3 UDB केही मानिसहरूले पक्षघात भएको एकजना मानिसलाई लिएर येशूकहाँ त्यस घरमा आए। चारजना मानिसहरूले उसलाई ओछ्यानसहित बोकेर ल्याए। BSB BSB: Then a paralytic was brought to Him, carried by four men.
4 UDB त्यहाँ जम्मा भएका भीडका कारणले तिनीहरूले त्यस मानिसलाई येशूकहाँ ल्याउन सकेनन्। त्यसैले, तिनीहरू घरको छानामाथि चडे र येशूको ठिक माथिको छानामा एउटा ठूलो प्वाल बनाए। तिनीहरूले पक्षघात भएको मानिसलाई उसको ओछयानमा त्यो प्वालबाट तल येशूको अगडि झारे। BSB BSB: Since they were unable to get to Jesus through the crowd, they uncovered the roof above Him, made an opening, and lowered the paralytic on his mat.
6 UDB यहूदी व्यवस्था सिकाउने केही मानिसहरू त्यहाँ बस्दै थिए। तिनीहरूले मनमनै विचार गर्न सुरु गरे, BSB BSB: But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking in their hearts,
7 UDB “यो मानिसले आफैंलाई को हो भनी विचार गर्छ? ऊ अहंकारी छ र त्यसो भनेर परमेश्वरको अपमान गर्छ! रमेश्वरले मात्र पापहरू क्षमा गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ!” BSB BSB: “Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8 UDB तिनीहरूले के विचार गर्दै थिए भनेर येशूले आफ्नो मनमा तुरुन्तै थाहा पउनुभयो। उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू यी कुराहरू किन विचार गर्दैछौ?” BSB BSB: At once Jesus knew in His spirit that they were thinking this way within themselves. “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?” He asked.
9 UDB मलाई के भन्न सजिलो हुन्छ, ‘मैले तिम्रा पापहरू क्षमा गरेको छु,’ वा ‘उठ! आफ्नो ओछ्यान उठाऊ र हिंड?’ BSB BSB: “Which is easier: to say to a paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’?
10 UDB म तिमीहरूलाई देखाउनेछु कि मानिसको पुत्रलाई पृथ्वीमा पापहरू क्षमा गर्ने अधिकार छ।” त्यसपछि उहाँले पक्षघात भएको मानिसलाई भन्नुभयो, BSB BSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic,

As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
13 UDB येशूले कर्फनहुम छोड्नुभयो र गालील समुद्रको किनारै किनार हिंड्नुभयो। एउटा ठुलो भीड उहाँकहाँ आयो र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई शिक्षा दिनुभयो। BSB BSB: Once again Jesus went out beside the sea. All the people came to Him, and He taught them there.
14 UDB उहाँ हिंड्दै गर्नुहुँदा, उहाँले लेवी नाम गरेका एकजना मानिसलाई देख्नुभयो, जसको बुबाको नाम अल्फयस थियो। तिनी आफ्नो कार्यालयमा बस्दै थिए, जहाँ तिनले करहरू उठाउँथे। येशूले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “मसँग आऊ।” तिनी उठे र येशूसँग गए। BSB BSB: As He was walking along, He saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Levi got up and followed Him.
15 UDB पछि, लेवीको घरमा येशूले भोजन खाँदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। धेरै पापीहरू र करहरू मानिसहरूले पनि येशू र उहाँका चेलाहरूसँग खाँदै थिए। BSB BSB: While Jesus was dining at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were many who followed Him.
16 UDB यहूदी व्यवस्था सिकाउनेहरू र फरिसी समुदयका मानिसहरूले येशूलाई पापीहरू र कर उठाउने मानिसहरूसँग खाँदै गर्नुभएको देखे। तिनीहरूले येशूका चलाहरूलाई सोधे, “उहाँले किन पापीहरू र कर उठाउँने मानिसहरूसँग बसेर खाँनु र पिउँनुहुन्छ?” BSB BSB: When the scribes who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with these people, they asked His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
18 UDB यतिबेला यो समयमा, बप्तिस्मा दिने यूहन्नाका चेलाहरू र फरिसी समूहका केही मानिसहरूले तिनीहरूले सधैं गरेझैं उपवास बस्दै थिए। केही मानिसहरू येशूकहाँ आए र उहाँलाई सोधे, “यूहन्नाका चेलाहरू र फरिसीहरू प्रायः उपवास बस्छन्। तपाईंका चेलाहरू किन उपवास बस्दैनन्?” BSB BSB: Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were often fasting. So people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t Your disciples fast like John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees?”
19 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “जब कुनै पुरुषले कुनै स्त्रीसँग विवाह गर्न लागेको हुन्छ, दुलाहा आफ्ना मित्रहरूका साथमा रहुन्जेलसम्म तिनीहरूले निश्चय नै उपवास बस्नेछैनन्। विवाहचाहिं दुलाहासँग भोज खाने र उत्सव मनाउने समय हो। विशेषगरी दुलाहा तिनीहरूका साथमा रहुन्जेलसम्म उपवासको समय होइन। BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them? As long as He is with them, they cannot fast.
20 UDB तर कुनैदिन दुलाहालाई तिनीहरूबाट लगिनेछ। त्यसपछि ती दिनहरूमा, तिनीहरूमा तिनीहरू उपवास बस्नेछन्।” BSB BSB: But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
21 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई लगातार भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूले पुरानो कपडामा नयाँ टालोले टाल्दैनन्। तिमीहरूले त्यसो गरे भने, जब तिनीहरूले त्यो कपडा धुन्छन्, त्यो टालो खुम्चिन्छ र नयाँ कपडाको टालोले पुरानो कपडालाई झन् धेरै च्यातिदिन्छ। परिणामस्वरूप, त्यो प्वाल झन् ठूलो हुन्छ!” BSB BSB: No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and a worse tear will result.
22 UDB यसैगरी, मानिसहरूले नयाँ दाखमद्यलाई भण्डारण गर्न त्यसलाई पुरानो छालाको मशकहरूमा राख्दैनन्। तिनीहरूले त्यसो गरे भने, नयाँ दाखमद्यले छालाका मसकहरूलाई फटाईदिन्छ, किनभने दाखमद्य फुलेर आउँदा र धेरै हुँदा ती तन्किंदैनन्। परिणामस्वरूप, दाखमद्य र छालाको मशकहरू दुवै नष्ट हुन्छन्। त्यसको साटोमा, मानिसहरूले नयाँ दाखमद्यलाई नयाँ छालाको मशकहरूमा नै राख्नुपर्छ!” BSB BSB: And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.”
24 UDB तिनीहरूले त्यसो गर्दै गरेको कोही फरिसीहरूले देखे र येशूलाई भने, “हेर्नुहोस्! तिनीहरूले विश्राम-दिनको सम्बन्धमा भएको यहूदी व्यवस्थाको उलंघन गर्दैछन्। तिनीहरूले किन त्यसो गर्दैछन्?” BSB BSB: So the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
26 UDB अबियाथार प्रधान पुजारी भएको समयमा, दाऊद परमेश्वरको घरमा प्रवेश गरे र केही रोटी मागे। प्रधान पुजारीले उनलाई परमप्रभुको अघि चढाइएको केही रोटी दिए। हाम्रो व्यवस्थाअनुसार, पुजारीहरूले मात्र त्यो रोटी खान हुन्थ्यो! तर दाऊदले त्यसबाट केही खाए। त्यसपछि तिनले केही रोटी आफूसँग भएका मानिसहरूलाई पनि दिए।” BSB BSB: During the high priesthood of Abiathar, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which was lawful only for the priests. And he gave some to his companions as well.”
27 UDB येशूले तिनीहरूलाई अझै भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूको आवश्यकता पूरा गर्नलाई विश्राम-दिनको व्यवस्था गरियो। विश्राम-दिनको आवश्यकताहरू पूरा गर्नलाई मानिसहरूको सृष्टि गरिएको होइन!” BSB BSB: Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
28 UDB यसैले स्पष्ट भन्नुपर्दा, मानिसको पुत्रचाहिं, विश्राम-दिनको पनि प्रभु हो!” BSB BSB: Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
