3 UDB त्यसपछि इस्कोरियोत भनिने यहूदाभित्र शैतान पस्यो, जो बाह्रजना चेलाहरूमध्ये एक थिए। BSB BSB: Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve.
4 UDB ऊ गयो र मुख्य पूजाहारीहरू र मन्दिरको सुरक्षा अधिकारीहरूसँग कसरी उसले येशूलाई तिनीहरूकहाँ सुम्पिदिन सक्छ भन्ने बरेमा कुरा गर्यो। BSB BSB: And Judas went to discuss with the chief priests and temple officers how he might betray Jesus to them.

Follow him to the house he enters,
11 UDB घरको मालिकलाई भन, “हाम्रो गरूले हामीलाई कोठा देखाउन भन्नुहुन्छ जाहाँ उहाँले हामी, उहाँका चेलाहरूसँग निस्तार-चाडको भोज खान सक्नुहुन्छ?” BSB BSB: and say to the owner of that house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’
12 UDB उसले तिमीहरूलाई घरको माथिल्लो तलामा भएको एउटा ठूलो कोठा देखाउनेछ। त्यो सबै कुरा मिलाएर राखिएको, पाहुनाहरूका लागि सबै कुरा तयार हुनेछ। त्यहाँ हाम्रो लागि भोज तयार गर।” BSB BSB: And he will show you a large upper room, already furnished. Make preparations there.”
13 UDB यसैले दुईजना चेलाहरू सहरमा गए। येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जस्तो भन्नुभएको थियो तिनिहरूले सबै कुरा त्यस्तै भेटाए। यसरी त्यहाँ तिनीहरूले निस्तार-चाडको उत्सवको लागि भोज तयार गरे। BSB BSB: So they went and found it just as Jesus had told them. And they prepared the Passover.
14 UDB जब भोज खाने समय भयो, येशू आउनुभयो र प्रेरितहरूसँगै बस्नुभयो। BSB BSB: When the hour had come, Jesus reclined at the table with His apostles.
16 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु, म यो फेरी खाने छैन जबसम्म म त्यस्तै गर्दिन, त्यतिबेला परमेश्वरले हरेकमा सबै ठाउँमा राज्य गर्नुहुन्छ, त्यतिबेला उहाँले निस्तार-चाडमा गर्न सुरु गर्नुभएको काम उहाँले पूरा गर्नुहुन्छ।” BSB BSB: For I tell you that I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
17 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले अङ्गुरको रसको कचौरा लिनुभयो र त्यसको लागि परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभयो। उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “यो लेऊ र आफ्नो माझमा यसलाई बाँड। BSB BSB: After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.
18 UDB किनकी म भन्छु परमेश्वरले हरेकमा सबै ठाउँमा राज्य नगरेसम्म म फेरि यो अङ्गुरको रसमध्ये कुनै पिउनेछैन। BSB BSB: For I tell you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँले केही रोटी लिनुभयो र त्यसको निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद दिनुभयो। उहाँले त्यसलाई टुक्राहरू पार्नुभयो र खानलाई त्यो तिनीहरूलाई दिनुभयो। उहाँले यसो गर्नुहुँदा, उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “यो रोटी मेरो शरीर हो, जसलाई म तिमीहरूका निम्ति बलि चडाउन जाँदैछु। मेरो आदर गर्नलाई पछि यसै गर।” BSB BSB: And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

21 UDB तर, हेर! मेरा शत्रुहरूका हातमा मलाई सुम्पिदिने व्यक्ति यहाँ मसित खाँदैछ। BSB BSB: Look! The hand of My betrayer is with Mine on the table.
22 UDB वास्तवमा, म, मानिसको पुत्र मर्नेछु, किनभने परमेश्वरले त्यो योजना गर्नुभएको छ। तर मेरा शत्रुहरूका हातमा मलाई सुम्पिदिने मानिसका लागि कति डरलाग्दो हुनेछ!” BSB BSB: Indeed, the Son of Man will go as it has been determined, but woe to that man who betrays Him.”
23 UDB त्यसपछि, प्रेरितहरूले एक अर्कामा सोध्न लागे, “हामीहरूमध्ये कसले यो कुरा गर्ने योजना बनाउँदैछ?” BSB BSB: Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.

25 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “अन्यजाति राज्यहरूका राजाहरूले तिनीहरू शक्तिशाली छन् भनी देखाउँन चाहान्छन्। तापनि तिनीहरू आफैँलाई, ‘मानिसहरूलाई मद्दत गर्नेहरू’ भनेर उपनाम दिन्छन्। BSB BSB: So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors.
26 UDB तर तिमीहरू ती शासकहरूजस्ता हुन हुँदैन! त्यसको सटोमा, तिमीहरूका माझमा सबभन्दा बढी सम्मान पाएका व्यक्तिहरूले आफैँलाई सबभन्दा सानो जस्तो गर्नुपर्छ, र नेतृत्व गर्नेहरू एउटा सेवकले जस्तो गर्नुपर्छ। BSB BSB: But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves.
27 UDB किनकी तिमीहरू जान्दछौ, टेबलमा बसेर खाने व्यक्ति महत्त्वपूर्ण हुन्छ, खाना ल्याउने सेवक हुँदैन। तर म तिमीहरूको सेवक हुँ। BSB BSB: For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.
28 UDB तिमीहरू त्यस्ता व्यक्तिहरू हौ जो मैले दु:ख भोगेका सबै कठोर कुराहरुका समयमा मसँगै रहेका छौ। BSB BSB: You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials.
29 UDB यसैले अब, परमेश्वरले हरेकमा राज्य गर्नुहुँदा म तिमीहरूलाई शक्तिशाली अधिकारीहरू बनाउनेछु, जस्तो मेरो पिताले मलाई एउटा राजालेझैँ राज्य गर्न नियुक्त गर्नुभयो। BSB BSB: And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,
30 UDB म राजा हुँदा तिमीहरू मसँगै बस्नेछौ र खानेछौ र पिउनेछौ। वास्तवमा, इस्राएलका बाह्र कुलहरूमाथि न्याय गर्नलाई तिमीहरू सिंहासनहरूमा बस्नेछौ। BSB BSB: so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 UDB “सिमोन, सिमोन, सुन! कसैले नाङ्लोमा अन्न निफने जस्तो, शैतानले तिम्रो परीक्षा गर्न परमेश्वरसँग अनुमती मागेको छ र परमेश्वरले उसलाई त्यसो गर्न अनुमति दिनुभएको छ। BSB BSB: Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat.
32 UDB तर मैले तिम्रो लागि प्रार्थना गरेको छु, सिमोन, ता कि तिमीले मलाई विश्वास गर्न पुरै रूपमा रोक्ने छैनौ। यसैले जब तिमी मकहाँ फर्केर आउँछौ, यी मानिसहरू, तिम्रा भाइहरूलाई फेरि उत्साह देऊ।” BSB BSB: But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
33 UDB पत्रुसले उहाँलाई भने, “प्रभु, म तपाईंसँगै कैदमा जान तयार छु; म तपाईंसँगै मर्न चाहन्छु!” BSB BSB: “Lord,” said Peter, “I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death.”
34 UDB येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “पत्रुस, तिमीले यो जान भन्ने म इच्छा गर्छु कि, आज राति, भाले बास्नुअघि तिमीले मलाई चिन्दिन भनेर तीन पटक भन्नेछौ!” BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”
37 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई यो भन्छु किनभने एकजान अगमवक्ताले मेरो बारेमा धर्मशास्त्रमा लेखेका कुरा पूरा हुनैपर्छ: ‘मानिसहरूले उसलाई एउटा अपराधी भएको विचार गरे।’ धर्मशास्त्रमा मेरो बारेमा लेखिएका सबै कुरा पूरा हुँदैछ। BSB BSB: For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.”
38 UDB चेलाहरूले भने, “प्रभु, हेर्नुहोस्! हामीसँग दुईवटा तरवारहरू छन्।” उहाँले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “प्रशस्त छ। अब उप्रान्त तिमीहरूले यस्तो कुरा नगर।” BSB BSB: So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.
39 UDB येशूले सहर छोड्नुभयो र जैतुनको डाँडामा जानुभयो, जहाँ उहाँ प्राय: जानुहुन्थ्यो; उहाँका चेलाहरू उहाँसँगै गए। BSB BSB: Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
40 UDB जब उहाँ त्यस ठाउँमा उहाँ आइपुग्नुभयो जहाँ जान चाहनुहुन्थ्यो, तब उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “प्रार्थना गर कि पाप गर्नलाई परीक्षामा नपर्न परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई मद्दत गर्नुहुनेछ।” BSB BSB: When He came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”
41 UDB त्यसपछि उहाँ तिनीहरूबाट तीस मिटर जति टाढा जानुभयो, घुँडा टेक्नुभयो र प्रार्थना गर्नुभयो। उहाँले भन्नुभयो, BSB BSB: And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,
43 UDB त्यसपछि स्वर्गबाट एउटा स्वर्गदूत आए र उहाँलाई ढाडस दिए। BSB BSB: Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.
44 UDB उहाँले महान संकष्ट भोग्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। यसैले उहाँले झन् व्यकुल भएर प्रार्थना गर्नुभयो। उहाँको पसिना रगतका ठूला थोपाहरू जस्तो जमिनमा झर्दैथियो। BSB BSB: And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45 UDB जब उहाँ प्रार्थनाबाट उठ्नुभयो, उहाँ आफ्ना चेलाहरूकहाँ फर्कनुभयो। आफ्ना दु:खको कारणले तिनीहरू अति थकित भएकोले उहाँले तिनीहरू निदाउनै लागेको भेट्टाउनुभयो। BSB BSB: When Jesus rose from prayer and returned to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.
46 UDB उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई उठाउनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू सुत्दैरहनु हुँदैन! ऊठ! प्रार्थना गर कि परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई मद्दत गर्नुहुनेछ ता कि कुनै कुराले पनि तिमीहरुलाई पाप गर्ने इच्छा दिनेछैन।” BSB BSB: “Why are you sleeping?” He asked. “Get up and pray so that you will not enter into temptation.”
47 UDB येशू अझै बोल्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो, मानिसहरूको एउटा भिड उहाँकहाँ आयो। बाह्र चेलाहरूमध्ये एकजना यहूदाले तिनीहरूलाई अगुवाइ गर्दैथियो। उहाँलाई चुम्बन गर्न ऊ येशूको नजिक आयो। BSB BSB: While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.
48 UDB तर येशूले उसलाई भन्नुभयो, “यहूदा, के तिमी म, मानिसको पुत्रलाई मलाई मेरा शत्रुहरूका हातमा सुम्पिदिनलाई साँच्चै चुम्वन गर्नेछौ? BSB BSB: But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 UDB जब चेलाहरूले के हुँदैथियो भन्ने महसुस गरे, तिनीहरूले भने, “प्रभु, के हामी तिनीहरूलाई हाम्रा तरवारले हानौं?” BSB BSB: Those around Jesus saw what was about to happen and said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?”
50 UDB तिनीहरूमध्ये एकजनाले मुख्य पूजाहारीको सेवकलाई हान्यो, तर उसको दाहिने कान मात्रै काटियो। BSB BSB: And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
51 UDB तर येशूले भन्नुभयो, “त्यस्तो कुनै कुरा अब फेरि नगर।” त्यसपछि उहाँले सेवकको कान छुनुभयो र उसलाई निको पार्नुभयो। BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.
52 UDB त्यसपछि येशूले उहाँलाई गिरप्तार गर्न आएका मुख्य पूजाहारीहरू, मन्दिरका सुरक्षा अधिकारीहरू र यहूदी अगुवाहरू लाई भन्नुभयो, “यो आश्चर्यको कुरा हो कि म एउटा डाँकु भएझैं मलाई गिरफ्तार गर्न तिमीहरू तरवारहरू र लाठीहरू लिएर यहाँ आएका छौ। BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?
53 UDB धेरै दिनदेखि म तिमीहरूसँगै मन्दिरमा थिएँ, तर तिमीहरूले मलाई गिरफ्तार गर्ने कोसिस गर्दै गरेनौ! तर तिमीहरूले जे इच्छा गर्छौ त्यो तिमीहरूले यही समयमा गर्दैछौ। यो त्यो समय पनि हो जतिबेला शैतानले दुष्ट कुराहरू गर्दैछ जस्तो उसले गर्न चाहान्छ। BSB BSB: Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”
54 UDB तिनीहरूले येशूलाई पक्रे र उहाँलाई लिएर गए। तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई मुख्य पूजाहारीको घरमा ल्याए। पत्रुसले धेरै पछाडिबाट तिनीहरूलाई पछ्याउँदैथिए। BSB BSB: Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.
55 UDB मानिसहरूले चोकको बीचमा आगो बाले र एकसाथ बसे। पत्रुस तिनीहरूको माझमा बसे। BSB BSB: When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 UDB आगोले तिनलाई उज्यालो बनाउँदा एकजना सेविकाले पत्रुसलाई त्यहाँ बस्दैगरेको देखिन्। उनले होसियारसाथ तिनलाई हेरिन् र भनिन्, “यो मानिस पनि उसैसँग थियो जसलाई तिनीहरूले गिरफ्तार गरेका छन्।” BSB BSB: A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.
57 UDB तर तिनले यसो भन्दै इन्कार गरे, “स्त्री, म उहाँलाई चिन्दिनँ!” BSB BSB: But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.
58 UDB एकछिनपछि अरू कसैले पत्रुसलाई देख्यो र भन्यो, “तिमी पनि तिनीहरूले गिरफ्तार गरेका मानिसको साथमा हुनेहरूमध्येकै एक हौ!” तर पत्रुसले भने, “ए मानिस, म तिनीहरूमध्येको होइन!” BSB BSB: A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
59 UDB करिब एक घण्टापछि अरू कसैले चर्को स्वरमा भन्यो, “यो मानिसले जसरी बोल्दछ त्यसले ऊ गालीलीको क्षेत्रको हो भन्ने दर्शाउँछ। निश्चय नै यो मानिस पनि त्यही मानिससँग थियो जसलाई तिनीहरूले गिरफ्तार गरेका छन्। BSB BSB: About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”
60 UDB तर पत्रुसले भने, “ए मानिस, तिमी के भन्दैछौ, मलाई थाहा छैन!” तिनी बोल्दै गरेको बेलामा तुरन्तै एउटा भाले बास्यो। BSB BSB: “Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
61 UDB प्रभु येशू पछाडि फर्कनुभयो र पत्रुसलाई नै हेर्नुभयो। त्यसपछि प्रभुले तिनलाई भन्नुभएको कुरा पत्रुसले याद गरे, “आज राती भाले बास्नुअघि तिमीले मलाई चिन्ने कुरालाई तिमीले तीनपल्ट इन्कार गर्नेछौ।” BSB BSB: And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
62 UDB र तिनी चोकबाट बाहिर गए र धेरै दु:ख मानेर रोए। BSB BSB: And he went outside and wept bitterly.
63 UDB येशूलाई पहरा दिँदै बसेका मानिसहरूले उहाँको गिल्ला गर र उहाँलाई कुटे। BSB BSB: The men who were holding Jesus began to mock Him and beat Him.
64 UDB तिनीहरूले उहाँको आँखामा पट्टी बाँधे र उहाँलाई भने, “तँ अगमवक्ता होस् भन्ने कुरा हामीलाई देखा! तँलाई हिर्काउने को हो हामीलाई भन! BSB BSB: They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”
65 UDB उहाँको अपमान गर्दै उहाँको बारेमा तिनीहरूले अरू धेरै दुष्ट कुराहरू भने। BSB BSB: And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.
66 UDB भोलिपल्ट बिहान सबेरै, यहूदी अगुवाहरूमध्ये धेरैजना एकसाथ भेला भए। यो समूहमा मुख्य पुजहारिहरू र यहूदी व्यवस्था सिकाउने मानिसहरू थिए। तिनीहरूले येशूलाई यहूदीहरूको महासभामा लगे। त्यहाँ तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, BSB BSB: At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,
67 UDB “यदि तँ ख्रीष्ट होस् भने हामीलाई भन!” तर उहाँले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “यदि मैले म उही हुँ भने पनि तपाईंहरूले मलाई विश्वास गर्नुहुनेछैन।” BSB BSB: “If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.
68 UDB यदि ख्रीष्टको बारेमा तपाईंहरूको विचार के छ भनी मैले तपाईंहरूलाई सोधें भने पनि तपाईंहरू मलाई जवाफ दिनुहुन्न। BSB BSB: And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.
69 UDB तर अबदेखि म, मानिसको पुत्र सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वरको छेउमा बसिरहेको र राज्य गरिरहेको हुनेछु!” BSB BSB: But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
70 UDB त्यसपछि तिनीहरू सबैले सोधे, “यदि त्यसो हो भने, तँ भन्दैछस् कि तँ परमेश्वरको पुत्र होस्?” उहाँले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “हो, तपाईंहरूले भनेको जस्तै हो।” BSB BSB: So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”
