलाई दिनुको साथै, तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई प्रेम गर्ने र अरूहरूप्रति ठीक व्यवहार गर्ने कुरामा तिमीहरू पक्का हुनुपर्ने हो। BSB BSB: Woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithes of mint, rue, and every herb, but you disregard justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former.
43 UDB तिमी फरिसीहरूका निम्ति कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ, किनभने तिमीहरू सभाघरहरूमा सबभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण आसनहरूमा बस्न मन पराउँछौ र मानिसहरूले बजारहरूमा तिमीहरूलाई विशेष आदरसाथ अभिवादन गरेको मन पराउँछौ। BSB BSB: Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the chief seats in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.
44 UDB तिमीहरूका निम्ति कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ, किनभने तिमीहरू चिनो नलगाइएका चिहानहरू जस्ता छौ जसलाई देख्न सकिँदैन, जसमाथि मानिसहरू थाहै नपाई हिंड्छन् र विधिअनुसार अशुद्ध हुन्छन्।” BSB BSB: Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without even noticing.”
45 UDB यहूदी व्यवस्थाका शिक्षकहरूमध्ये एकजनाले जवाफ दिए, “गुरुज्यु, तपाईंले यसो भनेर हाम्रो पनि आलोचना गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ!” BSB BSB: One of the experts in the law told Him, “Teacher, when You say these things, You insult us as well.”
46 UDB येशूले भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू यहूदी व्यवस्थाका शिक्षकहरूलाई कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ! तिमीहरू मानिसहरूमाथि धेरै गह्रौं भारीहरू बोकाउँछौ, तापनि मानिसहरूलाई ती गह्रौं भारीहरू बोक्न मद्दत पुर्याउनलाई तिमीहरू एउटा सबभन्दा सानो कुरा पनि गर्दैनौ। BSB BSB: “Woe to you as well, experts in the law!” He replied. “For you weigh men down with heavy burdens, but you yourselves will not lift a finger to lighten their load.
47 UDB तिमीहरूलाई कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ, किनभने तिमीहरू अगमवक्ताहरूका चिहानहरू छुट्टयाउनको निम्ति भवनहरू बनाउँछौ, तर तिनीहरूलाई मार्ने तिमीहरूकै पुर्खाहरू हुन्!” BSB BSB: Woe to you! For you build tombs for the prophets, but it was your fathers who killed them.
48 UDB त्यसैले जब तिमीहरूले यी भवनहरू बनाउँछौ, तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूले अगमवक्ताहरूलाई मार्दा तिनीहरूले जे गरे त्यो ठीक गरे भनी तिमीहरू घोषणा गर्दछौ। BSB BSB: So you are witnesses consenting to the deeds of your fathers: They killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.
49 UDB त्यसैले परमेश्वर, जो अति बुद्धिमान हुनुहुन्छ, भन्नुभएको थियो, ‘मेरा मानिसहरूलाई मार्गनिर्देशन गर्न म अगमवक्ताहरू र प्रेरितहरूलाई पठाउँनेछु। तर तिनीहरूले उनीहरूलाई धेरै दुख दिनेछन् र तिनीहरूमध्ये कतिलाई मार्नेछन्।’ BSB BSB: Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and others they will persecute.’
50 UDB परिणामस्वरूप, संसारको सृष्टि भएको समयदेखि परमेश्वरका सबै अगमवक्ताहरूको हत्याको निम्ति अहिले यो समयमा बाँचेका धेरैजना मानिसहरूलाई दोषी ठहराइनेछ, BSB BSB: As a result, this generation will be charged with the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the foundation of the world,
51 UDB हाबिल आफ्नो दाजुद्वारा मारिएदेखि शुरू गरेर मन्दिरको वेदी र पवित्रस्थानको बीचमा मारिएका जकरिया अगमवक्तासम्मै। हो, अहिले यो समयमा बाँचेका मानिसहरूलाई नै अगमवक्ताहरूका सबै ती हत्याहरूको निम्ति दोषी ठहराइनेछ! BSB BSB: from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, all of it will be charged to this generation.
